Lolololol.. As soon as my crippled hand grabs that ball I’m driving straight to hole one.. What can I say!! It’s in me bittccchh!!!! Nails a fare way drive, smokes a hittie. Drives off
Haha, I thought the same thing. I've had a few "last rounds" already in my life. It takes a strong will to make it to 95 without ever claiming you'll never be back, but unless he's got an appointment with ol' Doctor K tomorrow afternoon I'm sure he'll find some justification to pony up those greens fees again.
My grandfather is 90 years old and I played his final round with him last year. This video made me cry my eyes out because I miss playing with him so much.
@@bcwestcoast I plan on getting a tattoo of his portrait against a golf themed background eventually. I’ll never forget, or take for granted all that time.
We all struggle to come to grips with our own mortality and this gentleman has done so with great courage and dignity, god bless him. A wonderful role model.
Heart conditions cut my Grandpa's golf game very short and then his life. My grandma always said that the hardest thing was watching him mentally accept having to step away from the game he loved forever. Boy what I wouldn't give to have another 18 with him. 👏
as someone who has worked at multiple clubs while in high school, something that has stuck with me is that golf is the game for all ages and it sticks with you. the older members were always as happy getting out of their cars to play 18 as when they were young
Beautiful film! My Dad gave the game up at 88 years old 4 months ago. He’d played for 60 odd years and was responsible for getting me into playing this great game. To play with my Dad the last time he played was such an emotional round. Love golf and love my Dad.....💕
Last time I went with my grandpa, I believe he was 87 and I had a feeling it was the last time..so I let it really sink in and enjoyed it a little extra
Lovely film Stu, what an amazing genteman Kevin is. I've not played in over 14 months and have been stuck in for 11 months and I miss it but I know I am one of the lucky ones. Seeing Kevin's smile at the end lets me know how great my next round will be. Take care pal, thanks for making this. Kevin, nice to meet you sir from a pommie b ...... !
Stuart, this is human emotional "heartwork"....... I cried, I thought of my Dad choosing to leave the game and the only few holes that I was able to play along with him, he is still living at age 88. Thanks man. Rich
Absolutely beautiful and well done...Kevin is an absolute legend and I love his approach to both the game and life. Acceptance is never an easy thing. Wishing nothing but the best for Kevin in his next chapter!!! Thank you for sharing this story!
I am not much over half Kevin's age and he hits it much better than I can! I have huge respect for Kevin and his generation, they were made of something special. Rear gunner was no place to be. A huge debt of gratitude is owed aswell as admiration for the example he continues to set for us all.
I managed to get back to my old home course to play with my Dad in June 2017, He was 84 then. Three months later I was back at the club for his wake. Over 3 years later, when I play that course I can hear his voice suggesting where to aim and reminding me of his old adages that I'd heard so many times.
What a top bloke and the reality of having to give up will hit us all ,Stuart realized that the time had come and I hope I can still be playing as well as he did at 95.
Erik! You opened my eyes to golf in the summer of 2019. Is there a reason for the decline in uploads lately? You really are my #1 reason to stay on RUclips. I hope everything is alright. I love the videos please keep making them
To grow old and to look back on your life is truly a blessing. Unfortunately we don't appreciate what we've been through or what we are going through until our time is almost gone. I don't think I want to live forever but I do know that I want to play golf forever.
Honestly I wouldn’t mind being 95 years old and playing some beautiful golf course, enjoying what I love most and passing away on the course. I would be happy with that.
This was very well done. Excellent work. Had to look Kevin up after this and unfortunately he passed away July of this year, so this is a lovely keepsake for his friends and family to cherish for the rest of their lives.
Update: This incredible man, our father, passed away yesterday, Sunday July 4, aged 96. He is incredibly missed but we were grateful to have had him in our lives. Therese
Sad to hear you're playing your last game, but very happy that you have had such a long journey with the game so many of us play. I think it's inspirational.. Well played Stuart!
a very touching look at life in general... all things come to an end... I hope I am able to accept the "last round" as gracefully as Kevin seemingly has... a wonderful little film... thank you...
Talked to my 84 year old uncle yesterday who is annoyed at the lingering cold weather keeping him from hitting balls on the range. Inspiring to see the love affairs with the game.
Wow ! What a man , have a lump in my throat just thinking how I'd feel to knowingly play my last round of golf . I can only imagine how I'd feel ? To play to the age of 95 is an achievement but also a blessing and I hope that I too may be able to play to that age or at least have the ability . Thank you for sharing such an important part of your life , I'm sure we can all learn something from this and try to enjoy every shot even the bad ones .

I've watched this video several times admiring not only his spirit, but the quiet calm he accepted that his time spent chasing the ball was over. Tonight, I searched to see where Mr. Kerin is now and how's he's doing. What I found...on July 4th, Mr. Kerin passed away at 96. From is obituary..."Finally reunited in Heaven - after 8,297 days apart - with his beloved wife of nearly 49 years, Dawn ... who left us all way too soon in 1998. Forever in our hearts and now enjoying a well- deserved eternity of joy and peace ... resting in our Great God's loving hands and care." I hope I never stopped being touched and inspired by people I'll never meet. Rest well Mr. Kerin.
I live close to Grange GC, and know a few members... this copped me right in the feels. I've been playing for almost 2 years... so pretty amazing to hear wise words from someone who's been playing 50+.
Mr. Kerr...very well done sir. Beautifully shot, edited, produced and a great job of narration by Kevin. You should be very proud of this one. I’ve shared it with a 100 or so of my clubs members. It’s a gem!
Most brilliant video you uploaded in all time. For real this reminds me of my grandpa who played untill he couldn't pick up a club. Somehow this already reminds me of myself when i will be playing my lost game of golf. Truly breathtaking that life is forever changing and nothing will be permanent. Thank you for making such a beautiful video for us to reflect on.
Golf has been a part of my life since I was 8 years old, I'm 34 now. I get emotional thinking about getting to the age where I get to say "this is my last round". If I'm lucky enough to get there, I'm going to soak it in. In the mean time, I'm going enjoy every shot, good or bad.
His last round of golf while sharing the wisdom of golfs life lessons THANK YOU SIR!!!!! I'm gonna crack a 270 yard drive for you this weekend, I hope it's as straight as you hit your drives....
Just realized that I am more overwhelmed by the idea of my final round than I am of dying

Brilliant post.
Seriously I've never even considered such a thing. I literally feel stronger about that than dying.
As a golfer I wouldn't be surprised if he went back to the golf course the very next week to play...
I’m fucking dying! There’s a part 2. Called.. I found a couple range balls in the garage

LMFAO!!!! They kicked him out so many times for ball hunting that he’s got to make a promo on how friendly the staff is
Very next week? More like the very next day. So awesome I hope I can play nearly that long.

One of the only comments on here saying this! Thank you!
The fact he can swing a club at 95 is amazing!
he still hits better than me!

Inspirational! Well all have a last round. Well done Kevin fir choosing it.
thanks Stuart . Nice film
Thought to myself "don't cry, don't cry". I failed 10 seconds in
Oh stop, absolutely no reason for this to make you cry
I didn't know this was a challenge but I failed as well. So many lessons in this... if we only had the wisdom to listen. God Bless him.
