    I’ve had mine over 1 year, put approximately 5000 rounds of everything from CCI mini mags to cheap bulk ammunition. This gun runs! Very few malfunctions. I just cleaned it yesterday & it was filthy...but it still ran reliably. I would highly recommend this pistol to anyone wanting a excellent reliable .22.

    Ordered one from PSA for $249 in midnight bronze. Wasn't sure I'd like to color but it grows on you. It sparkles at the discos. And turns dark when lights are dim. I like it so much I bought another for my little sister who just turned 60. We both have been into guns since the mid-60s. My first rifle wouldn't fit in the mailbox so the mailman hand deliver the box to me. Here you go Mike.
    Looks like the rifle you've been waiting for all week. Now go inside and get warm. And oil up that new Ithaca lever action. I must have told him about it 10 times while waiting.
    Got it the day before Christmas. I still feel like Ralphie every time I pick it up.

  • @cuttheknot4781
    @cuttheknot4781 4 года назад +15

    I am so happy that Taurus has been getting great reviews on their latest offerings. I always felt that Taurus took more hate than it deserved as a company as a whole. yes, there were issues with specific firearms but over all the company has been pretty solid over their many years. What company has a 100% track record. Unfortunately, the less than trendy companies are always treated like a red headed step child in comparison to the "elite" manufacturers...low hanging fruit is for the short minded.

    • @jpcmt1721
      @jpcmt1721 4 года назад +1

      No, Taurus truly deserves the hate. There's very few gun manufacturers who suck this bad, make this much crap, listen as little as possible to customers, and do the least amount of quality control. There's a reason they're picked on and the earned it. I've had my ONE Taurus and it sucked the big one...right out of the box, not feeding FMJ or JHPs...and yes, as often reported, their customer service is pathetic...they said, "Break it in" ...then they said "try new mags" ...then try different ammo...etc. etc....just passing the buck. It's a company of marketing prowess, not of shooters.

Crap!! I think the 10-22 is so popular because it's accurate enough, and it runs whatever ammo you can find:) All 22's should function like the 10-22 IMHO.

I got a tippman after and I've never had the issues my sr22 rifle had. I haven't replaced the pistol and that's why I'm looking at the tx22. I also have my great grandmother's old marlin 50 22lr and it's more accurate then any stock 10/22 I've shot it next to. I've also had a 17cal ruger rifle that was chambered wrong from the factory. They fixed it but I swear the only ruger I've gotten that hasn't given me a issue is my dads old 357. I seem to be the guy that always gets the bad ones.

    From what I understand this pistol was originally made in 9mm and currently in use overseas since it can't be imported here. That is why it is very.... combat oriented for being a .22. I love mine, I got a stainless steel guide rod with a bushing on the front to protect the aluminum from wear that is caused by the steel spring rubbing on it. I also picked up some tandemkross extensions so I can get 21+1 rounds in it. I've had 0 issues with mine of any sort.

    I am actually going to pick one up because right now all of my fighting 9mm striker fired pistols are on the shelf because I am simply not interested in paying the price for 9mm right now
    I need a good trainer pistol to substitute and this one fits all the criteria I need to simulate as close as possible to my fighting pistols while having available and cheap ammo
    My Ruger Mark 2 and 4 are great trainers too but they just arent the same manual of arms as your traditional SFPF9 (striker fired polymer framed 9mm)
    I also have a M9-22 upper for my Beretta 92 series pistols but those are hammer fired DA/SA guns, not strikers so I need something that mimics striker fired and this one fits the bill, who wouldve guessed it wouldve been Taurus though? These are strange times we live in

    I had similar problems with my Walther P22 until I shot about 450 rounds through it. I used high velocity 22lr from Aguila. I tried various other ammo manufacturers and it didn't make a difference. I guess it took 450 rounds to break it in. The mistake was that I bought two bricks of Aguila (1000 rounds) when I bought the pistol. I had problems with the pistol firing but failing to eject and then trying to feed another round. The result was a stuck empty shell in the chamber. At first it was every round, then as it began to break in, it happened less and less often. Now, after 450 rounds, it cycles perfectly. I've never experienced that with any other caliber pistol. It must be a 22lr thing.

    “I didn’t know this either”. Are The 16 round mags hard for you to find? Don’t pass up on the 10 round mags if you can buy them. You can go to Tandemkross or one of the other vendors that are selling the +3/+5/+9 extension kits. The body of the 10 round mags is hollow (same as 16 round mags) - the only difference is the side cut out (which you don’t use after taking the plug out of the follower, the internal spring is replaced with the one you buy in the extension kit and the Internal Limiter (a piece of added black tubing, is removed). You can convert a 10 round mag using the tandemKross +5 round kit to now hold 21 rounds. It works. FYI

    They're so much fun and I can just send rapid fire headshots over and over at 10 yds so easy
    I had an issue with the sight elevation adjustment and I never heard from Taurus when I submitted an online ticket for a replacement sight, so I put a drop of super glue on the adjustment screw and it's solid and absolutely dead on so I'm happy I hated the Ruger 2245 this replaced

      They took for ever to respond to my online ticket as well. When they did respond, all they said was "If you still need help, please start another ticket." I did. They never responded to it. 6 months later I called them and spoke to a rep right away, who was very helpful. May want to just give them a call.

    Mine is in limbo waiting to get sent back to the factory. It has slop in the barrel lockup so white my suppressor attached the barrel drags agains the nose of the slide causing failures to go into battery. The excuses I’ve play in the barrel lockup also means that at 25 yards it shoots about a 2’ group.

    Safeties on GUNS are a good thing...I say again, safeties on a Gun are a GOOD thing! Especially since it is not a carry gun and newbies will be using this as an intro gun (I assume). Safeties should be mandatory until a person becomes a SEAL or SOF guy of some kind.
    Safeties are engaged until it is time to work. 99.5% of all pistol owners will never need a split second firing option and if they feel they need it, TAKE THE SAFETY OFF ONCE HOLSTERED. Around the homestead safety on.

      jim yeats I disagree. He used it a few times because of the sponsor of the video (acre gold). I’ll bet if you sponsored a video, you could suggest a script as part of the Ad as well. But I’ll bet you’re more full of pointless criticism than you are money.

    I absolutely love my Taurus tx 22 and shoots everything other than HV bit I did realise a few weeks ago and I did get one with a bad barrel but they are sending me a new one when it gets back in stock, and is dead accurate with it though but after the 1000 round area, I have to clean it every 100 rounds now

    I like this channel. I subscribed to all notifications. But I must confess, my strange brain makes me think at first glance that the alerts are from Munsingwear. Now that I’ve gone public, maybe my warped mind will behave a little better, like after describing a recurring dream that then stops.

    I guess my question has always been that if you get a lemon, and most of us who buy lots of weapons do, and you send it back, wait a few months, and then get a gun back that actually runs then why don't they just build em right to begin with. Don't they have quality control folks? Oops, there I go using logic again. They build em, pack em, ship em. Guess it's called "acceptable loses". Easier and cheaper to fix the bad ones than do it right the first time. Good, informative video as per usual. Hey, with a cap, shades and talk 5 times faster you could fill in for "MAC" Tim. L8r.

    1st of all thank you 4 your service to the U.S. This is an off topic question, but is 1000 lumens to much for an AR indoors and is there a light that has different intensity settings e.g. low 250 medium 500 high 1000 or something like that. I was looking at the surefire m300c or the 600u. Thanks in advance.
