What's up guys, hope you enjoy. I linked up all the ingredients in the description above. Something to note - I do about 55% Baking Soda, 45% Arrowroot Powder for myself to be exact. If you have. a good tolerance for baking soda you can up that percentage quite a bit and it will work better. Alternatively you can lower it and play around for what works best for your body. Cheers!
I've been doing my own liquid deodorant for a few years now. I had the same type of issues (rash-like itch) when using speed stick, degree, etc. My idea was to turn a deodorant salt crystal stick into a solution, and add essential oils. From experience, avoid spray bottles because the salt will crystallize in the sprayer components. Also, avoid alcohol until you're sure it's cooled. Reason being if it's too salty, crystals will form (much quicker with the help of alcohol, which I suspect was the downfall of my trusty spray bottle). Nowadays I'm avoiding alcohol (tempted to try it with the roller applicator I've been using), and it's been great. Like you said; highly affordable, no irritation. It's not an ANTIPERSPIRANT (which fundamentally is unhealthy from the ingredients to the idea of clogging pores that are designed to keep you cool), so you will sweat a bit more than you're used to. I've heard some ppl say a detox may be helpful before switching over from antiperspirants to natural. Luckily enough I had already strayed away from antiperspirants in my struggle to find a neutral enough store bought deodorant.
thanks for posting this! I kinda want to try this but yours and other recipes I've seen all include teatree oil. Is there any alternative to that which is also anti bacterial? I can't stand the smell of teatree oil...
@@calumx I'd avoid both! I thought that I'd read something about lavender lowering testosterone, but I wanted to confirm it out before commenting. I Googled "lavender" and "testosterone" together, and several studies from respected universities and published by National Institutes of Health, New England Journal of Medicine, etc. confirmed this. Most of the same studies also implicated tea tree oil as well in lowering T, raising estrogen in males, and/or being associated with gynecomastia in prepubescent boys. Bad medicine!
@@MikeV8652 I'd disagree. Use your intuition and common sense. It may be bad for you but when I smell and interact with Lavender as a plant it feels amazing too me. I put it on my skin before sleep. Everything is complicated but if a plant feels good to me I will use it. For example if it helps give me better sleep and calms me down, that can actually raise testosterone. Maybe if you experiment with lavender you would find you don't like it but I love it
@@calumx Oh, I love the smell, too. I used to have and use some men's lavender cologne that I'd bought in Mexico. I just want everyone to know of any possible unintended side effects before they choose to use something.
ive used baking soda deodorant and it made my underarm skin thicken and darken.. i dont think you're supposed to leave it on your skin for a prolonged time

Yeah for sure. You can use any essential oils you like. Replace tea tree oil with Lavender for example.
@@calumx Thank you! If that still works that's awesome, I'll definitely try that!
