In 1972, the Atlas Centaur rocket blasted off from our planet. It launched a probe that would cross our solar system, into the farthest reaches of the universe. The mission was to find intelligent life similar to our's. It carried a tablet with an image of us humans, and how to locate us in the universe. In the present day, a man called Neil Clarke is on his way to his job when suddenly something, sent from far away from Earth, hits him, and his life changes forever…

I swear, why does everyone with infinite wishes not DREAM about the wonders they can do?
This guy could have discovered aliens by wishing to know how he got his powers from and visited them. He could have made his powers uninfluenced (no longer controlled by the Aliens so it can't be taken away by their machine anymore), and then could have actually became a human demigod by wishing himself for a conscience that tells him what's not a good idea to wish for.
Man could have even experimented more. He could have tested other things to solve world issues instead of stupidly picking 3 things and giving up. Hell, he could have even asked to know what to wish for, or to gain intelligence (man didn't even know that taking carbon out of the atmosphere would be a better idea) he could have wished for transferring his power to thought based instead of verbal, and could have given the power to other people so both he and his love and his dog could have it.
I'm so frustrated by the writers that give non imaginative people extraordinary powers. Someone make a story about some smart person with power for once.

Exactly my thoughts while watching this. We need to give these powers to someone who doesn't think in human morals, and knows what to do with them. Something like an INFJ or an INTP.

Simple, then this film wouldn't exist. Your idea could make a good movie, but it wouldn't be this movie which is a comedy that relies on the protagonist getting into trouble. If every fictional story was realistic, some of them would lose their charm.
And that's how we are not able to find a single alien species out there, cause 1 dog out there made it so 🤣

can't believe that this is how AI is being use now. To ask it for a recap and to give a detailed narration of 3/4's of the scene including the climax and ending. then using elevenAI to create it into a voice narrative. finding a few clips from the movie for each scene and using AI to piece them together per each of their respective scenes. if i had that power i could just simply wish for the earth and the solar system to never be destroyed meaning that the sun would never explode AND the aliens wouldint be able to destroy the planet since i wished for it to never be destroyed and also i would wish for everyone that is poor to have 100k dollers so they can atleast get a home or pay rent
wishing for everyone to have 100k dollars would just cause inflation. All you would have to do to solve the worlds problems without causing to many side effects would be to let humanity figure out how to do fusion energy. but even that could lead to over population issues eventually and getting into fixing that would be an immoral discussion really.

This movie opened my eyes to how powerful God is yet has given us humans the choice to live our own lives without interfering unless we give him the permission despite having all power in the universe. This shows how loving and caring God is. It'll be unwise not to have a relationship with such an amazing deity like God. He's a real gentleman. You can know him right at the comfort of your home. Just invite him and he'll not disappoint but you must first believe he's real and cares for you.

So, if the god doesn't interfere, how do you know it is our there? And what is the point of worshiping something that has no wish to interfere no matter what happens? Our lives are not "given" to us, we evolved, which has much more evidence that the presence of some imaginary inert deity.

Everything you need to know about creation has been documented in a book called the Bible which was written over a millennia ago and still relevant today. You can check it out yourself.

Why the almighty God needs multiple humans writing for them during several centuries, constantly changing and editing what has been written before, when this "deity" could just install this knowledge in humans from the start? Yes, this book is so perfectly clear that we have over 10,000 versions of Christianity alone.

The Bible comprises of writings of 66 different authors from different generation. Most of them never knew each other. I wouldn't be able to go into details of the history of the Bible but you could find out yourself before drawing any conclusions. Every scientific discovery has already been written down in the Bible. Before men discovered the earth wasn't flat, it was already documented in the Bible. I'm not a Bible scholar but one thing I know is that if you study the Bible in the right context everything about this world will begin to make sense to you. If you're satisfied with only scientific studies then there's nothing more to discuss. You're blessed and Jesus loves you.
