Summarizing on how I took it ~ 1.Arrive early to Survey my potential brokerage, 2. Dress for Success 3.Dont be a leech but ask on how you may better help the company 4.Be professional
A brokers sole job is to make sure you ARE TRAINED, its in plain view when studying for your license. Unless you are talking about them wanting someone to hold their hand throughout the entire process. Training is definitely mandatory by the real estate division and it would be in the best interest of the broker to make sure you are fluent on laws and operating procedures so that neither of you are getting sued.
Actually, not true. Brokers provide training opportunities and training is not mandatory by any real estate division. Continue Education is mandatory, which is very different from training on how to be a Realtor. Training agents is offered in some form or fashion by the brokerages. However, it's up to the agent to show up.
@@dagr8jstorm Well thats not what I'm reading, so idk what to tell ya. They are to provide training and resources to agents along with continued ed which is what I was mainly referring to
@@xer0concepts Well, you don't have to tell me anything. Been in Real Estate for over 10 years. What you read versus what's actually being done are two different things. Its really the agent's responsibility to get the training. The brokerage will provide training opportunities. If this was the case, the failure rate of agents would not be close to 90%. You might be a rude awakening if you think this is the case.
The timeliness of this video is everything!!! Thanks for sharing this my guy!
No doubt!
I have been nerding out hard on your videos! Thank you do much for putting this all out there! Im doing my 150 hour pre-licensing training. When I cant stand to read another word, I watch your videos for some practical real world info!
Thank you so much for the great advice. I was in real estate a few years ago and had to leave my career because of divorce. I ventured into furniture sales until I was able to get back into my real estate career. I needed this great advice. Keep the good videos coming Chastin. I am a new fan.
I like this a lot. And in perfect timing! I’m super close to finishing my real estate class and have been applying like crazy to different teams and brokerages looking for assistants and new agents, haven’t heard back from any so far but not much time has passed yet. This was really helpful for me. I really want to get trained, but it’s unfair to expect to be trained when you can be an asset which I like that you pointed out. It’s good to have someone and something to guide you, but you still have to do the legwork which is something I think people are lacking in this day and age in all career paths
There decking you cause you don’t have your license to hang yet. It’s the opposite brokers want you so your interviewing them.
I left a comment a few hours ago, and I actually just got a call from a Keller Williams group in my area wanting me to meet with their broker! I just thought it was crazy that I watched this just today and got an interview the same day. Also wanted to say thank you because your videos have done a lot for me as far as powering through my class and staying motivated.
Thats awesome! Good luck with everything.
Im working on my RE license now. Your book has helped me out a ton. Thanks for the knowledge and time!
Best of luck!
Man you just got that vibe so confident you can sell anything to anybody.
@@StephenKershaw1 yeah ok buddy yet he’s been in the business for years and he’s a broker now

Another good video.

You are fire
I’m currently in Accounting thinking about becoming a realtor and this sort of reminds me of a Corporate America type of interview. I mean it ‘s understandable brokers want the best on their team I just thought the real estate world was a little different.
Early
Is wearing a jacket and no tie is that ok? I want to go into a casual interview.
How does someone go about joining/interviewing for a team at EXP? Do you already have to be apart of the brokerage?
No not necessarily, if there's a team that you see that you want to be a part of, you'll just need to reach out to them to setup an interview.
Chastin J. Miles Awesome, thank you for clearing that up!!
Question do all brokers still require you to physically go in to interview ? I thought it was usually over the phone or zoom now
No but each broker is different. Some may be over video some may be in person. You won’t know until you ask the specific one.
Just passed my state exam and got my license. How do I get a interview with the brokerages? Do I fill out a application? Do I just go in or call?
You can call and if they have an application for you to fill out they will have you come in and fill it out or fill it out online.
Hi Chastin, I just got my license. Do they ask you to sell something at the interview? Like a sell me this pen type of deal.
Congratulations on obtaining your license! They might ask you some sales questions such as technique, scenarios, and look at what potential you may have. Good luck and reach out with any questions.
@@ChastinJMiles Thanks man. Love your channel.
when I interview with a broker, I don't care who, I will drive professionally, not often wearing a tie, I would like to dress sharp. I would not ask about their training, some don't have any or will not train. They just want bodies there to pad their numbers. I often have a sense of feel first time I walk into the office or speak to the reception. I look around and see how the agents facial reactions are. I often asked difficult questions so I get them off guard so they can be honest with me. I ask problem solving questions to see if the broker is a problem solver.
In general, can someone get an interview with a brokerage while waiting for their license?
Yes absolutely.
Should you remember some interview questions in your head or should you write them on a note card and bring it with you to the interview?
Bring a notepad so you can take notes
Is Keller Williams a good brokerage to begin with?😬
Each office is independently owned and operated so it's best to just go in for an interview.
So happy I found your channel. I just got my license in CA. Next step is finding a brokerage.
You'd be surprised now how people show up to interviews. When I lived in Vegas, those girls showed up ready to swing around a pole for an office job interview.
OMG! Crazy!
Awesome Content! So valuable and I learned so much from it. I hope we can work together would love to edit your video, have you see our works?
Do you recommend any places to shop at?
For clothes or what?
Chastin J. Miles Yes clothes and shoes
video starts at 1:35 and ends at 6:35 btw guys :)
The link to the interview questions is broken and delivers a "404" error message.
Shoot me an email, I'll send them to you chastin@chastinjmiles.com
Do I need a résumé?
No
Auditor good have own channel. Listen to how you describe the business
.
I have never said anything negative in a comment in my entire life but dude, you are greedy! You want superstars and it is not about what the brokarage can do for the agent? You want that money from them, you have be nice and offer anything those agents need to do their job in order to be the superstars you are talking about you wanting to work for you. Ha! Such a joke!
Glad you made it, everyone was waiting for your opinion.
