Yes. Beyond what you see with your eyes, what you hear is also age defying. I've been around a lot of older folks in my life and none of them...none....have been this sharp mentally and quick witted. I really wish my relatives had been able to capture even a fraction of that youthful vigor into their advanced years.

I used to work for a plastic surgeon and trust me, there are many *many* women out there who get a boatload of surgeries and still don’t look all that good (or young). You’ve gotta have the good genes to begin with.

She's lucky with her genes of course (sister Jackie was beautiful too), Joan always had that pretty, heart shaped face which has aged well (a few subtle nips & tucks done judiciously helped maintain it), and she's always looked after what God gave her. She brought out some fab beauty books over the years, all of which I bought and studied religiously! She's a big believer in healthy eating and regular, gentle exercise, and she doesn't overdo the booze or ciggies. I recall her being almost evangelical about avocados and how good they are for your skin, due to the good oil they contain. She tries to eat half an avocado every day. I think she's very sensible - for example, she decided after she left 'Dynasty' and started getting older, it would be more flattering to have a little more weight on her. So she's approx 7lbs heavier now than in her 50s, but she's careful not to gain more than that. I think she's right - it can be very aging to be skinny when you're over 60!

Her figure and deportment at her age certainly bears that out. So true about avo - it really is a superfood. I need to eat more of it! Carrying a little extra weight as one gets older is also great advice. I'm so glad she found Percy when she did because I think he has greatly contributed to her happiness. Regret transitioning like the total of 14 people since 1972 in Holland, all but two of whom said it was either because of anti trans attitudes and discrimination or because their surgery was botched ? (The other 2 didn't give a reason.)I don't have actual numbers for other countries but surveys all show the same pattern of dominant reasons for regret. Trans activism has become so extreme, its misogynist, homophobic and anti-child safeguarding policies MUST be publicly called out by more people like Joan Collins, who have a platform to do so. Last week Ricky Gervais' new stand up act exposed the madness of the trans position 'trans women are women' - and he was predictably condemned as 'transphobic' by idiots on the left! Which is totally simplified by anti-trans pressure groups. Biology, like any science, is continuously evolving as new discoveries occur and more detailed examinations are possible. In the sixties, genes and chromosomes, later, hormones, genetic markers, then the ability to examine body and brain developent in the womb and realise it is a process not set in stone by two chromosomes at conception, but leads to a spectrum, rather than a binary distinction.

I'm American and agree with both that no civilian needs AK15 rifle for protection. Special permits for those rifles should be in place, social media reporting on threats, and legislation against rifles r a start.

When did she become respectable? She had an affair with George Englund whose wife Cloris Leachman was pregnant at the time. Ms. Leachman explained in her book that Collins called her late one night telling her George had just left. Days later Cloris had a miscarriage. Collins is not a nice person and is a mediocre actress. I can't think of any memorable roles she's had. I only remember her because she boasted of her affairs.

@@ksc743 She is extraordinary for almost 90! She's lucky with her genes of course (sister Jackie was beautiful too), Joan always had that pretty, heart shaped face which has aged well (a few subtle nips & tucks done judiciously helped maintain it), and she's always looked after what God gave her.
She brought out some fab beauty books over the years, all of which I bought and studied religiously! She's a big believer in healthy eating and regular, gentle exercise, and she doesn't overdo the booze or ciggies.
I recall her being almost evangelical about avocados and how good they are for your skin, due to the good oil they contain. She tries to eat half an avocado every day. I think she's very sensible - for example, she decided after she left 'Dynasty' and started getting older, it would be more flattering to have a little more weight on her. So she's approx 7lbs heavier now than in her 50s, but she's careful not to gain more than that.
I think she's right - it can be very aging to be skinny when you're over 60!

I think all the people who transitioned when underage and regret it, should sue their parents.... Only when parents see they are responsible for their kids future, will they start thinking of the kid instead of themselves..
Regret transitioning like the total of 14 people since 1972 in Holland, all but two of whom said it was either because of anti trans attitudes and discrimination or because their surgery was botched ? (The other 2 didn't give a reason.)I don't have actual numbers for other countries but surveys all show the same pattern of dominant reasons for regret.

Brings back warm feelings of nostalgia, and memories of being a young girl and remembering her fabulous Dynasty fashion (we had only a few channels back then, and I was too young to to experience fashion magazines, but my mother [mainly] enjoyed Dynasty and I loved her fashion!) and here I am, in my 40s and she looks almost EXACTLY as I remember her! Going to see if I can get her old 1950s B movies (they say, I’ll be the judge) I didn’t even know she made her name in Britain then…

I have never before seen Joan Collins refuse to share her honest opinion like that! She's generally very forthright in sharing her political views. But there's far more evidence trans activism actively harms gay people. If Dame Joan is really a gay rights supporter, she will call out the terrible homophobia of modern trans politics, as JK Rowling has.
Today we are told we must accept the mantra 'trans women are women' without any challenge (the mantra is 'Acceptance Without Question'). In 2022, the vast majority of male-born, self-proclaimed 'trans women' are fully male bodied, with functioning male genitals and no wish to lose them with surgery/hormone treatment. These men are happy in their skin, so clearly do not have the gender dysphoria which was once attributed to anyone who came out as trans (the often quoted 'born in the wrong body' diagnosis).
In the UK it's estimated 90% of male-born, self identified 'trans women' are happily male bodied (and most of them are heterosexual, ie sexually attracted to women). Which begs the question - are they actually transgender, or simply transvestites?
This demographic among the majority of today's 'trans women' has resulted in a ridiculous situation whereby many of these be-penised biological males - who are only distinguishable from non trans-identified males by the way they identify/dress - are claiming to be 'lesbians' and worse, are demanding that actual Lesbians date them!
Lesbians are women attracted to other women - to put it bluntly they don't do cock and nor should anyone expect them to! But there are increasing numbers of trans women joining dating apps for lesbians, and in some cases pressurising women to accept them (and their male bodies) as sexual partners, branding them 'transphobic' if they decline! This is blatant homophobia and misogyny.
There's also evidence children who would grow up to be gay are being encouraged to believe they are instead trans, by homophobic parents. It's known as 'transing away the gay', done by parents who would rather have a trans son or daughter, than one who is gay or lesbian. Some kids are being sent down an irreversible pathway through surgery or hormone treatment - there's every reason to fear a detransitioner ticking time bomb, in which 10-20 years from now many supposedly 'trans' people will say they were misdiagnosed, and were only ever gay. But thanks to fashionable trans politics, they were castrated, had hysterectomies that brought on early menopause, and other life-changing surgeries like double mastectomies.
The medical world does not yet know the potential long term harm that could be done by putting children on powerful 'puberty blocker' drugs, which halt sexual maturity. It's known those drugs also halt brain development, so again that's potentially another scandal brewing.
Trans activism has become so extreme, its misogynist, homophobic and anti-child safeguarding policies MUST be publicly called out by more people like Joan Collins, who have a platform to do so. Last week Ricky Gervais' new stand up act exposed the madness of the trans position 'trans women are women' - and he was predictably condemned as 'transphobic' by idiots on the left! In reality Gervais was merely stating the trans position, which is now so utterly ludicrous as to be a comedy routine in itself!
It's an excellent sign that the tide is finally turning against this toxic ideology, that more people like Gervais are finally speaking out, and exposing the king's new clothes! In a sense Joan can be excused at 89 years old - because as we have seen all too often, misogynist trans cult are vicious in targeting anyone who makes even the mildest criticism of their hard line views.

I Have Always Loved This Wonderful Lady, Dame Joan Collins. A Real Hollywood Star, in the Hollywood Style of Yesteryear, who never needed a title, which however was undoubtedly well deserved. She is a lady full of grace, style, poise, class, elegance and has a genuine love for people (and animals too). She unapologetically speaks her mind, and speaks the truth , with such common sense. Such a lovely interview, and I could watch her for hours.
