You could actually spend 3 days just in Franschoek.
Day 1: Franschoek wine tram
Day 2: Hike 'Mont Rochelle' nature reserve.
Day 3: Visit the 'Hugenot Monument' and Franschoek museum. Gives an interesting background as to how Franschoek was founded and why it is important in the history of wine production and agriculture in South Africa. Also eat out at a few different places in Franschoek on this day and visit the vintage car museum and chocolatier shop.

If you have not been blasted by the South Easter also called the Cape Doctor, you have not visited Cape Town in summer.

Cape Town wine route is the best in the world in my experience. Tuscany is a close second. Chile, California were major let downs and not great. France had a fab range, but all too spread out and not setup of tourists ie. rude French etc. SA weather, food, wine and wild life is impossible to surpass.

lol pity tourist usually only stay in Cape town CBD, and don't venture to the real beauty traveling to Stellenbosch, Somerset West etc.
