I had been considering a Himalayan for a while. Mostly from watching Ichy boots in Argentina. Then this past July I spotted a used 2021 parked outside our Yamaha dealer and it screamed my name as I drove by. So I called my banker (wife) and she said "Let's get it". So I rode it home and my wife followed. My wife is learning to ride on a TW200 but she keeps referring to the Himalayan as "Her Bike". I've put about 500 miles on it. Mostly on primitive dirt and gravel mountain roads. I'm an intermediate rider and I wouldn't hesitate to get a second one. In fact that's our plan because my wife just rode the TDub up and over Chelan Butte today which means she's going to be kicking me off the Himalayan any day now and putting me back on the Yamaha. Thanks for the video. Keep up the Adventures.
Congrats on getting your herd established. Now that you have 2 in the stable, they can mate and then who knows, maybe more bikes will show up in the garage.
@@GIDDYUPADVENTURES interesting concept. I wonder. What would be the result of a mating between the Himalayan and the TW200?? A KTM 390 adventure? A DR 650? A Honda monkey ? 😂 I better keep them each in their own stall until I'm a little more sure.
I own a 2020 and done tons of upgrades and loads of fun off road. I bought it just for the off road riding. did a 1000 mile of the TAT. part of the MABDR and Francis Marion National forest SC.
Could use a little more power but I'm a very understanding owner & use it within its abilities that said love the luggage capability & have definitely loaded it down like the fuel range like the minimum gadgets wish the foot pegs were better few other nit-piks but overall for what it is does just fine, happy owner of 2019 model
I have the Euro 5 here in Spain. It was released early 2021. It's a great little bike. Just uploaded a video on my channel, 2 up with luggage and 70mph
Gosh, ya know I’m not exactly sure. That bike has a great windscreen so a lot of the wind stays off of you. Fortnine is a great video content maker who has a video on best affordable helmets. My first several helmets were hand-me-downs.

I got one about 3 weeks ago. Just about 1k miles on it now. Goes anywhere I want and I can afford the mechanic. Me.

Desperately wanted to get one of these but the frame welding put me off unfortunately. I guess at the price point it should maybe be expected.
It’s a shame the USA isn’t getting the Euro 5 model, it is better again.

What affordable helmet would you recommend for a new rider looking to buy a Himalayan?
