I met Dame Joan at an autograph even in Los Angeles in 2016. I told her I was considering suicide in 1997 but Dynasty was in reruns and I wanted to stay alive to see her. She swatted my hand with her gloved one and said, "Stop you're going to make me cry!" Then we had our picture made. That picture has a place of honor in my home and always will.

Dynasty literally changed my life. I was born and raised in a town where there was no class, culture or desire to be anything more than what they were. I remember seeing the opening credits to the show for the first time. Mansions, limos, diamonds etc. I said to myself "do people really live like that? Are houses really that big?" The show taught me that there was more to life and encouraged me to go after it. I left home and everyone I knew. I never did get the carrington house but I did get a home, a wife, a career and a positive mentality from watching the show that I know staying in my hometown would never have provided. It sounds cliche but the show literally changed my life for the better.
Bravo,, yes it's Your life. Sometimes it's the best thing to do when you can see the light😀 I'm sure you had to take a lot of flack from the family....
You were inspired by the show. But you were brave and persistent to leave your hometown and change your life for better. And now you can reap what you've sown. Bravo, my friend.

Maybe that's a good thing. Why should acting and playing a character be about what kind of star they are away from the job, and how much plastic surgery the people have? Actors aren't that important. They pretend to play more useful people.
I love this lady! Her and Diane Carroll were so elegant before I even knew the meaning of the word. I would always think of my Nana when I heard them speak, or watched them interact with people.

I was invited to a friends wedding (she’s on TV in the UK) a few years back. Unfortunately I couldn’t make it. Afterwards she told me that Joan and her hubby Percy were sat at my table too. I almost cried as I simply adore her.

Joan Collins is my favorite movie star of all time. In this interview she's truly herself, a vulnerable, honest and gracious timeless beauty. Larry could have done better, I wanted to hear more about what she went through with her sister passing.
Great performer she is! The way she played, back in the day, as Alexis was absolutely class! I never knew she was into art too, would love to see some of her drawings.
What an appalling interviewer. Does he even listen to the answers from his questions? For Joan to say something as touching as 'I still dream about her', and for him to respond by saying 'did you think Dynasty would be a success?' is just crass and insensitive.
