    Those are ones I wear. I have the clear, the dark and the amber and they are fantastic. Just be sure to use the solution they recommend to clean the lenses.

    I have Wiley X Guard and WileyX Valor. I still use Kimberly Clark Nemesis as well. All are used for shooting, circular saw work, garage work.

    I’ve been wearing Oakleys since the 80’s. Expensive, but well worth it. I ride a motorcycle and wear these in my helmet. The frames are flexible enough to be comfortable enough to wear all day in the helmet. I can raise my shield at speed and not worry about loosing my eyesight. I have shooters lens for the range. Great product.

    I bought my first set of Oakleys, the original Eyeshades, in the late 1980s. I am still wearing that SAME pair of glasses every day, more than 30 years later. They were dorky back then and are laughable now, but they are supremely comfortable and offer better protection than any other glasses made before or since. I also have a pair of Oakley Razor Blades I wear from time to time. They are almost as protective and considerably less dorky.
    Oakleys are a terrific investment if you care for them. Their Achilles heel is the earpieces. They eventually break where they snap onto the frame, at the hinge. That’s a bummer when that happens....

    I use a lot of Oakley products from prescription readers to helmet and goggles for snowboarding. They definitely hurt the wallet, but you are getting great quality. I won’t say that there aren’t other products out there that will work good and are cheaper, but I haven’t been disappointed when I purchased Oakley. Expensive brand yes, but great products. Regardless on what you get, please protect your eyes!!

    Before I even got into shooting, I started using the Smith and Wesson magnum mini safety glasses for my job. You can get several pairs for the cost of Oakley. Sure, they aren't as nice, but they are sufficient for my needs.
    There are several other companies that make good options for the cost. If you are thrifty feel free to look around for other options.

    i work for uaw and i just got my pair. love how the top of the lenses don’t press my eyebrows, the sweat from my eyebrows would cloud up my safety glasses forcing me to take them off, clean them and back to work. with these i don’t need to do any of that. plus the clear lenses won’t get me in hr…

    Obviously the review is for the Oakleys but what glasses is Adam wearing? Which ones do you recommend for a much lower budget?

      I got some wiley x guards for around $70 altogether. Including smoke and clear lens, fits pretty well for my face!

    Great review but the lenses come of very easy just push from the outside mate . I wear them all day 6 out of 7 days a week and change the lenses super easy in 20 seconds. The m frame 2-3 that I had was a lot harder to change the lense . And I got the operators kit and bought a second to have in tan . Worth every penny

    I have some prescription oakleys but I dont know if they are ballistic rated. Just how important is that rating?

    • @marcuskennedy9356
      @marcuskennedy9356 3 года назад +2

      Ballistic rated glasses are higher rated than standard Z87 ratings. However I’ve seen 87’s take flying skilsaw blade teeth in direct impact and get nothing more than a mean scratch

    • @tony21burton
      @tony21burton Год назад

      It’s basically the difference between penetration and shatter on impact or not mate . Protect your eyes as they are irreplaceable

    Had best eye pro I could buy, then got glasses and my top dollar eye pro would not fit over my specs. Use the wally world glasses over specks now. Miss them.

  • @JoshuaHocieniec

    The ESS Crossbow Suppressor are almost exactly the same but much easier to swap lenses.
    I've been really happy with mine and they were about $45 (single lens only) and extra lenses are about $10-15.

    Loved Oakley in my youth but unfortunately age has caught up to me and now I'm into bifocals. I have found NoCry Over-Spec Safety Glasses work great for the range and are not that expensive. They allow me to train with the glasses that I wear everyday.

    A few years back I use to wear Oakley sun glasses all the time. I know they were expensive but they fit well and I liked them. However the were not real world tough. They use to break all the time. It would appear they corrected that problem if the military uses them now.I haven bought a pair since the last pair broke and that was seven years ago. I don't see any Oakley's in my future. Your video pretty much assured that.

    I only own Oakleys, about 6 pairs. I’m only really happy with the Gascans, everything else was a waste of money. Long term I think they suck. Lens quality and any faux rubber trash degrades so do your research if these have any rubber and pitting lenses...
