Trevor there put a very good question to Sikhala about all political leaders owning up to their mistakes. Sikhala's answer is the ROOTS OF ALL PROBLEMS in Zim politics. Zim politicians are afraid to admit their mistakes. Not only that they think that their positions are a lifetime right! Is that not zanupoof mentality. The opposition must 1st impose term limits for the party leader, MPs, Councillors, Mayors, etc from their own party. That's how change comes. The other major endeavour would be to educate the electorate at grassroots level so they learn to demand accountability and tangible performance from their leaders at all levels. Only after such changes will change start happening in Zim.

Seconded I will definitely be a passionate member of a National Democratic Task Force, Long story short what Job is saying is simply let us unite as Zimbabweans, work towards a common goal that way winning is guaranteed no 2 ways about that .....what have been killing us along is these divisions, power hungry leaders who believes in individualism more than collective efforts, I like the idea of servant leaders that’s on point

Watching this discussion, it's as if we are still in the pre-independance erra. Very true, let the people decide collectively, without politicians interfering. Zvinorwadza 😢! Partisan politics has failed us. We should now run our country as a cooperation, where if the CEO messes up, we fire him.

At any given time in every country there is always one person loved by people , and that person needs supportive people around him, Mugabe, Nkomo, Tsvangirai and now Chamisa , these have natural connections with people . Thanks Job for your intelligence to refuse to be cornered to speak against Mr Chamisa. Apparently, mukoma Trevor appear to have his own personal vendetta with Mr Chamisa. He mentioned that he was aligned to mukoma Simba and Nkosana and this is for obvious reason. Inspite of this Mukoma Trevor is a very good interviewer. I like his probing, paraphrasing and management of emotions.

    • @rascocky6366

Your mentality is the real reason why we have been under oppression for 44years. Why mustn't Chamisa be criticised? Has he not made huge mistakes which cost us our freedom? Why must a leader be worshipped? Sikhala's solution of going back to the people to ask solves nothing because the Zim electorate is gullible, politically illiterate and immature. The majority have zanupoof mentality - support, support and support a leader!! Why? What has that leader done to bring about change? Why does that leader spend most of his energy fighting other opposition leaders instead of bringing about unity? Why is it when Sikhala, or Ncube, or Biti or Khupe, etc contest for the position of party leader they are labelled POWER HUNGRY SELLOUTS yet when it's Chamisa doing the same it's ok???

People follow a visionary. Do people chose a visionary?
There is issue has always been people who have branded themselves as visionaries yet they are opportunity seekers.
The masses follow a visionary not become the visionaries of a vision.

The root problem of Zimbabwe politics is the army. ZANU is an extension of ZNA. We are being ruled by solders masquerading as civilians. there is nothing the opposition can do to succeed. Some of us we haven't forgotten what the late General Zvinavashe said about the opposition in 2003. The only time we saw a change in Zim 's top office was when the army decided that there should be a change. The same person who in 2008 was rejected by the people the army said he is not going anywhere even though he wanted to step down.

Chamisa has some flaws as well so it's healthy to have people who criticize his idealogy as well. Chamisa is same version of Mugabe. Mugabe started well but ended badly and people see such traits in Chamisa

We should follow the way they do it in US. A year before the election people contest in primaries to the candidate. The party can have party president . Party president does not mean you are the presidential candidate. There has to be proper primaries for that

We need a broad based political setup. We cannot have two parties representing 17 plus million people, Shonas and Ndebele think the country belongs to them yet we have 10 or more other tribes that exist in this country. We have to understand that Zimbabwe is for all Zimbabweans, people from Binga need to be heard and the best person to represent them is someone who understands their challenges, someone who loves the culture and is willing to work hard to improve the lives of the people there. Zimbabwe is a very rich country for us to be suffering like this. Zanupf rule has to be neutralized for the nation to advance. Above all we need leaders that put Zimbabwe abv party and person interests

When the few enjoy fresh bread we are searching for crumbs and can’t find them, I am sure when the sellout guerrillas depart a chance for the nation will come to enjoy the benefits of the struggle. I dream for a free Zimbabwe.

I don't think what Job is trying to do is innovative in any way speaking in terms of Zimbabwe's political history. Several community consultative exercises have been done as far as i can remember, there is nothing new. The question is what have we benefited from them as a people. It is pretty obvious that despite Job's effort to pretend as not eying the number 1 position, he is actually doing so. Its an old rhetoric to portray one self's political ambition as a revolution of some sort yet the end goal is never different from what we have already seen in the corridors of treachery and selfishness. If Job is truly a man with new ideas and new determination for the struggle why can't he complement an already existing formation? Food for thought.

Wiwa is trying to reinvent the wheel. The people know what they want. The consultations he proposed were done at the formation of the MDC and the theme was 'Chinja Maitiro'.
The current issue is how we translate it into power. Job can not tell us he does not want power. He does.
Chamisa is our leader and we will support him against these idealists.
There is no political party without a leader. No leader is perfect.
During the liberation struggle, people cooperated with a guns on their heads. ZANU continued this strategy . The rural folk have never had peace.
They get beaten, and they are coerced by chiefs and sabhukus who are not willing partners. They are murdered and the police are powerless
    to intervene.
We cannot play around the word democracy. It thrives on the rule of law. The Tshabangu debacle is there for us to see. Politics cannot be run as a registered company. The leader is always strategising to meet the changing circumstances.
In conclusion, Job is finished as a politician. He is suffering from ammesia.

dear Brother, you need to rest; all these interviews will do no good for your physical and mental health
what ever agenda you have at the moment; shelve for now; it will still work after a year or two, of quite reflections; therapy, counselling, reconnecting with wife and family; you will have more respect that way
we are alright Sir, seeing we are still here after you were away two years ; we do not need you to deliver us; we need you to rest and recuperate for now. thank you
