We got asked to do a quick low down of the latest COMAND Online Plus system off the back of our previous system reviews.
We quickly walkthrough some of the functions of the latest COMAND System fitted to a brand new 2018 UK Mercedes E-Class. This system features Full Navigation, Digital and FM Radio along with Bluetooth Handsfree & A2DP. Includes extras such as MDI, USB, Apple CarPlay, App Connect / Mirror-Link.

Hi James, do you have review on the latest A Class MBUX Voice Command control.
Hello, love your video. I have older Apple iPod with tons of songs - is there a way to connect it? I had Audi before, plugged that iPod in glove compartment and played it whenever I needed it.
5:25 mine doesen't say carplay or android auto but it shows "mercedes link" can I still connect with android auto? it says that it can't start
Does the sat nav show speed cameras?
Note that Comand Online uses a 3G UMTS internet connection in the UK, unlike other countries which use 4G in these models. This means everything that uses an internet connection (apps, browser, internet radio, car office, etc.) is dreadfully slow to use. In my area (Swindon) I don't even get a signal most of the time. They also forget to mention, Mercedes have removed the ability to use your phone's internet connection (tethering) in the E Class (perhaps other models too). Hi. Can you listen to Apple CarPlay audio e.g. Tunein and at the SAME TIME use MERCEDES navigation and NOT Apple Maps ? Thanks

why would you want to not use google maps
can you split the screen while using car play Nav on one side music on others .Cant find how to do this.
Car play is full screen so only one app can display, just like your phone. Don't use Car play, just play your phone music as a Media source then you can have satnav as split screen.
How do i actually connect Android play? With option mercedes benz link?
I Recently Bought my 2019 E-Class its 220d SE - When I connect my iPhone 8 with iOS 13 to the Mercedes via lightening cable it does not launch the Apple Car play for some reason? Anyone can please help? Thank you.

Yeah I'm curious too, I'll ask my dealer. My Comand is quite slow. For example while on Bluetooth, skipping a track takes like 3-4 seconds, while in other cars it's instantaneous. Apple CarPlay crashes, zooming in/out on the comand nav again takes 3-4 seconds. While driving, the image in the nav kinda looks like it's skipping frames, not very smooth. Do you have any of these issues?

@@L4WJ4CK No. My Comand software is in the latest version. It's working smoothly, but the Bluetooth audio is still delayed about 2 seconds.
ehm... ehm... and then... ehm...
the map looks like the first standalone navigation back in 2007. No 3d buildings, no colors, no icons, no water no grass, no ... nothing. And the car is .. a red arrow. Also the resolutions is low, look at them fonts, they are huge. If I pay 100 000$ for a car that has a map of such a low quality is pretty pathetic!
I think you need to see it in the flesh. RUclips compression can often play tricks on your eyes.
This is basic nav. Mercedes offeres Command NAV foc 4000€ with probably best NAV on the market
Miso Mrvaljevic Please link that best navigation here in order to see it myself. Extra 4000$ .... why wouldn't everybody who pays 100,000.00$ give that extra 4000$? It means that this car reviewed is ... one of a kind.

Uk version is bag of shite 57k for a car and no android car play
