      I have a pair of Oakley det cord safety glasses with Oakley prescription lenses. I noticed that the ones in this video are stamped with the safety rating, mine with the prescription lenses are not stamped with rating, only with the oakley logo. Is that how they are supposed to be.

    Just to clarify, the ESS URX Insert will convert the M Frame 2.0 to prescription. It also fits the M Frame 3.0

    Hello, do the Oakley ShockTube safety glasses come with optional clear lenses? Also, I wear progressive prescription glasses since I can't see close or far away. Are you able to grind progressive RX into the ShockTube lenses?
    I will be using them for woodworking, which includes a wide range of chip, dust and debris ejecting power tools.

    HI, I bought the SI BALLISTIC M FRAME 3.0, Blk today. I'm a registered nurse who work with COVID patients, I just want to ask how I can safely disinfect the frame without damaging the lenses and not scratching it and keeping the anti fog coating inside? I received a bottle of anti fog spray material.

      Thanks for the support, Carl! Oakley is introducing some clear and transition shields in some of their more popular sport frames like the Radar EV Path, Jawbreaker, and Flak 2.0 XL. We placed an order and it is slowly starting to trickle in. We have not hear any news of a brand new safety model though. If you need it to be ANSI rated, we would go with the Det Cord, Tombstone Spoil or M frame 2.0. Hope this helps!

    Knowing Oakley it is really good brand. I always love them but the price is too much. So I switched Softgle Comfort which gives the same function. I always love the glasses with anti fog, anti scratch plus gives you a clearer vison!

      Hi there! The closest thing to a gasket that Oakley offers would be the shocktube: www.sportrx.com/oakley-shocktube-si-ballistic.html I am not saying this is a true gasket option but it does offer slightly more protection on the top, bottom, and sides of the frames. ruclips.net/video/Kvjk7usUAe0/видео.html&feature=emb_title

    How easy is it to replace lenses on the DET cord ANSI?

    • @sportrxeyewear
      @sportrxeyewear  Год назад

      Hi Damien! Because it's ANSI rated it does require a bit more effort to swap out the lenses. We encourage having a licensed optician perform the interchange the first time to prevent damage to the frame and/or lenses. Once you see how much pressure to apply and at what areas, you can likely perform your own lens interchange thereafter. Hope this helps!

    They are scratch resistant?

    • @sportrxeyewear
      @sportrxeyewear  3 года назад

      Hi there! The Oakley Plutonite lenses offered in this frame are not scratch resistant. Plutonite is a high grade polycarbonate which makes it amazing for impact protection but it can still scratch. On the flip side a glass lens won't scratch but it is very dangerous to wear in a workplace since it has very little impact protection. Glass lenses are not offered in Oakley frames for that very reason. Hope this helps!

      Hey there, Graham here from SportRx. When it comes to safety glasses, I understand that some people are fine opting for whatever brand of protection eyewear they can find at Home Depot, Lowes, or the local hardware store. I've worked a fair amount of construction, so I've definitely used these options myself.
      But, when it comes to "prescription safety glasses" for the job site, those cheaper options are not going to come in Rx. You can wear them over your Rx glasses, but that can be uncomfortable and awkward.
      If you're the type that likes to have one dedicated pair of prescription frames for the job site, going with a trusted brand like Oakley, Wiley, etc. is a solid bet. My experience is also that higher quality brands tend to do a much better job with anti-fogging and clarity.
      With that said, to each their own. Cheers!
