The stem reminds me of the New Straight Jacket II, which is cool because one of the prototypes between the classic racing jacket, and the Jawbone/Split Jacket actually used the Straight Jacket II stem before they settled on the final design.
Yeah I really like the design features they used for this model. Lots of cuts and curves which was refreshing. One thing I didn't care for was they way they designed how you remove the lenses. You have to use the included tool to completely remove the bolt system to them pry open the jaw to remove the lenses. A lot of work in my opinion
Also did you play with the hex tool much. What is it like taking the frame apart. I imagine this isn't switchlock for ease of lens changing, but rather to cradle the lens instead of pressure fitting it into place. Less stress resulting in less distortion.
Same question as Bill Smith, do these use the same lenses as the Split Jacket or are they a different shape? Wanting to know because I own a Split Jacket and it would be great to mix and change lenses
I'm looking for replacement lenses for the Shocktube but I'm having a hard time finding them. What lenses would fit this particular set of glasses if any?
Hey there. Nice review. As a female I am looking for a small pair of eyepro for deployment and everything I come across is too large, hits my helmet etc. Would you say these are the smallest tactical glasses by oakley?
+Lisa Munoz unfortunately these are not very small. If you're looking for something smaller and have the ability to shop through the standard issue site I would recommend looking at the five squared, straight jacket or the valve. All three models would be better suited for a smaller face and still give you full frame protection.
Using these in 2024. Great pair of glasses with multiple uses.
Have personally owned about 5 shocktubes. Favorite from Oakley.
On my fifth pair!

Yeah, it didn't seem like a quick change system. I'm guessing it's more for optics.
Fair point
I got a pair of these and there is a noticeable gap in the center nose piece and I can't get the screw to go any farther. Any suggestions?
Those are a nice pair of shades. good review!
Love this they look great.
Excellent Review dude! Thanks!!!
Have you tried these with a Notch brand hat that has the notches made for sunglasses?

its a mix of the Jawbone/Racing Jacket and Oil Rig features
yes, it's definitely a unique pair
For those asking, Split Jacket and Jawbone lenses do not fit the Shocktube.
I got the replacement bolts in red and put them in like the Splitjacket to there the colored piece is facing out.
can you show me the website to buy these glasses? please
What justifies the price on glasses like this? The brand or the materials?
I know right

So do split jacket lenses also fit in here?
Do you know if the earstems can be removed? I see a little pin on top not sure how to remove it.

Revenant lense, and sportrx
Great video. Do you know what size head they would fit? Is this better for medium to large heads?
Yes, this model would fit a person with a larger head better
could you use these every day use with out looking tacky or tacit-cool
Lucky for you, you look good in most of them. Most Oakleys don't fit me very well, only the racing jackets seem to be OK.

Will the Shocktube accept the Split Jacket lenses?
I tried but can't find it + what do this cost
What kind of fit do they have?? asian fit wide face?
How badly is peripheral vision inhibited with the Shocktube?
All good peripheral except when looking down blocks seeing legs doesnt affect use generally really good peripheral
Hi - can these glasses be with prescription? Also, can I buy in SI Oakley not being myself military? Many thanks in advance
only military and LE can use SI Oakley ... that's the entire point of the SI Oakley program
Are the lenses marked z87
The lenses surpass the Z87.1 rating and are ballistic rating if I am correct they are MIL PRF 32432 rated… I’ll have to double check mine to verify
do these fit looser than the gascans? I have a bigger head
it should be tighter since it probably wraps more than the gascan
What are these called
Shocktube
did you not even read the title of the video? SMH
Would u be interested in selling that split jacket?
No sorry
Are they stamped z87?
yes
CS T just on the lens or lens and frame? I need a Z78 stamped frame
Daniel Stein they will be stamped on the frame. All Oakley lenses have at least z78 rating the majority isn't stamped though.
Cuanto cuestan
Hello.which one is more well-fitting between the tombstone and the shocktube and do you have pictures of that two models?
the shock tube will fit more tightly on the head. I don't have pictures but i have videos on both
Torx, not hex.
In your opinion, which do you prefer between the Det Cord and the Shocktube?
How much do they run for on the S.I. site?
$130
+Scott Walters Thank you sir
