Freddie your're getting better and better. Thanks for visiting Bike Shed and showing us around ❤
That’s very kind of you to say so, thank you Michal
Great show that one isn't it - shame I couldn't make it this year (although funnily enough Norton didn't invite me!!)....nice to see some familiar faces around. Maybe see you there again next year....
A bad review of a Norton 🤔😀
Oh dear, how sad, never mind. You reap what you sow.....
That's the price of honesty Andy. Carry on telling it like it is though - they need honest feedback even if it is bad.
I'm not on their Christmas card list either 🤣
A sacrifice worth making for honesty....
25:20 I actually detailed this bike prior to the show (and the one heading to America for Biltwell).
This is Jim from Jim’s Detailing btw.
Great video Freddie. Look forward to seeing how it went at their workshop.
Nice video, was super cool to see Darcy and the Ol man. They are very cool guys.
One of my favourite channels👌🏻👌🏻
Seen a few bits of coverage from the Bike Shed Show now Freddie, but you've knocked it out of the park. Great interviews, and loads more bikes than I've seen on any others. Superb work sir.
That CB 750 is one great looking bike! Brown on green!!! The tool role looks perfect on it.
Great video Freddie. And fantastic to see my shed build with the tool roll on RUclips. 14:18 Build number 2 has already started - a 1980 CB900 F Supersport.
What a stunning bike for a 1st build, chapeau to you sir👏👏
@@TheNorthernClassicRider thank you. It was a fun build.
Really enjoyed that, but I would have loved to see a little more coverage of the old sports bikes you scanned past.
Great to see you at the bike shed show and keep up the good work on the channel and an added bonus for my brother and me was we are on your film from the show the part just after the chopper bikes two old boys pointing at the bike looking forward to more content on the channel Steve and Andy.
Freddie, Old man, and Darcy. UK's finest motorcycle RUclipsrs.
Missenden Flyer..
Thank you! 🙌🏻
And of course The Wurks keeping Freddie on the road
With increased ticket prices this year I couldn’t justify visiting, but thanks Freddie for showing us round.
Well done guys I really enjoyed watching your travels 😃
Norton making some awesome stuff nice to see a British manufacturer still out there
What a great place for a motorcycle show !
The trip around the Bike Shed was just ace! I was so impressed by some of the builds and shear attention to detail. So it's it's a big thanks from me Freddie for that! 👀
I don’t go to bike shows anymore. So it’s good to be able to see the bikes on RUclips. I enjoy the custom bikes that people have spent ages putting together. To me that’s art. Thank you Freddie. 🙂👍
The Bikeshed Show is well worth a visit imo....it pretty much sets the bar for custom motorcycle events in the UK.
Excellent video! Attending this show is a bucket-list item for sure!
Strangely I was more interested in the architecture of the building and its history. What a great use of old space
Thanks for the support Freddie. Great to meet you and the chance you gave me to shout about our Honda hardtail
What a great Video!!! Thanks for taking us with you, just amazing!!!
As always great video and great motoshow. I cant wait the next episode. Thanks.
Really appreciate it, thanks Diego🙌🏻🙌🏻
Thanks Freddie & Missing Monika.....Great look around without the sore feet...lol...some wonderful craftsmen in the house....
Loved it all. The show looked incredible. The attendees engaged. And you Freddy are a great MC. Top video. Cheers!
Love the bike shed in Whitechapel it’s the only reason I pop into London on my bike for a coffee! A few weeks ago I bumped into Joe from the Wurks with he’s wife Emily a wonderful smashing couple & another excellent channel to watch!
Loved Andrew’s passion! His bike looks amazing!
Great walk around, cheers! You opened up Aladdin´s cave and/or paradise for us. A lot of stunningly beautiful bikes out there. Well done mate!
Brilliant round up of the show Freddie! Lovely to meet you and chat. I really appreciate it! Euan
Verry cool. My bike was heading there, until second gear collided with some, or all of the others.
Fantastic Freddie. Thank you.
You do so much for biking in the UK Freddie just by making these amazing videos with Monica. Thanks.
norton company in financial trouble owe 38 million pounds i think their bikes are too expensive average young guy cant afford
Hi Freddie...not first today. Nicely done as always, Monika and your tool bag complementing the custom build beautifully. 👍👍👍👍
Brilliant bit with Andy/Andrew and his Honda. Top story! Good show!
Good walk round, I didn't make it this year so enjoyed your take on the bikes and the video walk round.
Thanks Dale- it was an excellent! I can imagine you’re thinking about your next trip🤘🏼🏍️
@@FreddieDobbs off at midnight to catch the ferry at Dover at 7am for a weekend in Holland, back Sunday night 👍
Great video. I was there from Friday at 7pm for the full weekend and it was busy then. Sunday wasn’t too manic this year was it! It was great to see such a variety of bikes and better still if you’re able to chat to the owner to discover how much effort has gone into the build! 😁👍
Amazing show ! What a wonderful venue . Great video . Thx
Wow lots of Awesome bikes, The UK Rocks Man.
Great to see Shoogly Shed Euan’s XJR1300 on the video Freddie, well deserved, he also built my ‘Musashi’ Vmax, hope to get down for the Friday evening next year, best to go and M, JB 🏴
The Yamaha xj1300 is my favourite bike of the show. Its totally my type of motorcycle
Thank you! That means a lot!
@@ShooglyShedMotors oh I had to take a screen print of your bike,.it's beautiful and I know it's going to be ridden.
Thank you for adding beauty to the show.
Great video Freddie! Some gorgeous bikes. Thanks for sharing.
Excellent video! We were there also and loved the show.
Really enjoyed that Freddie 🏴🏴🏴
Thanks John- some very strong Scottish representation there🏴
Great footage Freddie & Monika. Some very talented and imaginative builders out there. Hope you’re enjoying the Bonnie… 😊😊
I saw some stunning Nortons and Royal Enfields. Thanks for bringing us along, Freddie.
Great video Freddie … I could not make it this year, but it looks like this show is going from strength to strength ..bike heaven! 👊
Thanks for this, Freddie. Very much enjoyed all the beautiful bikes. Wish we had something comprable here in Toronto or Montreal.
P.S. Love your sofa !
A real pleasure to meet you Freddie, we’re brain storming ideas for a collab 🤔…
It was a great show again at bikeshed.
Really loved Andrew's honda and he is a gent.
Thanks again for stopping and chatting with me and Jayne don't forget to tell Monika about the theatre tickets lol.
Great video as always 🏍️🏍️🏍️
It was a pleasure to meet you, Malcolm! Andrew is a gent and I think there may be a buyer for the Honda. Hugely appreciate it re the theatre tickets🙌🏻🙌🏻
Thanks for taking us along… look forward to the next vlog…
So disappointed I didn’t see you there!
Glad u interviewed the young Scotsman have been following, his vlog very interesting 🤔 nice video 📸
I’ve just started watching his channel. He comes across very well and his build’s great👌🏻👌🏻
Shoogly Shed is a fantastic builder and lovely guy.
Very enjoyable Freddy - thank you for posting.
Love those K series BMW based customs. Something about them that lends a neo-futuristism to any custom despite being from the 80s.
A great video of a great show - I could have watched another 30 minutes at least, Well done Freddie and good to see a cameo of the old man..:)
Well Freddie did it again another well informed video
Great video Freddie, love to get there one year and experience it first hand .
What a nice show!
That was really great and the Bike Shed looks like an amazing building. I hope Maeving do well with their bikes. Very smart having the removable batteries as well since it will be make sense if you live in an apartment or flats and was glad to see Charley Boorman there even if only for a few seconds. Looks like you have scored another subscriber. All the best from South Australia.
What an amazing event, what an incredible venue
Brilliant Video. Feel like I walking steps.
Really enjoyed this episode - like the alchemy ( what passion) and also saw a glimpse of a XT 600 that I crossed Australia on. The Bonnie looks glorious -- regards - Rupert and KTM in Karoo
I LOVED ATHAT XT600 too- a real over lander💪🏼💪🏼
Nice to meet you and your Neighbour on the way in... Both of you Gents! Another Great Vlog!
Great video. Thanks. It would be better if they stayed open on the bank holiday Monday.
That Maeving looks brilliant.
Great episode! Loved the Royal Enfield's and that green Yamaha close to the end.
Great video as always, although was disappointed to see you just skip past the British legendary Holy grail, the Vincent Black Shadow, a British bike made in Stevenage from 1948 -1955 and was the fastest production bike in the world up to the mid 70's despite production having stopped nearly 20 years prior, and still wining races and being raced by the like of John Surtees in the 60's, and written about by Hunter T Thompson. 1971 novel Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, he wrote "If you rode the Black Shadow at top speed for any length of time, you would almost certainly die. That is why there are not many life members of the Vincent Black Shadow Society." and not cheap these days with good example's going for up to £90,000.
Damn it, this is the best concise overview I’ve ever heard for the Black Shadow! I’ll pin this comment, thank you so much🙌🏻
@@FreddieDobbs I only know what i do as my wife grandfather worked in the factory then then went onto design auto gearboxes for the E type after their demise and he has so many stories to tell, and i just love to listen.
John Settees? Bet he always sat down on the job.
@@PDCRed His moto was sofa so good 🙂
Good to see Shoogly. The XJR 1300 is one of my favorite bikes and that ones a beaut!
Lovely 👍🏻🙏🏻
Now I’ve passed my CBT I feel like I can actually visit these shows as genuine rider…( although one who will admittedly work his way up to the full license) 😂
That ducati cafe racer 😍. Hope it goes into production as I’ll have a new dream bike.
Hi Freddie your so lucky . We dont get shows like this in Ireland . The Dublin show is good but its in Dublin 4 hours away from me so its so difficult to get there . We need more shows and over in the west of Ireland . Galway has so many good venues but everything here is Dublin based . Great stream Freddie many thanks 👍👍👍
Thanks for the tour, Freddie. I always wince when I see electric motorbikes as they are a signal that motorcycling as we know it is going to be killed off. The phrase “turkeys voting for Christmas” always comes to mind.
Sir, your channel is a great treasure for the real bike enthusiasts who doesnt like any other bullsh*t and idiot things as other vloggers.. or say reviewers do.
That’s very kind of you to say so, thank you sir
Some years back i went to "The Art of the Motorcycle" show in NYC. Although it was a very impressive collection of bikes, it paled in comparison to this Bike Shed event. Well done Freddie, always enjoyable to watch you do your thing. Cheers !!!
I’ve heard of this NYC show, so very interesting to hear your thoughts. Thanks Mark🙌🏻🙌🏻
I really must make the effort to go to this show and I really enjoyed your film Freddie wonderful entertainment 😊
Enjoyed that Freddie. It’s not really me - but then I’m a child of the 80s and 90s and sports bikes and handling will always trump bling and paint jobs for me.
Freddie welcome to biking world 🌍
You should get Maeving to loan you a test bike Freddie 😉
Thanks for mixing in the sound of the bike engine...😁👍
As an over 80 still m/cycling since 16 years , I hate that last orange 'bike' , it is everything a realm bike isn't !
The cx behind the bike with the tool roll looked interesting
that naked norton bike looked amazing
Fred, you know that was usernamekate and Duke of blonde on the Norton stand don't you? Lol
Not sure about the electric bike, can’t force myself to call it a motorcycle, a great video as always Freddie
It's a pity that the show wasn't on the bank holiday Monday too. If it's that crowded then an extra day might make sense.
I knew an old biker (ex-Hells Angel) who restored old bikes and had a 1920's Indian in his living room. I'd wake up next to it in the morning after parties at his place.
maeving has the looks and the ease of charging that make it a good city bike. 7-8k is expensive but much easier to swallow than a zero at 12k
Classic Legends who own BSA also own the Jawa brand btw...I'm not sure why they haven't tried bringing in that brand into the UK...they're a rage here in India! Of we do have some history with them cos they were also here in the 60s all the way up to the 80s after which they folded until Classic Legends revived the marque!
Freddie, we met at the Friday bash and discussed you trying out a rotary Norton. You took my number. Let me know if you still want to take a ride. I can be found on LinkedIn too. Rupert
The Maeving is brilliant but could do with tubeless tyres. Gopod to see the Bonneville back on the road. Nick
how does the maervin compare to a 150 mpg 125 ?
Extremely good question. I’ll try and borrow one and find out
60k for a Norton? 'Norton your nelly'
It was great seeing the stunning Norton bikes, a true display of British craftsmanship. I wonder how long it will be till they follow Triumphs lead and sub out their bike building to a low wage Asian country!
Mavic has it together! Now, if there can just be a universal battery that all bikes use, exchange the battery instead of waiting for charging at "filling" stations would be such a better way to stay on your way.
4.00 usernamekate and dukeofblonde in shot 😂
Dirty Cats London load in at 2:08 ! love it
I've never particularly been an electric bike fan but Maeving have hit on great idea with those easily removable batteries. The question would be how much do they cost and how long do they last . . .my thought is you could keep a couple of extra ones on charge for quick changeover's when needed.
Hiya Freddie..ketonski & Isambard were built by my friend Paul Keeton a n engineering genius from South Yorkshire glad you liked them 😊
My first visit on the Saturday, to be honest a waste of £45 (entrance and 13th floor of the car park), looks nice on the video, but on the Saturday and Sunday, they crammed in as many people in as they could. Dont think I will bother again. However nice video.
Great video as always, thanks Freddie. Been to every one since 2018. Still the best show by far, but as others have mentioned it did seem a bit sparse this year.
It did seem slightly empty this year, I was trying to work out who was missing - Malle and Bolt weren't there were they?
I went a bit bike-blind after a while, they all started blurring together. There were some standouts and I loved the increasing number of classics, clearly restomodding is a growing thing. And of course we're all getting that bit older and creakier so we're seeing more early adventure bikes appearing, even if they're dressed up as Dakar replicas. How long I wonder before people are welding the subframes back onto old R80s and hunting ebay for the original plastics?
Overall, I still think it's the best bike show the UK has to offer, Vikki, Dutch and the team really show how to do it, from the displays to the food to the music to the venue, they make you wonder why on earth you'd want to spend time in a warehouse of an exhibition centre in the depths of winter.
But oh, Freddie, Freddie, have you learnt nothing. Indicator off at you turn into the Shed, otherwise your cool disappears quicker than the steam from your barrista coffee.
I wondered exactly this; Merla Moto and a couple of other clothing brands weren’t there this year, and I couldn’t figure out why (I’d be genuinely interested to know)
@@FreddieDobbs Hi All, We did lose a couple of regular brands this year due to clashing commitments, which is standard each year as things ebb and flow, but we also added several new brands and companies who haven't ben before or are new. Some retail brands are managed by distributers who chose who to bring and who to leave behind, so losing one often means gaining another.
In terms of seeming more "empty", we spaced all the bikes out better this year. in 2022 and 2023 we felt that we crammed too many shed builds into the great gallery, all in long rows, which made them hard to view and photograph - so we moved more bikes downstairs onto the vaults and used more of our 'hexagon' displays to give each bike more space. We were also a little more selective this year, as we find it hard to say No to nice people. Last year there were 313 bikes, this year just over 270 - but bear in mind they are almost all new builds, and still had to get through our selection criteria - which we think is a staggering amount of fresh metal to see - and it still takes a whole day. Hope that helps answer your questions.
Love the edit at 11:37! 🤣
