That gladdened the heart of this traction enthusiast; thanks for sharing! 🙂 I’ve been away from the scene for a bit so this is the first time I’ve seen 37901 for a while; it looks excellent; kudos to all those involved in its resurrection and main line re-registration 😎
@@trainman86trainstramsandmore Surely if they are fit to run that far they are likely fit to return to service if there was an appetite to. Bad ones would be on the back of a truck.
I wonder if those Mk2s will appear on the West Highland Line, nicely refurbed and painted with a gleaming coat of crimson paint, behind a Black 5 soon?
Unfortunately the Mark twos are not disabled friendly nor are they accessible to others who need to get on the train coach. The mark two will probably be destroyed. Used to scrap the reason why carriages go is because they are not disabled friendly and then slam doors they are not open doors, if you have prams pushchairs wheelchairs, you cannot access the carriages so the carriages will be destroyed
very good
Nice to see old stock being saved for future generations to experience.

Glad you enjoyed it! 👍
I walk down here all the time, great place to spot some interesting rolling stock and locomotives
6:06 that’s quite a shunt!
Great video 👍
10 out of 12 are ex scotrail stock used on the Fife line with class 68s
nice one mate
Great vid
Beatiuful video ,greetings 🚂👍🙋♂️
Good video 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks very much 👍
I See the 57010 & D345 In Crewe Today
MK2F with windows ? Great footage 😊
Fantastic Video - But do you possibly have the Coaching Stock Numbers for the Stored Mk2's on 5Z81 Move Please?
I don’t unfortunately however hopefully someone else can help you with those 👍
@@trainsplanes Okay No Worries - Thank you
I wonder if west coast rail are going to use these as they have central locking for rail tours
I would say yes as their Mk1s are now not compliant. Without those Mk2s WCRs days could be numbered. Good to see them being utilised again.
Brilliant video the 37s look stunning in that light, also how do you find these shunts and rail tours I struggle a lot.
Lots of research is the best advise I can give - Watch movements closely and keep in touch with as many useful sources as possible 👍
@@trainsplanes thanks ill have a go,down west there doesn’t seem to be as many movements of 37s and such as up your way
Amazing stuff not sure when 37706 is going back to carnforth light loco or with ECS
What are they unloading from those wagons in the sidings on the far left ?
That’s spoil that’s been brought up from the HS2 works via Acton 👍
Ohh wow, why are they doing this? more stock for WCR to run!?
I suppose they probably need them, witht their current CDL problem, but I feel like most of that consist are probably for parts recovery
@trainman86trainstramsandmore hmm, that's my think
this tractors pulling a heavy load of coaches plus the whistler & thunder-bird a bit of push & pull is required!
I've counted 12 mk2 coaches being pulled by class 57010 with a class 40145, an excellent view of all the coming and going at Button Wetmore. 👍

Are they all going to be restored? I know West Coast uses MK2 and MK3 coaches for it's fleet.
So does that mean that west coast rail are going to use carriages with door locks like everyone else after years of excuses?
Have these coaches been bought by West coast railway as replacements for the mark 1 coaches

Does west coast railway own this place??
No - It’s owned by Nemesis Rail 👍
@@trainsplanes thanks mate are they their coaches aswell
They were sometimes use. Cl 31 ATHENA. For shunting didn’t see it in your cilp
It's at Didcot railway centre, hasn't been at Burton for well over a year.
