To assist detox process i love lymphatic cleanse routine (free+ easy!) Perry Nickelston ' stop chasing pain' teaches daily 6 step lymph cleanse, only takes couple minutes & is really effective. I suggest taking photos of your neck + jawline to see the changes in 30 days. After 18 months my skin looks 20 years younger.. (im 60yr female)
So many amazing tips! I love how you mentioned the detox stage, it is easy to forget that there are consequences for what we put in our bodies, and it can be a hard transition to traditional and natural forms of living. It’s a mental and physical game 💪
Yes, totally agree!! We totally didn't know about detoxing when we made the switch to natural deodorant so it was a harder transition for sure, but we made it through :). Now, I make sure to warn everyone!
This works SO well! I love it! I put a sprig of rosemary in mine. I just ran out so I’ll be making another batch this weekend & I’ll use a sprig of red cedar!
So excited to try this recipe! I made a very similar one last year but need to replenish it soon and don't know what recipe i used lol! Thank you for sharing with so much detail all your tried and true tallow based skin care. It feels like a gold mine 😍
Thanks for the tutorial! If I don't have beeswax and tapioca flour at hand, can I only use baking soda with the tallow and coconut oil? Thanks in advance! :)
You can definitely experiment with doing it that way! Baking soda can bother some people's skin but as long as you aren't sensitive, it should work fine. I've also switched to using arrowroot flour instead of tapioca because I do think it works better. :) Thanks for watching!
I’m wondering if you could just increase the arrowroot powder instead of baking soda? I’ve also heard of people having success with zinc oxide (active ingredient in mineral based sunscreens) in baking soda free deodorant but I’ve never tried it personally! Good luck! Thanks for watching!
We haven’t experimented with it so can’t say one way or the other. If the properties are similar and you’d rather go that route it’s worth a shot. We’d love to hear how it works if you try! Thanks for watching!
Can lard be used instead of tallow? I raise pigs and thus have lard. Or, my only source of tallow is from deer my husband hunts. Can you comment on that please?
I haven't experimented with making one without baking soda although I do like to lower the amount and add the arrowroot powder to make it more gentle on the skin. Thanks for watching!
Love your program but the background music is taking away from your lovely voice, it’s just very distracting. I don’t mean to offend, just like hearing you.
Warning!! If you’re an outdoor person and you have on a sleeveless shirt, DO NOT USE TALLOW IN YOU DEODORANT!! That is unless you like being stung in the arm pit by yellow jackets?? It has happen to me 3x and ONLY when I had used this deodorant. Talk about PAINFUL🥵
@@FromScratchFarmstead Yellow Jackets(hornets..etc wasp family) are all carnivores, so it actually makes sense. I live in the Rockies, Montana, maybe it’s different here? But I think most of us have had the experience of eating outside and hornets (or whatever you choose to call them) going for the meat and anything sweet.
That really sucks. I’ve also never had this problem. I will usually put a sprig of rosemary or red cedar in my batches which adds just enough scent to not be overpowering as it would be if I were to use essential oil. Maybe give that a try and see what happens!
@ thanks dear, I’m just going back to my diy coconut deodorant. When you’ve experienced it more than once, it’s not a chance your willing to take again…at least I’m not😳

I also added 2 tbsp Magnesium Hydroxide to this recipe it works amazing, once you detox from store deodorant.
Wonderful! Thanks for sharing!
Did you add more of anything or did you follow her recipe and then just add 2 tbsp of Magnesium Hydroxide?
I love that you use tallow for everything! You're becoming my go to for tallow skin care, so thankful I found you!
So glad these recipes are helpful!

Thanks for the great content. I'd love to see how you make your shampoo bars 😊
Maybe we’ll have to make that video soon! Thanks for watching!
Very interesting! I make my own deodorant for years, but never thought of adding tallow to it. Thanks for the recipe, I shall try it for next batch :)
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
Congratulations on the 1,000 subscribers. When I joined (not too long ago) it was just 700
Thank you!!!!
*Much Appreciated KudOsW...* 👌👌👌
Going to totally try this... I've made deodorant before but it ended up burning my armpits really bad so had to stop using it
Hopefully this will work for you! Baking soda can be irritating but the tallow is very soothing!
I am excited to try your recipe! What do you think about adding Kaolin Clay to it? Have you tried it?
I haven’t but I would think the clay would be a great addition!
You can melt it all in the little jar so you don't have any dishes to wash... Well, other than the spoons. :)
Good tip!!

@@FromScratchFarmstead Thanks, haha, I've already ordered some arrowroot flour in the meantime since I found out the same thing about baking soda :)
I want to try this! What bentonite clay detox would you recommend as there are so many?
Awesome! This is the bentonite clay we have but I think there could be a lot of good options - amzn.to/40Y1Dks
i wanna make some ,but also wanna add essential oils, which brand do you recommend? some natural and organic ones
Great video, any more natural alternative to using baking soda?

If I wanted to add magnesium hydroxide, any idea on how much should be used with this recipe?
Hey Hey Thanks for Sharing!♡
Do you think you could add in Different essential oils...or lavender, sage,.or Basil..or etc?
Absolutely!!!

Ive never tried so I can't speak from personal experience but I don't see why you couldn't.
Can I replace coconut oil with olive oil?
I haven't tried! Let us know if it works!
Does it go bad? How long does it last?
It should last for several months!
Can we add essential oils?
Absolutely!
