  • All the information we have on the incedents at Sean Combs' house are part of an ongoing investigation. We should not assume that he is guilty of any crimes at this point. My observations are through hear-say and speculation and should not be considered evidence proving guilt. Under the law Sean Combs, friends, family, and associates are innocent until proven guilty.

It's nothing new, Shirley Temple talked about this on the Larry King show in 1989. Corey Feldman has talked about this, Brooke Shields is another one.

Even though I was just a child, I heard the term "casting couch" applied to Hollywood executives in the 1950's. This has been going on for as long as Hollywood has existed, and even before then. The problem is much more widespread than those notorious faces you have on your screen. They are just the tip of the iceberg.

I agree. I know James has RUclips regs to comply with but by using euphemisms and soft language, it minimizes what happened.

Seriously, I completely understand these RUclipsrs avoiding the words, because otherwise we wouldn't see them at all. But RUclips and the other platforms are complicit in all these abuses and trafficking.

Peter Nygard, the clothing designer is a name you don’t hear anymore. I used to love his clothing line for years until I googled his name.
The stories I read were horrific. He got away with it for years.
Of course, he’s thankfully in prison now, and will more than likely die there.
It’s sad how many women and children have to get hurt before these people are stopped.

If you're into true crime podcasts, 'the dinner party show' podcast did an episode on him (caution it does describe events). I'm stunned that these men can maintain a likeable public persona for so long when they are committing disturbing acts behind closed doors.

The big elephant in the room is WHY do these people want to be with children. They need God, they need therapy and if they don't want to heal from this obvious evil then we need to jail these folks. Children never consent, they don't want or desire a grown man. This is pure evil!! I know rescue groups are important but we need to focus on who we are rescuing them from. If no one wanted to buy children then we wouldn't need to rescue them!!

All the “overbearing” Christian moms of the 90s who banned Nickelodeon were mocked. They deserve an apology.
My local elementary school just hired someone who has documented evidence of grooming a young boy. Hundreds of texts. A meetingb in a hot tub. A diary full of fantasies about students. All proven. It was in the papers but there was no conviction because they couldn’t prove physical contact. Some parents found out and complained, and the school said “This candidate is qualified.”
A LOT of this is about what’s unethical versus illegal and how far things will go to cover it up. I personally think it’s because we moved the Overton window on what was taboo. If you could get a thrill from breaking rules about hand holding, kissing, s before marriage, etc, then you got your thrill. Everything is acceptable now and any pushback is “kink shaming,” so now the thrill seekers need more and more perverse thrills to get off.

It’s NEVER been a “one-off.” Perhaps men see it differently, but at least one in four women has been sexually assaulted. We KNOW how big a deal it is first or second hand as every one of us has a friend who has been physically and sexually assaulted by a man. We’ve been indoctrinated into accepting it as our fate and that there is nothing we can do about it. The MeToo movement was an excellent first step but there are SO MANY men who just don’t care.
For example, the millions of untested rape kits in this country is astronomically disgusting! We don’t have the pull or the money to force them to be tested and the rapists adjudicated.
If you and your male friends want to help us, and have viable ideas in which to do so, please TELL US. We’ve been living these nightmares all our lives.
My first experience was a boy walking up behind me and unclasping my bra in one move. Everyone who noticed laughed, the girls just walked away lest they be next.
The “funny antics” continued on for the next 30 years until I was ultimately victimized by a man I was dating, and years later, a man a friend recommended to clean my carpets.
I learned later that my reactions to these attacks were pretty standard, but never once did I think to defend myself.
Many of us are broken. We need help to fight the incessant attacks by men, and most of our mothers don’t know how to prepare us for what is to come.
Men that don’t rape need to STEP UP!

Sister, I am so sorry for you, and for all of us who have experienced this behavior. When a boy unhooked my bra in the eighth grade, I broke his nose. When I was suspended from school for attacking my assailant ( I started it by throwing the one and only punch), my father threatened to have the boy arrested for sexual assault and the principal for child endangerment. Then he told me in front of everyone that it is my right to protect myself by whatever means necessary and that I should never start a fight one but ALWAYS finish one. And if I couldn't, Daddy would. I revere my father.
Yes, we need to stand up for ourselves and one another. May we always surround one another with peace and protection. May we stand in the gap for one another. May those around us find the strength to come to our aid when we are in need.

As a woman who worked in the real estate industry in the 1980s, I can tell you that SA was prevalent and HR departments did not protect the staff, but made excuses for the perpetrators. I honestly wish that after the first Hollywood scandal that more press would have been dedicated to the stories of women like waitresses or administrative assistants, normal people who had had similar experiences and no one wrote a story about us. I am saying that it would be nice for the media to understand that while this is a horrible situation if this is happening in Hollywood and in the music industry how much worse is it occurring to the women who make less than seventy five thousand dollars a year. I wondered why congress never ever took the time to do that. Then the unthinkable happened a real estate person who I'm sure took advantage of his employees and other women with SA Was elected president. And not that i'm tired of these stories but I would like some recognition to the fact that normal working women have this happened to them on a regular occurrence even now.

Sexual harassment and assault is everywhere. In the 1970’s men felt free to grab women, especially at the work place. I blame wage inequality and parental guidance ( women were always responsible for sex; due to clothes, willingness to date, acting in a accepting and positive manner- which many men interpreted as a sexual come on). The culture of the late 60’s promoted ‘free love’. However it did not mean all women were open to having sex with any man at anytime. Most women wanted to have a loving relationship.😊🙂😁
