From listening to Mr Gono straight to school
I take back my initial comment solely after listening to the whole interview, my God anger is a disease “My Apologies Mr Gono you absolutely inspired me with the story of your life, and I respect that you are a God fearing individual. Your testimonies touched me immensely. Your shortfalls as the former governor are Gods business not mine. Thanks Mr Trevor for this eye opening interview. Really changed my life.
I have had a change of opinion from when I initially posted: "I am with you. Great work by Trevor with these interviews. Respect"
True 'repentance' if I should call it that leads to restitution, restoration. There needs to be a commission that looks into all (if any) ill-gotten wealth and this mob needs to pay it back in USD. Many gains were made under his watch, many people's FCA illegally vanished i.e. robbed. There is a wider saga
iam with you.GG is a great man
just coz someone is eloquent doesnt make him a saint. Its just that Zimbabweans we quickly forget. Even now people think Mugabe was a hero, g40 and shockingly heard some say Grace was going to be better. hameno kwatikuenda ,kana kutomboriko kwatikuenda with this mindset we have
yeah. what do u expect from people who glorify a man who presided over the highest inflation of the millennium . you have the leaders that u deserve. makapusa!
Africa Alive hey man/woman if you are going to make such hasten conclusions beyond reasoning pls find it in yourself to be less offensive. Here was I thinking we are having a reciprocal debate, but it turns out you are hell bent in antagonizing my opinions to be at par with yours which divorces the purpose of this engagement. Peace be unto u man/woman.
Once dipped into Zanu PF all this wisdom vanishes. Once dipped out of Zanu PF the wisdom kicks back.
Im sure if your levels of comprehension are average you are able to understand what he is saying. Not sure if you have even gone through the entire video.
@@sydneym9970 for a fact i went through the whole video and drew that conclusion. These guys become illuminated when they are out of the party but they are within they cant even speak out. To support my claim, the other case study people is Jonathan Moyo and Saviour Kasukuwere.
Foolishness is when you try to change is system especially of zanu pf singlehandedly
Law of attraction taught by an old timer . Thank you for taking us through your journey of life ,indeed what the mind concieves it shall be achieved ,i feel inspired
Feels like the reincarnation of Robert Mugabe, even the gestures shout RG protégé.
I also noticed it hey
Could be they spent long hours together in discussion, none of which helped Zim 🤔
He habours ambitions of leadership
Indeed
Absolutely
Very interesting interview. An eye opener indeed. As a people we tend to run with hear says until we either do our own research or hear stories from the horses' mouth. I lost a lot of money during Gono's term. And was very bitter. But I always suspected that he had one of the most toughest jobs. Listening to his story now makes me realize that the President's Act is more powerful than being a governor. When you have a boss like Bob, you will do as told. Period!!!
Well said 👏. I like your comment million times🥰
I concur
You dimwits need to get off the internet why did Bob not tell his government not to loot??
His memory is one of his strengths. The ability to backup every statement he makes. Wonderful!
Hopefully he remembers how many livelihoods he destroyed all pensioners wiped off from hard working decent citizens. Y’all need to stop celebrating this mediocre performance, this demonstrates we have people in government we deserve incoherent dimwits.
Empty statements backed by incompetent actions we have a low bar for leaders in Zimbabwe. We are morally corrupt and incompetent as hell
if you listen with an ear willing to learn you will definitely learn a thing or 2.
So true
hope governors around the world learn how to beat inflation daily by printing money 🤣🤣
Dr Gono's story is very inspirational. Motivational and thought provoking.
I like the emthusiasm when he talks about his faith in God... l loved that so much
Great conversation and the other side of the man few knew about. The wisdom is amazing
Thanks much Trevor ... i enjoyed this one ... wonderful insights and a lot of things to reflect on!
Listening to Dr GG and reading comments section keeps on provoking my thinking. I don't now much history of Dr GG and his contribution in the fall of the State. I am South African, very interested in zimbabwean affairs. I will have to read and research alot.
Trevor is very good, so calm and very intellectual. He is always well researched
l just have to go through this conversation once again, l may learn something new once again...keep it up Trevor
I liked this interview because it has a mission at the end of it.. like now we are looking foward to something
One lesson l took from this: The Truth Will Always Set You Free!!!
"Hanging garden of Babylon" Mugabe had some serious quotes
We doing great as a nation due to those serious quotes we competing on the world markets. Thanks for pointing picking on that crucial observation.
The discipline to reduce is very helpful, well appreciated
Gono dishing a masterpiece- an inspiration
Good observation he is on point nothing cynical about what he spoke about here. We need him back to beat the current inflation just like did 2008 print money daily
you are a poor man today coz of this man, and you really think he is an inspiration? oh Lord
@@bozichirandu1208 reading some of these comments makes me think Zimbos are psychologically destroyed. What's inspirational about someone who literally robbed people savings/pensions ?? SMH
@@villasquad8712it was the system
@@bosslimpopo8532 yes it was his system that he governed that printing money daily to beat inflation. Nothing positive about it people are economically poor today because of it.
Trevor is a Genuine Person, Thank you for your Contribution to the truth, you are not a sellout like those guys at ZTN
Trevor is very good. All his discussions are very educative
People say a lot of smart things once they are no-longer in those key positions. Truth is it would not, even in the present, be possible to hold politicians accountable as a governor. Only the electorate can do that, through the ballot!
As long as the ballot is not rigged
@@GrillMatic_SmokinBBQ Ya, and when you listen to him towards the end of the 2nd segment, this guy is a Bob protege...Period.
Elections are a scam in Zimbabwe. Mdc is keeping zanu pf in power. Why continue to vote knowing that the system is rigged.
Fact Chitanda ballot , which ballot. That’s a joke
You encouraged me to go to school. I thank you Dr Gono.
Best information Dr Gono thank u MR Trevor
Dr Gono is a practical intellectual, this is a great conversation loaded with facts.
You have made me to like you more GG,thank you so much for this interview.
What a great conversation ,,I luvd it , very informative!
Comment no.2: as a new dad thanks for the tip, so true we as parents of today have to be very careful of the grassroots we lay for our kids. And yes we don't all start at the top you gotta work hard and be true to your goals. Damn clearly ZANU ruins everything it touches, this guy wasn't like this during his governor day, you Sir you're now earning my respect
Very interesting and educative conversation.
I enjoyed the first six minutes. Very important information.
Listening to this 2 years after, still educative
yeah we all learned not to print money daily to beat inflation and the central bank not be used as personal bank account for politicians.
Motivational, Enlightening interview thank you Trevour.
Very Educating conversation. Well done GG
I am really inspired Governor Gono, you have changed my whole perception about you .
I really like this man. May our good God keep him to the end of time. It's not because of his office as Governor but just because of the Man he is.
Excellent work Mr Ncube as always. I definitely agree with the retired central banker that central banks must be independent and the appointment of their principals left to parliament. He has excellent insights on how to navigate our country's woes.
He helped a lot in killing our economy and our future
@@quintonmadaure8707 hi Quinton. I certainly agree that his tenure at the apex bank inspired few admirable accolades. I actually made that comment in the second part of his interview where I questioned the moral argument he postulated for the unprecedented printing of money. He argues that money growth was to save lives but the ultimate consequence of that action and policy was to set the entire country back several decades economically. So in that regard I do agree with you but my commendation for the old guy comes from having listened to what he said in the interview regarding how to get the country back on track. His prognosis on our problems is in fact quite accurate regardless of yours and my feelings for him. Have a look at the interview he and Alex Magaisa had about the Farm Mechanisation program of 2008. You will find my comments there were much less kinder.
Personally am inspired...powerfull testimony whatever happened before zvakatoitika but who is he without sin.
wise words thank you Dr this has motivated me
Long time Gedion where are you hiding....n where are people's money that froze those years.their tears are still flowing hey ...
Love the consistency of this channel. You are an inspiration Treveor Ncube.
I'm happy to share the same path and history with this man
Someone in Cameroon asked me to watch this video 3days ago, I waited till today when i was less busy and calm to listen to this wonderful and inspiring video. I may be going late to work today but I must watch till the end because I want to learn from Zimbabwe’s great men.
Indeed this is quality conversation
Wisdom!! Humility!! God fearing...
There all say that but
Interesting conversation and quite encouraging from DR GG
You are doing great job Trevor..
Gono is just imitating his God Father Mugabe. Fair play to him that he recognises that Zanu will never take Zimbabwe forward
Very interesting. He brings some good points.
What an inspirational conversation, you are so humble... Iam really touched esp wen u said l still consider myself the best tea maker the best Gardener. So many people often dont mention their humble beginnings they dont find pride in it you have inspired a lot of people
So much enlightenment
Please continue with these type of discussions. Vasingazive vanodzidza
Great articulation thanks mr gono!.
Inspirational
Inspiring. A great interview, Jeremiah 29v11 is the correct reference..👏
That moment when Gono said Urikuda kuenda kupi, sounded like RG
I enjoyed this
This guy destroyed ourlives...Millions worked for years and lost everything..I cant believe the comments on here respecting this man
Mee too I'm shocked. Zimbabweans are like babies. This man is a liar. Fake wisdom.
I’m also shocked at how People can be and I don’t think they are Zimbabweans. He says he sleeps about 8 hours stretch but there are people today who can’t sleep because they lost everything because of his policies. Some people even committed suicide. I have no admiration at all for this man, he may be intelligent or may be a good orator but he was employed to be governor of RBZand he should have those to good use , but because of power and greed he contributed to where we are today. He destroyed Zim economy. People of Zim don’t be naive, no wonder we are here we admire the wrong things in people. Being a good speaker does not necessarily mean you do good . Conmen are thus called because they can manipulate people with words
With il discipline shown during the war, the the independence project was destined to fail
Those that admire criminals have no real role models. They just bop along like it’s in fashion.! Wake up it’s out of fashion to like criminals. Especially politicians. Just weak low common denominators.
Bruce Thackwell imagine someone saying , oh I ve got respect for Gono now after hearing what he has said , isn’t that stupid amnesia of the highest level. I’m at a loss of words with our people. The effects of his actions are being felt today and they are grave , people have been reduced to beggars and destitute after working all their lives, and their children have been left with nothing, all because of him. And he rubs salt into people’s wounds by saying he is at peace and sleeps for 8 hours, what a nerve , he is totally unrepentant. And you hear people being taken by those lies nxaaa.I bet it’s those people who don’t know that Zimbabwe can be better
I'm loving his life story!!
Jeremiah 11:29 🙏🏾🙏🏾

What an honest conversation! #Trevor#DrGono#TitanLaw 🥰. If was in Dr Gono's shoes was going to do the same or even worse. Nhava yaiva izere mhepo panguva yacho, kana kuri kuridza ngoma aizoiridza sei vene vacho vachiti tanga wagara pfumo 🤔.
This man has wonderful children whom Iv meet is tribute to who he is and he’s so right we must teach our children practical subjects too as they are important and can hold one in good stead and teach discipline on the road to success and too enjoy the process rather than instant gratification as that’s not how life works
Karen Hendry please! He may be nice one on one but what he did was unforgivable. His children may have had everything but other people’s children suffered and still suffering because of him
Trevor I have never seen you makadzikama muchidzmirwa. GG you did well in this interview. We know when Zim politics take centre stage....we are always doomed.
As a Zimbabwean I can tell you it's amazing how brutal and ruthless and destructive Mugabe was and yet some Africans call him a hero , At this rate of thinking Africa won't develop, hero's are leaders who turn very poor countries into first world developed countries like Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, China, Malaysia, Chile, UAE and so on, all in just 40years.
Quite an interesting conversation. Thank you for sharing!
What an inspiring personal story...
The man has wisdom and unmistakable passion to achieve his goals
Coincidentally his first born is called Passion kkkkkkk
Edgar Muzvidzwa which man are you talking about . I think some of the people here do not know who this man is , what he did and how it affected Zimbabwe. The highest goal he could have achieved would have been to steer Zim to prosperity. He failed dismally , and you say he has passion. Where are you people from , Mars?
Wonderful testimony Dr Gono
Thanks GG
Very Inspirational interview...With all these human resources and great minds where are going wrong as Zimbabweans.
Politics
Because all these people like Gono are theives at heart...
We are going wrong through praising mediocrity and forgetting that people starved & died under policies championed by the likes of Gono. Coz of eloquence you've already forgotten runaway inflation & the unspeakable pain we are still going thru as a people coz of people like Gono
Well presented Trevor
Excellent work
Very good interview.... he’s an orator like RG
Like him or not but he said some things we as Zimbabweans should think about, advice to opposition to push for reform of institutions and an inspiring life story
Why didn’t he advise that when Mugabe was alive. In fact that’s not advice at all because people have always known that but ZANU PF won’t none of it
Is it not funny that this man knows a lot about western heroes and never mentioned one African hero, no Sankara, no Lumumba, no Tshaka. no Mensah! Nowonedr why we are not innovative and creative in our governments.
Colonial mind and self doubt
And they don't even see it
The BEST EPISODE EVER!
Thank you Trevor for inviting this man...i have learnt a lot about life
Gono acknowledged that we had the best team to steer the economy during the GNU. My question is, who then destroyed that team?
Simple, the team was destroyed when the GNU ended. Also the reason the team succeeded is it stopped Gono from Quasi fiscal activities. He Gono was the problem.
i love the story
A very good interview
Gono, you should have resigned if you were against quasi fiscal operations
You are an enlighted man
He was going to shorten his life. Resigning was not an option during that time 🤔
@@godknowskamupengera4513 You probably have a point my compatriot but we needed him to be more candid about the all sins done by Mugabe and ED, not just to say there were some mistakes made. No, there were worse than mistakes as we know these old folks have been plundering the coffers of the country with the tacit consent of the governor of the Reserve Bank. He seems to continue respecting ED yet this guy has been one of the orchestrators of state plunder. I would embarce any person who admits all the previous evils of ZANU instead of absolving these crooks.

“Obesity is never a blessing to anybody “ Well said 😃
The Printing Press. The Million dollar man!
Where are you .Zim in this state it is today needs such smart and clean such brains.Am impressed Gideon
Wow what a hero no wonder Zimbabwe is so successful big thank you
Zimbabwe is successful? hmmmm
😂😂😂 I like your sarcasm
My question exactly like answer why you printed a trillion dollar bill 😂
His story is inspiring
I lost my Pension twice under this reserve bank Governor. I never changed money in streets. But my account was wiped to zero. Its tough. Now we no longer save money. We just spend it as soon as we get it. I dont know what the future holds. I just hope that everything will come out well. I have no kind words for GG.
Where was this Dr Gono when we needed him ?
Tele Tubz he had already destroyed the economy and left the scene. What else did you need him for?
I Math well i was referring where was this Gono during his tenure compared to the Gono we got.
The elephant in the room...this is eye opening interview. Hope someone could learn something 🙏
Very interesting what an incredible life journey...from a tea boy to an MBA wow
Very interesting interview right there..i loved it
"Necessary ambiguity with constructive intent" I like this 🔥🔥
I hv always enjoyed the over emphasis ,verbosity ,intellectual prowess ...........of the former Governor!!
Inspiring interview. Dr Gono is full of wisdom
Quite insightful and interesting interview.
I know so insightful he is a genius he beat inflation by printing bank notes every 24hrs and now we compete on the world markets because of him.
Brilliant discussion there Trevor with GG. Wish he had spoken loudat the time he was governor. Strong independent institutions required
I'm amazed to see many of the gesticulations of Mugabe are rubbed off on Gono
He is copying Mugabe. So sad he cant be himself.
@@denniesmagura7570 it is not copying. If you interpret that as copying then you better not have anyone you look up to because then it will be consider as "copying". Be serious.
You hit the head of a nail sir. Politicians are the biggest elephant in the room.
Profound articulation GG....
Come back and help us out....
