That hit hard. My son and I recently went through losing our home (we were renting and the owners sold it) we've been living in emergency housing (a shitty motel) for almost a year along with other families and a lot of dodgey people. Because the housing crisis is so bad Nome of us can get homes and all motels in our city are full from emergency housing.
This was sad and I dont think I could do that to other people

Eviction is a very very long process, often takes months of no payment and court hearings. Hard to blame these people

So many points of the villain I actually agreed with. Like the couple that remortgaged their home to add a room they lived years without, or the people that cop an attitude and tell them they are trespassing, when they don't own the property, the bank does. Don't get me wrong, it's a shame any family has to be threw on the street, but I helped my cousin when he had rentals, and 80% of the time he evicted, it was from carless irresponsibility. Americans have a mentality just like addicts, they will rationalize reality, believe it, then get hostile and aggressive towards anyone that sets them straight. I was with my cousin when he finally cornered a girl who had avoided him over a month and a half, being three months late. She went on how she was not getting any hours, had two kids to feed, blah blah blah. The kids were eating Raman noodles, and she had a 250.00 Gucci bag, and a tattoo that cost at least 800 to 1000 bucks still swelled and reddish. Another guy tore the whole place apart, and not as bad as in the movie, he smeared feces all over the walls and knocked holes in them, left food and leftovers wherever he ate at, maggots were in, yet he got mad because he was evicted for owing three months. Americans put way too much unneeded crap as priority, and then act like somebody else did something wrong......

No way you just compared having a roof over your head to being addicted to drugs….

@@luar215 Being addicted to drugs is a choice, I know because I am 18 years clean. Unless I am misunderstanding you, sounds like you are saying just because a person has an addiction, they shouldn't be thrown from a roof over their heads. I stand corrected if I'm wrong, but if that's what you are saying, well you are as delusional as the people that he threw out. We are what we are by our mentality, so use it wisely.....

@@luar215 You can keep a roof over your head by making responsible choices. However, here in Maryland at least, rent has went extreme. That I must say is not a young couple trying to get started fault. And I agree, came a time in my life I had to put a roof over my head or sleep the streets. I had no choice....
