While the video narrator doesn't really understand the swing, what I'll tell you should encourage you some more. Unbeknownst to most, the lead arm actually SHOULD be flexing as you approach contact, which means it will be bent at contact. The whole idea of keeping it straight is nonsense. It's advocated by people who don't understand body mechanics.

( you can't seperate the two obviously spin is spin but they have different effects on the ball in the air) ideal spin rate for a driver is around 2000. the reason why is it will go farther and stay straighter. Anyone that played golf back in the day before the balls were changed can attest that the balls curved more back then. It's the same reason when you put vaseline on a golf club it drastically reduces spin and those shots always stay straight. The less spin on a golf ball the straighter it goes. 1. He was poor. Golf is not cheap.
    2. He broke his arm and it never set properly. Amazingly, this became a golf blessing.
    3. He was black. Golf is not a black sport, especially if you're poor. Plus, he's playing in the deep south for some of these tourneys. Not exactly the warmest place for non whites. Especially in the 70's and 80s.
    4. He led the tour in driving accuracy for 10 consecutive years. Astonishing. Can I get my lead arm broken please?

Someone commented on the creator of this video mentioning Calvin's race and brought up Tiger Woods.
Funny how his mom is Thai, his dad was a mulatto, but Tiger is "black." Make it make sense.
