I am so happy I found your videos!! I have a 2020 SL450 and 2021 GLC300. Traded in 2018 GLC300 for the 2021. My cars are loaded. I never learned all the features on the 2018 and the 2021 is different. Need all the help I can get!! You’re videos are outstanding!! Anyway i would like to ask you something which is irrelevant of this video which is regarding a C-class 2013 7s automatic. i had test driven last day. While i was shifting in the manual mode the fear went like 1,2,3,4,5,6 but after that it went to D instead of 7 as if there was no 7th gear. I have no idea about it..is there anything wrong with it? Could you be kind enough to answer this. Thank you.
Maybe you need to drive faster. My GLE will use gear 9 when steadily cruising above 110km/h, below that speed always on 8th gear.
There is a difference between Manual shifting in "M" mode (if this car is equipped), and Automatic shifting. In "M" mode you have to engage the gear. But you are probably talking about "Automatic shifting", where you "restrict gear" - instead of "engage gear". For example, when you restrict to 6th gear - the car will not up-shift into the 7th gear... unless your RPM goes crazy RED. Then it will up-shift anyway to protect itself. But if you go to 7th gear - it will automatically go to "D" - since you have no gear restrictions at all. I'm going to make a video about it in the short future, so stay tuned!

It's optional dependin on model and year, and also type of the Navigation, but you can easily see speed limits if you use Android Auto connecting via your phone.
you are so helpful and thanks. However, the Navi system of Benz sucks. (mine is 2019 GLS550), I am learning to et used to it. Before, I just use my cell to guide.
Which MB are you using? I have a 2017 s550 coupé and I cannot see the forward camera above 10 miles. Is yours the 2020model? I don’t think so as the Burton’s seem an older lower class model. Thank
It's a 2017 GLS 450. All 3 cameras (actually 4) that I was using to shoot this video are mine and not part of this car. I pointed 1 to shoot the multimedia screen, 2nd toward the street and the 3rd toward the instrument cluster. This way I could explain what's going on around and give the full picture.

I can only see the problem with your memory because nowhere in this video... I was saving Costco's address. I used the "Previous Destinations" screen, just with the simple purpose of explaining.

Hiya MBZ, not sure if it was one of your videos I saw it on, but in order to permanently disconnect the stop/start permanently a linkage was disconnected on the battery post, do you agree this is safe to do?.
No, I don't agree. Plus, start using this feature and you will get used to it quickly. It will save you tons of money on the gas in the future.

Ive told my friends who owns any Japanese or others cars that when they upgrade to Mercedes things are completely different than they're uaed to. Ciao MBZ Master! Brand new subscriber here. Great information you've provided. I have a GLE 350. I am looking at vacant land in northern Arizona. The realtors give approximate driving instructions, however, they are very approximate. They do give the GPS coordinates. How would I enter the

Should be the same way as I've shown in this video Tip# 1. You can enter address using "Geo-Coordinates." Watch the Tip #1 of this video again, specifically at 17:50 where to enter, and you can see the screen where to change GPS coordinates if you stop the video at 17:53. Once you changed the values, click on "Start Route Guidance."

Turn off the car for a few minutes. Then turn back on and see if it fixed.
@@MBZMaster tried to do that several times no difference, some video says turn key hold accelerator down for 10 secs then leave for 2 mins, you heard of this fix? Cheers
@@johnhughes8325 No, but there can be a few different problems to cause it. I would check the auxiliary battery, also maybe brake pads and calipers. I would bring it to your local MB service department for a diagnostics.

My Garmin navigation gives me the posted speed limits as I travel, will my '16 MB GLE350 do that? I can't find it.
The car in the video is 2017 GLS450, which has exactly the same Navi as 16 GLE. Watch this video and see if there's any speed limit icons - when I was shooting while driving. I don't think I've seen any. Just go by 35mph in City and 65 mph highway unless posted differently.

You have to turn the volume up while Navigation is talking. Not before, not after.

I prefer Android Auto, but it is not available on my 2016 A250 (W176) although Apple Carplay is available.
Hi again. Do you know by any chance where is the back reverse camera located? I've you explain our attach a picture would be appreciated I've tried to clean the lens but I couldn't find it. Seems that is hidden or I'm blind 😅
Most models, camera opens only when you put in reverse. Other times it's closed inside , so it doesn't get dirty or damaged. You can go to "vehicle settings" in your central display and select Camera, then open if you need to clean it.
@@MBZMaster my car is ML 350 Bluetec 2015. I have looked all over in the back of my car and cannot see the camera at all or where it can be hidden.
As I said, you need to go to "vehicle settings" in your COMAND display and open it via camera settings.
My CD Changer/Navigation system hard drive just died. Is there a way of repairing it economically??
You have to be more specific. Died - like lost power? Then you need to check your fuses.

It depends on the model, but usually you can see it in the Engine Data screen. Watch my other video about Dynamic Select where I talk about the "Engine Data" screen. You can see your battery charge info right there: ruclips.net/video/_0ac5T0hAgs/видео.html
Zoom in & Out on 2019 E450: when I zoom out, that view only stays for few seconds. Looks like you can keep it where you set it. How do you make it keep that view, and not revert back to where it was?
There should be an "Auto-Zoom" in Settings. Make sure to de-select it.
Are you paying for a monthly service, to get the traffic information?
You need to have Sirius XM radio service - in order to get a traffic for Navigation. But MB USA gives 5 years of traffic for every new car at no charge.

No, you don't need engine running. But you need to switch the Navi to ON position.

Hi MBZ. Only few of the album arts show up when i when playing music in the car (mercedes c300 2018 with no android auto). Is there anything i can do to ensure that at least most of album art shows. My car does not have android auto but can connect to the internet.
What is the source of the music?

Hi MBZ Master, sometimes my MERC GLB's car alarm goes off when I open the door and will go off again and then later on again while I am driving. Do you know how to stop the car alarm from doing this? Thank you!
Most likely it's not original MB alarm, but maybe someone installed some kind of aftermarket system, which you probably should disconnect from your car.
@@MBZMaster it is original MB alarm and nothing was done to it prior to being sold to me. My mechanic did a 'reboot' but did not solve the problem...

@@TantrumFB On your car you need to go to Settings and there are 2 choices for map direction: Always North... or Heading With the car. You need to select - heading with the car.

@@danner23gmail You probably have the wrong map software in your car. You can't update it over-the-air on that model, but you can update it manually in any of your local MB dealerships.

The newer models, equipped with MBUX can be updated over the air. But any previous models have to be updated manually. It's not free, but shouldn't be very expensive.

Hi, I have a Mercedes Benz E400 coupe 2018. Using car play all the time. Waze gives me the wrong speed when I am traveling. Do you know of a fix Please? Mercedes will not help and car still under Warranty.
Mercedes will not help, because iPhone is not a Mercedes product. The issue is with your phone... not the car, so you need to show your phone to an Apple rep to check it out.
@@MBZMaster I have tested my phone on 8 different car models including other mercedes cars. It works flawlessly with CarPlay on other models I tested. I can demonstrate that to anyone. Called waze and they instructed me to collect debug information and send to them. I know for a fact it it the "GPS system" in the mercedes that is the issue. This exact problem happens to my friend's car with the Same model and year!. Carplay uses the GPS in the car when you plug the phone. Without CarPlay waze works Great and is very accurate!... thanks for your reply. I watch a lot of your videos. They are very informative and good.
QUESTION: Mr. MBZ Master, I purchased a new Mercedes almost exactly one year ago, just as the Pandemic was draping it's deadly cloak across our land. Lucky for me I usually shop nationally and ship, so the process was not all that different. I'm a very detailed shopper, keep ridiculously detailed notes and do everything in my power to be sure I'm documenting EXACTLY what the dealers are telling me and selling me.
I purchased a 2020 GLC 43 AMG, and I was specific that I wanted the "12.3 Digital Instrument Cluster" because all of the reviews I read said "don't get the 2019 model... pay a little extra for the 2020 because you'll REALLY WANT THE NEW NAVIGATION THAT COMES WITHE THE MBUX 12.3 PACKAGE."
Well guess what? Despite all my efforts, the car came with NO navigation. None. And when I politely complained about it, the dealer TOTALLY clammed-up. They stopped taking my phone calls. It was unbelievable.
So the main question is... can the Virtually Reality Navigation, or ANY navigation, be added to this vehicle after market. I have been told "no", but that just seems hard to believe.
Second question... has anyone else had this problem? It is INCONCIEVABLE to me that Mercedes would not include at least some sort of basic Nav system. But there is No Nav There, Nothing.
And before everyone goes there.... yes, I've got my iPhone all set up. It works fine for what it is and I would use that plenty even if I had the other. I just really wanted to try to the VR Nav! (partly why I bought the car)

That's one downside of buying a car without a physical test drive. A lot of things could be overlooked, or over-assumed. My cla250 came with an empty navigation card. It costs $550 to activate it. Sorry, no way. I'll stick with Google maps.

No navigation in mercedes c200 cdi avant-garde 2013 when I press navi button. How do I get it back? Does it mean upgrade or how please advise.
There is a way to get it, but I wouldn't advise. It's old and obsolete technology. I would recommend to replace the head unit with something newer aftermarket system, like Alpine, Pioneer, Kenwood or something similar. This way you can get also Apple Car-play, Android Auto, Voice Control, cameras etc...

Is Goggle Maps better than navigation?
I like Google Maps on Android Auto, however I don't like to deal with a USB cable all the time. So most of the time I just use the original Navigation system, which is pretty good and very easy to use. It's more intuitive while you drive, as you can see from this video.

Any MB dealership can perform an update, there are a lot of changes over the last 7 years. Also, I suggest to perform a software update at the same time.
