    During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
    FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHANNEL SEE BELOW: In this channel you will find in depth educational videos of automobiles from all over the world, presented in a more detailed fashion than ever before. This gives the viewer the chance to view the most detailed 1st person look you can get without seeing it in person. Every video is consistent in the way I present so viewers know what to expect. I treat every vehicle with the same respect regardless of the year and pricepoint. I film all types of vehicles from the past, present, and future while broadening the knowledge of the automotive enthusiast. You will see everything from vintage, brand new, exotic, mainstream, old, etc. I am very proud of this channel and have built it up from amateur videos years ago to what you see today. I wanted to share my love for the automotive world with the rest of the world. Be sure to explore the massive video variety, have fun and enjoy The Driver's Seat of RUclips!

    This is an old video but I thought I would comment anyway since these cars are still on the road. I bought mine new and it’s been a great car. It’s not my daily driver and today it’s just at 59k on the clock but it’s been a fun ride since day 1.
    I’ve had 1 issue and I just repaired it myself and that is a common issue on a lot of imports and it’s the P0D6A engine code. I did have to lift the engine, drop the subframe and steering rack to fix it but it was 150 in parts and it’s the harness that goes into the block behind the harmonic balancer (bottom engine pully) and the diverter valve that controls oil pressure to the top of the engine.
    If you are a mechanic then it’s an easy fix and can be done in 4 hours with a lift and if you are a home mechanic using jacks and jackstands it will take 6 to 8 hours depending on your ability.
    You will need to unbolt the bottom of the engine mounts and check all the hoses and lines on the engine to ensure you don’t destroy anything in the process.
    I was able to lift the engine with a cherry picker (engine hoist) about 4” over its bolted position and I dropped the rack down enough to get the oil pan down. Removing the dipstick will allow you to pull the pan completely but I opted not to. I just removed the original gasket material (silicon) and used Victor Reniz to reseal the pans.
    I have zero leaks and the repair went well. A little tougher getting the diverter out since I didn’t pull the pan completely.
    (Yes pans, there is a lower metal cover on the aluminum pan that has to be removed to access one of the pan bolts above the oil fill level sensor)
    Good luck with your E300 and it’s a great car.
    If you have repair questions feel free to reply to this message and I’ll see if I can answer it for you.
    Cheers!

    Does the 19 inch alloy wheel on a Mercedes, whether on the AMG or the E200 model, negatively affect comfort? I know that it's excellent in terms of traction and cornering, but what about comfort?

    A 4 cylinder in an E-class? Disappointed with the engine, Mercedes could of at least put a V6 in, 4 cylinders are for Hondas and Toyotas.

    • @devn3813
      @devn3813 8 лет назад

      It should be like an NA 3.6 v6. The higher up E classes hopefully have a v8 like the old one.

    • @hmc2s
      @hmc2s 7 лет назад +1

      +Alex A very correct sir. Mercedes Benz E300 lets give you less so you can pay more. When was the last time a 4 cylinder was even in an E class? At least give us a V6 with 300HP if your going to charge that kind of coin. No thanks Mercedes.

    • @hmc2s
      @hmc2s 7 лет назад +1

      Not in the USA. Mercedes has ONLY offered the E class with V6, V8, and a diesel V6 for the past 14 years. Gas in the USA is much cheaper than the rest of the world.

    • @hmc2s
      @hmc2s 7 лет назад +1

      Not sure how well this E300 will sell in USA. Mercedes is charging more for the car and giving less as in 4 cylinder. Not impressed.

    • @hmc2s
      @hmc2s 7 лет назад

      It just shows you really don't know anything about the US market. Our last E class had over 300HP from a 3.5 liter V6. Mercedes did NOT offer a 4 cylinder in the USA for the past 3 generations E class. It was either a V6 or a V8 that's it. The new E300 cost more and has less HP than the old E350 with V6. That is fact.
