Hey there! Really awesome video and learned a lot about sculpting and creating characters through it specifically. I had a question though! One thing that seems useful that I couldn't figure out on my own was how you merged the fur with the neck and were able to sculpt them together. I merged mine with control+j but I dont get what you did past that, did you boolean it? At 8:57, I see you draw some kind of box around it and then adjust the power or sensitivity of something and they seemed to suddenly be merged together, still learning and just really curious what you did there, I'm working on a proto model for a friendo as a gift and just as a creative outlet. I also saw you say that you keep it smooth by slowlu upping the resolution and i was curious how you were doing that, are you using a subdivision modifier or multiresolution modifier to do so? Sorry for all the questions! >.< just very new to the sculpting side of things love sourcing information from other people with experience. Thank you so much! I love the videos and have been binging through them recently! You do such a great job!
XD it's actually all the same thing, voxel remesh, in sculpt more press shift+r to show a grid and adjust the resolution, then use ctrl+r to remesh, that merges all overlapping loos parts together and gives everything a uniform resolution
@@RoseRedTiger thank you so so much! This was super helpful and I realized why my remesh wasn't working before XD I really appreciate the response! And I hope you have a really great day!
This is amazing!! Rose, sorry may I ask, how you do the painting again? I mean, I see you used the Sculpt mode instead of the Vertex or texture paint, and I heard you told you use this kind of ''Development brush'' but didn't understand quite well how is about and how it works, it's an add on? How can I set it up? It's possible?. Will be great to have a guidance from you on this! Still AMAZING JOB! Beautiful! Thanks for the content .
when I made this sculpt, I used a separate version of blender that had the sculpt modse vertex paint options, but right now you can find them in the 3.0 alpha, you just gotta download it in the experimental section of the blender downloads
