- In all the coverage of the Meta Quest 3, the most important change isn't being talked about. And no, we're not talking about Mixed Reality. We're talking clear, crisp, lenses.

I fully agree with your assessment. VR is truly only just now starting thanks to the bare minimum lens quality being finally achieved.
Short and precise thanks bro, Quest 3 is already pre-ordered cant wait🎉
SAMEEE can’t wait!

nice video@@itsdanielpaul
thank you!
Are RUclips shorts not aloud to go this long? This would have been a great informative short or tiktok. Not to take away from the video btw you pointed something out I haven't heard yet in my searches on the Q3
They can only go one minute. Does this feel like it should be a short/tik tok format? I'll keep that in mind! Tik Tok does 10 minute videos. Glad I helped!
Personally never had issues with the lenses on my Quest 1. Big sweetspot and image is quite clear even to the edges. Maybe I got super lucky with my model 😅.
Im excited the most about the smaller and more comfortable form factor of the Quest 3. Q1 really is a brick taped to your face.
I never even used the quest one, I went from The very first oculus to the second to the first actual production version and then Quest 2. All of them had the small sweet spot. Except maybe the 1!
Quest 1works better for me as well than the quest two , i think because of that ipd adjustment wheel and separate screens
I'm genuinely curious how pancake lenses have only just been introduced? Are pancake lenses really that complex of a technology? 🤔
or what I call, "crappy lenses" xD
Pancake lenses are dimmer. I prefer PSVR2 over quest pro visuals any day of the week. HDR with bright brights is nothing to sleep on.
Yeah I wonder why OLED isn't more widely adopted in the VR space... there must be some technical limitation. because I really really can't with the small sweet spot. I'll take slightly dimmer over having to constantly adjust any day.
Oh man I had the literal first Oculus Rift. That was not a good display lol. I had half-empty cans of ginger ale all over my apartment because I got motion sick so much. And the ghosting whoo! But still, the presence was there, that's whats so good about VR. 100% OLED now would be better now that it can track your movement.
Pancakes really do make things significantly dimmer. I'm not making that up. It's a case of pick your poison. The eyetracking in psvr makes it easy enough to know you're in the sweet spot IMO. I'm a graphics whore it's the lesser of 2 evils for me @@inceptional
@@inceptionalmicro oled will be the future of pancake lenses.
@@importon yeap, pancake lenses only pass like max of %20 of your real screen NIT when it was like %30 with fresnels, just check that 20000 nit pancake lens headset prototype demo from meta. it looks so good hope that in future we'll get that in a small form factor.
Balls
Don't shill for the breakfast lobby.
Everyone has talked about the optics... Literally EVERYONE
literally everyone?? the reviews I watched didn't talk about the pancake lenses. of course some did but most focused on mixed reality and the higher res screen. this is what I personally think is most important and after using it a bit its still not perfect cause you have to get the thing painfully tight to keep the text from blurring. I honestly might return it.
@@itsdanielpauldid you find that on the meta quest 3 you still had to have the headset in a specific position to get clear text in the centre or did you find that you had clear text all the way to the outside edges? I have found that the centre 30 to 40% is pretty clear but the rest can still blur out if you just point your head in one position and look around with your eyes.
I've also found I've had issues with glare and internal reflections causing ghosting within the unit
From the moment it got announced everyone knew lenses were the biggest improvement, most people don't care about AR
AR is really cool tho.
Can’t say that unless you don’t try it.
The trouble is I think there's a difference between good pancake lenses and terrible pancake lenses. Just expecting something to be fantastic because it uses pancake lenses is not the whole story it has to be a good quality pair of lenses.
You lost me at the end
How, he's spitting facts I completely agree.
Coz he mentioned Apple Vision Pro? I don't know why the Quest users confuse Vision Pro for an "expensive Quest headset" while, in reality, it is a full-fledged professional computer. It is literally like wearing MacBook like a headset. The price is justified in my opinion.
@@தமிழோன் wish that android companies would do something even better and more affordable lol. Still would be interested to check out the apple vision but that pricetag is pretty hefty.
@@தமிழோன்yeah of course the price is justified, it’s nearly 4 K per eye micro OLED with the fastest silicon in a mobile device, 12 cameras, eye tracking, face tracking, etc. it’s literally the pinnacle of technology
@@தமிழோன் Just say you're an apple fanboy
