Do you ride? What as your best trip? Riding has been my best travel experience in India and also my worst; see what happened in this video ruclips.net/video/d84v3s94lvI/видео.html.
has it bin that long woo seems like yesterday
I am in Himachal Pradesh near Palampur, otherwise I am from Europe, thinking to try my sister-in-law scooty old Honda pleasure, but I don't know motorcycle driving at all, so a bit worried 😊 car I am driving here in India for the last 6 years 😊
Will def watch this! So far my best trip was a 500 mile mini tour of mid Wales on a 125 in 35c! Was a great experience and learnt a lot.
Abr plus more Wales this year and some biker cafes plus some adv stuff close to home.
i ride a gt 650 my fav ride is to goa and it was my first solo ride so i love it
Karl, please reconsider going to Pakistan cause it might cause visa and reenter issues
Please don't start it until you clean it, change the oil, change all fluids, clean the fuel pump, and all lines, and clean spark plugs! Battery change! Himalayans are pretty sturdy bikes. More like a tractor, it will run as long as it has oil and gas!
Thank you for the help 🙏
The old Himalayan bro. You can't say the same about the new one anymore
Start kari to tujhe current lag jayega bewakuf aadmi
To change the engine oil , u wanna start it right , like warmup
@dass854 That would be in an ideal condition yes, not when bringing it out of storage after a year or more, you risk internal damage. Use thinners to flush out old oil. Start with fresh new oil. I would do a second oil flush after riding it for 500kms.
I have a 1975 650 Yamaha. Only the clutch pads have been changed. I love this Motorcycle! I'm 76 and still ride it.
Hi Sir, where are you from?
@@nabajitdebbarma3965 - Northern Coast of California. USA
Keep going sir
It's no wonder. Japanese engine
I was wondering not too long ago what happened to your bike. When we lived in Delhi I would watch your motorcycle adventures as idea gathering for my own channel, but alas, buying a bike while I was there didn't happen. I'm so happy you got it running again.
Good to see you back in the old neighborhood again! I miss it there so much (my wife loves it here in the US but I still miss India like crazy).
Bro casually coming on a supermetor 650
Amazing prices!
I got a radio station in India the other day from Haryana - Askavani 1143 MW here in Northern Finland!
Wow
Lol it's Aakashvaadi
@@pahalwanathiest Thanks, it’s spelled incorrectly in a listing I used 🙈
@@pahalwanathiestit is pronounced as Akashvani . In english, it is All India Radio ( AIR).
@@pahalwanathiest it's not Akashvadi it's Akashvani. Can be translated as the voice of the sky.
The music you used paired well with the video. It's incredible how affordable good service is. ❤
I was thinking about 100$, but honestly I thought it wasn't possible to be so cheap... 😅
Gotta love that cost of living difference :) that amount of money wouldn't even cover 1 months insurance over here...
as an Indian i would say he overpaid. a local service guy would have done for half the price
@@sharathvasudevHe even replaced the battery bro. How are u gonna do all that under 3.5k? The price he was charged he very reasonable
@@rohannaik4761dude 84 dollars is 7k
the price was fine as it was by company so that tale the responsibility@@sharathvasudev
Karl cannot grasp that very low wages makes a small bill, a huge amount for an aver. iNdian, but not for stupid foreigners.
I’ve only read the title and felt shock and horror!!! As soon as I’ve finished working I’m grabbing a costa coffee and walking back home to watch this. 3 things you don’t do in life are abandon a Harley Davidson, a Royal Enfield or a BSA. Pure sacrilege 😢. However I don’t know the full story as I’ve not watched the segment yet. I’m not reading other comments because it will be a load of spoiler alerts. Can’t wait for it, can’t wait for coffee either so it will be a nice wind down from work. I hope!!!!!! lol
Good morning Karl, that looks like so much fun!! I hope all is well with you and your family!! I can't wait for the video, take care!!
Wouldnt get a tank of petrol for 84 Euro in Ireland.. Nice bike.. happy and safe riding.
84 euro!! still can't fill your tank 😢😢 feeling sad for you bro. Here I can ride 6 to 7 months with that much money 😂😂
cost of petrol in India range from 95-100 inr. If we convert 84 euros to inr we get 7630 inr and with that much of money, one can get 80 litres of petrol. And I think RE Himalayan gives around 30/kmpl of mileage so 80*30=2400kms that's insane.
Dang Ireland is in deep shit
@nealnorth5555 do cry more please!!!!
@nealnorth5555discounted lol . What are you smoking.
Awesome video! India is a king when to comes to budget products/services. Good service support from RE.
An absolute delight for Bike lovers, would love a mod video of this bike Karl. Keep up the great work🙏
Great Video. The Service Center looks way better than my local Royal Enfield Dealership here in UK.
Looking forward to your motor cycle adventures Carl. Himalayan is certainly still one of the best indian cruiser within budget.
I have an RE meteor 350, had a faulty ignition coil. The service centre guys were so friendly and got it fixed, and my bike is working like a charm. I think REs are the Toyotas of the motorcycle world for their reliability!
RE are Toyotas? Please pass me the joint you've been smoking.
@@PrashantEM7 😂😂😂😂. RE is the most unreliable and low quality .. My classic 500 is having rust everywhere bro😂
Can be called it now to some extent earlier bikes used to rust like crazy even out of factory things won't used to work they have came a long way from that time
they have came a long way and there is more left before they can be the Toyota of motorcycles
RE is the most unreliable brands in the Indian market.
My friend's Himalayan 450 has clunky tappet noise from the engine.
The bike veers to one side.
And RE guys said its totally normal.
I hope it starts so you can gooo on rides again and show us beautiful places 🙈
Yup, I am. This is the start of a motovlog series across India and Pakistan.
@@KarlRock I'm excited for this Karl! You got this :D
I don't think he would like to gooo on rides, there's bathrooms for that. He would love to GO on a ride though yeah
@@mehtaabsinghminhas2611 wish you made more sense. Impossible to understand what you are trying to say
Great to see you back on the bike! Been a while since your first videos on the bike!
Oh and yeah the price is amazing. Like you say minimum cost nowdays of any service is about $500
@@derbart07 Thank you! There's quite a long moto-vlog series coming up now. And even one 90-minute vlog that I spent a lot of time on. Although I haven't started editing all this yet 😅 Gonna start right now. Thanks for commenting
@@KarlRock oh great look forward to it!
Great to see you back on your @royalenfield Himi Karl!!!
Great video & awesome to see the true value of time & products. As you said the similar in Australia for me would be north of 500 AUD.
I've been lucky enough to travel with Royal Enfield to some pretty incredible places. I've ridden through Himachel in India, Australia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Nepal all on Royal Enfields.
Would love to see you at Rider Mania/MotoVerse one year in Goa!
Ride safe
Jimi
Thanks for commenting mate! I definitely hit up Rider Mania one year. I went many years ago. I think there was some scheduling error this year, so I didn't go.
Got good memories with this bike. Really looking forward for the video.
Loved this video because I love motorcycles, restoration of vehicles and India. How long has Karl been back in India for?
I've missed your bike & adventures, but not quite as much as my bike & adventures. I'm currently looking for a Triumph to buy as my next bike as summer is approaching
Welcome home Karl. Good to have you back.
Very interesting that they tried to start it full knowing that it stood for a while and would need a complete fluid change. Anyway I’d be in for this treat in two months when I return home to my Classic 500 after just over a year.
Do you have a Royal Enfield?
Yeah I have Thunderbird
One that's older then me😂
I have royal cycle I'm not joking.
Yes a Continental gt650
Amazing vid Karl and I have to say, that bike is a gem😍
Great videos. What camera do you use?
thanks for everything bro, i fall asleep to all ur vids. love you long time karl. i will visit india one day because of you when i can afford it
The bike is ready for travelling
Wow new beginning again. Karl back on bike. What you need except karl back on bike . Thumbs up.
Great video...Sounds like we get shafted in NZ
PUC is done, rather required, once a year! To make sure it is still compliant with emission norms (bs3/4/6 standards)
Claiming bullet accident insurance is very easy. Staff are so gentle.
Hey, my usual Royal Enfield service centre is not as smooth and well organised as yours, which service centre did you visit? Would love to have my next service done there
Thanks for spreading positive sides of India 🇮🇳 ❤
The very VERY first video I ever watched of yours was you buying this bike.
Glad to see it’s been well used 🙂
I learned the hard way during covid that if your not driving a vehicle you have to start it once a week, maybe once ever 2 weeks, if you don't let it run at least a few minutes every week the battery goes completely dead. I never knew this or even considered it when i tried using my car one day and wouldn't start, people talked to me like i was stupid and should have known that, lol. It really should be run around block at least every few weeks as well. EDIT: Haha you paid about as much as it costs me for an oil change in USA for all that, crazy! But of course have to keep in mind income is significantly lower in India too.
If we here compare to expenditures our income isn't lower instead it's sufficient enough ... If you'll apply our income ratio wise to your place , your area will still come out pricey. 👍😛 ... Ours is people driven society bro not materialistic .
Lately I was thinking about your bike and dang... here is a video...❤
My friend's dad used to have a RE, when we tried to start it nearly after 10 years and shockingly it worked. I think these days companies are making bad products to cut cost 😐
Loved the riffs 🤘
Ayoooo group ride when Karl????? Can't wait to ride with you across mumbai
this might be the only video where you have tried to speak positively about India good job
Hey Karl,
.. love is what you feel..when you like something or someone as much as your bike man...
Take good care of her...❤(RE)
I thought in the title he abandoned his Enfield in exchange for a sportier Honda 954. Anyway great vid!
Such a cool video bro keep it up!!
I’ve got a question, do you film all your footage it one batch, and then edit it all in one batch afterwards? So like 4 weeks of just filming, and then you go somewhere and edit for 4 weeks. Or do you film and edit the same day and post it the following day?
I am at 93,000km from Kargil to kanyakumari many times. Yamaha FZ. Head to Sural Bhatori and stay a week exploring the mountains, then head up to north of Padum for the same (Shagar Yukma, on the west side of the river)
Cant wait for future motovlogs!
Change the airfilter, relube the chain, change fluids, ensure the battery is tested for ph and recharged. Then away you go...
Rithala Service Station... this is where I get my Meteor 350 serviced
As an indian, i myself am surprised about how good the RE service is and its cost 😮
Full service on my Bullet is about $300 here in Oz. Had a repair done at RE in Nepal, only charged NpRs/-400
Karl, great to see you getting back on the bike. But please reconsider going to Pakistan cause it caused the visa issue last time
never expected the service guy to pull up on a meteor 650 lmfao
Man, Karl, anything you post, I can watch all of it; food, scams, travel, now bikes.
Refreshing content!
Edit: was gonna add, I cannot believe the tow and the full service price. You got a heck of a deal! Pretty sure 3rd party service mechanics can even do it cheaper, now I am curious how much they'd they charge for that.
Wow! They really brought it back from the dead
What's it like to learn how to ride a motorcycle for someone who has only driven automatic cars? I ride a bicycle with gears, but shifting is much simpler on that because there's no engine, and therefore no clutch.
Love you Brother. You are a pure soul.❤️🇮🇳
First change oil and all rubber elements tyres bushes cables brakes clutch because no matter you ridden it or not it has its time period to change😊
Cool to see your into bikes I love them 💞
Love the music in this video ! 😊
😊😊❤ Sending prayers and wishes to you and your family 🙏 🙏🙏
Can't wait for it man❤
I’m going to have same situation in future , I am getting a Himalayan next week in Kerala. Going to use it for two weeks and next my vacation is after one and half years. My motorcycle will be covered and the battery I will put the floating charger.
Lol... 12:48 .... Standing in the road and saying 'arey yaaaa(r) to honking Bolero!!' 😆
Wow, i can't believe it's been 954 days, i feel like it wasn't that long ago since you last road it, time flies by.
I always disconnect the battery terminals for leaving it off for long period of time.
My R15 V3 started instantly, which I left idle for an year during lockdown. Not for 3 years though.
The front tire is mounted backwards?
I can feel your happiness, i own a Jawa 42, it feels awesome to after many days
Mine is so similar to yours. Same color, knuckle gaurds, even the mobile holder :P. But don't have these pinions but rear box..
I have gone through of dead battery scenario in which case have to do dhakka start or push start. Guess what, you can't do it alone and need someone to push or..OR, if you have a partking area ramp, climb it and use gravity to do other's persons task 😆.. There is a common issue in Himalayan there somehow the battery charge leaks, so it's getting consumed even in standby.
When I got my battery replaced, the guy said that it's deriving the amps means its sucking the charge while ideal as well, thats why suggested to rev it once in a week so atleast battery is not dead..
Thats why we call it chota hathi 😆
Damn 13:25 thats the most honest repair from a service centre lol
Will be amazing to see you ride❤
Wow services here in Uk are at least double that! Have about 1200 miles to go before my 3k service.
Might do it myself on my Himmy at some point.
Nice to hear you're riding a Himalayan!
@@KarlRock As a first bike been brill. Getting engine bars etc so can do some Welsh Tet😉
@@MauriceTarantulas It's a perfect first bike. It's my goto in India for everything. I don't use anything else.
Doing it yourself is fairly easy. Lots of great vids on RUclips to guide you. You can also opt to do more than UK dealers, like rear suspension linkages, headstock bearings. It's also very satisfying!
wow Karl i cannot belive the price, here in England you cannot get them to start work for anything under £200. glad you have you toy back lol hope you and the family are all well. best wish from England
Normally I would change all fluids after that long period. But I think you could have started it with just some fresh fuel. 3 years is a long time for fuel to sit.
My classic 350 reborn is also standing more then 12month am visiting my village this June , hope my bike starts , let's see
It will surely start with battry replacement
great video
Hey Karl, @14:28 just say Thank you or Dhanyawad, period. No need for Ram Ram.
Honestly impressed on how good india's local bikemakers are considering you guys have very fine bikes. I love bullets. I am from pakistan where bikemakers are non-existent only honda and suzuki make bikes. people import yamahas and david-sons.
Btw does he 84$ bill include the charge of a battery replacement if so how much?
And it was still there, well done. I ride a 1955 Ariel 500 single every day 👍
🏍️😎🤘
Good deal … I was out riding my Himalayan today … Cheers … Jai Hind 🙏
something @karlrock u can maybe look at, i noticed at 12:40 that the front tire was wrongly placed, i might not be well educated in bike mechanics. i think the tire thread/arrows must be facing the wheel/tire is spinning. Cause for cars thats the case correct me if am wrong. 🙂🙂
When the video was shot? Last year in June?
Sounds like there's a lot more soundtrack in this one \m/
i feel pity for your motorcycle bro and for you too.. i hope your day will get easier..
how affordable experience in India Awesome video! India is a king and Himalayans are pretty sturdy bikes, More like a tractor!
What do you think about the new 450 karl?
Beautiful video 😍
Thank you! Cheers!
Also you need to update your Insurance on the bike. Which is mandatory.
Thanks
nice to have u back
Bro they put your front tire on backwards. Or it was backwards to begin with
I had Royal Enfield Bullet 350 standard when i was in india but i had to sell it when I moved to Canada in 2018. I still miss my machine 🥲
That’s a very cheap price damn wish uk prices be like this they charge a fortune for parts to be fixed replaced or even fitted and for basically a full valet as well bargain 👍
without clicking on video i knew it wont start. I do wfh since then my Himalayan is standing exactly like urs ...every time iv to change battery ....it will be active only 15 days if u even put a new battery
has it bin that long woo seems like yesterday
1:55 what!! 44°celsius in march, you gotta be tripping man. That can't be true.
idk why but now i think he got it way cheaper. i had the same services done to my bike (bajaj platina) and it costed me 80 dollars (6k rupees) which i now think is costly compared to his bike but nice thing royal enfield does so
Explore new places now 🎉🎉🎉
Price is unreal I live in NZ like you said $80+ go no where here .Cannot wait for road Trips to start cheers from NZ and it Raining and 7c
Thanks mate! Editing them as we speak.
