My daughter is 15 years old and whenever the little 11 year boy we live near. Sees her with more than one bag. He runs over to help her with the bags and carries them to the front door for. He is so polite and has lovely manners.
I think women who don’t get that attention resent other women who do. So ultimately, they start to build unnecessary campaigns against it.

from a mans perspective, in the age of equality there is no "ladies first". i dont recall a time when its ever even been depicted that a woman puts her coat in the puddle for the man to walk through, a woman pulls out a mans chair for him to sit, a woman holds a door open as an act of chivalry for a man........etc etc.......i dont mind treating others as they treat me, but after just a few seconds of this video i get the impression that whilst this woman calls the above examples "good manners", i do not get the impression that her manners would be "good" enough to return the favour, if they were id expect her to mention it and because she didnt i can only assume that her manners are not up to the same standard that she expects from others, specifically men. its all well and good "teaching your two teenage daughters" to have manners, but its not depicted as manners when a man holds a door, puts his coat down, pulls chair out for woman etc.........thats depicted as chivalry. i also note how, while she claims to be teaching her daughters to have good manners, she makes no mention of whether or not those taught "good manners" include pulling a chair out for someone (specifically a man) to sit down
and thats why it reeks of hypocrisy, and thats equality for you - they want to keep the bits they like but disgard the bits they dont and still call it equality, ie, they want to be MORE equal than men
of course this is not true of all woman and in fact only true of a few, but these few seem to somehow have the platform available to spew their toxic views, just like the woman in this video who seems to be making up as she goes along and then tripping over her own hypocrisy

@@melinmove It's not a matter about patronising or courtesy, it is a matter of respect - women respecting men and men respecting women. I recently opened the doors for two women (on different occasions) and received two different responses. The first smiled and said thank you. The second looked at me quite coldly and said, 'I can open the door myself!' I felt like closing the door immediately and saying go ahead, however courtesy prevailed and I did and said nothing untoward.

@@ianraper4304 Both can be and are true, men can be patronising, i was with a guy for years who treated me as if i was a little girl. If you asked him why he did it he would say he was just trying to protect me, but since i got with him so young it actually stunted my growth as a person and i never learnt things for myself.
Lack of respect can also exist, it's not one or the other, both patronising behaviour and lack of respect between men and women can also be true. I personally don't have an issue with men or women opening the door for me, and i even open the door for men as well, because i don't believe men should only do this and women should only do that mentality.

People should be chivalrous to EACH OTHER!! I hold doors open for my best girl, elderly people, my boyfriend, unknown men and women. Because it is just rude to slap a door behind you into someone else's face.
When it comes to automatically assuming that the man that you have a meal with, pays for it, is another thing. If I earn a better wages then the guy I go out with and he's a good friend of mine, why should HE pay??
In romantic situations I always discuss and not assume. Do you want to split the bill?
When I notice a guy is really uncomfortable with that and he insists on paying: that's a totally different story.
But you have to go back in time a little further. Where do you think that custom came from? Why did men start paying for women they took out and what was their ultimate goal?
      Right. THINK!

Manners maketh man is how I was raised. What this woman proposes is for men to completely change several millennia of traditions because what - two or three women in her office don't appreciate chivalry? She defeated her own argument several times over with words alone, yet she cannot see it and stays on this half-baked point. Sad, really.

I watched it again. And I keep saying: they mix up being polite with being chivalrous. They bring their children in the discussion and how they should be brought up....got nothing to do with the subject!! And Pierce refuses to answer the question asked THREE times: would you say the same if the group of visagists were men?"Thank you, lovely gentleman??" I don't think so. He ducks that question though.

The problem with the world is people who take offence on other peoples behalf. If women want equality and they take offence to something, maybe they should start to empower themselves and say something rather than dictate how every woman and man behave.

  • @mike196212
    @mike196212 10 месяцев назад +2

Is this REALLY an issue? Call me old fashioned on this one,but I pretty much ALWAYS hold a door open for...both sexes. I have said(not often)''ladies first'' and have gotten a big smile or a thank you or a laugh. I got a ''ladies first'' from a woman I helped and we both laughed and I said ''always.'' I have a much bigger problem with bike riders on our sidewalks. It's against the law here. Manners NEVER go out of style. Hold the doors open for EVERYONE. Say ''excuse me'' when you walk in front of someone. This basic courtesy has all but vanished around here.

Fine, since you you dont want to be offended by treating you well, pay the whole bill in the reastaurant and come pick me up with your own car. I want also for proposal one big diamond ring.

But,AT ANT AGE, dont hold door open for ur GF today.
Then see if she dont have the WTF ur issue look.
😅 Nope never ever in history of ppl.
Most women ive met like to feel feminine like their men to take/have control. Respectfully ofcourse.
Example, women ( my experiences). Every women ive been slept w, loved to be choked a liile. Alot of women want a guy to lay it down. Take control and put her to sleep shaking, sweaty an walking a little bow legged for day or to.

come on! women and men are different, and it's about time we stopped been afraid to accept and celebrate our differences, instead of confusing our perception of it
