Tulips are so pretty, they have always been one of my favorites. In Magalia the town planted them a long time ago and every spring that’s all you see down our main road is bright beautiful yellow tulips. Can’t wait to see all of your tulips next spring.

Stunning! Those sedums have stolen a piece of my heart! You have given me an appreciation for grasses that AREN'T purple fountain grass! (gasp!) I, too, am anxious to see the tulips in bloom; but, I'm more interested in what the dianthus will look like. I agree with you. Since the compost that you usually mulch with is so good for the plants, will you be raking up & replacing the black mulch? I hope so. I don't care for the black. I'm thinking that you'll do something awe-inspiring with that precious pond! I really hope so...it's just so sweet. 💜

some growers say not to fertilize bulbs until year 2, they say it 'burns'. have you experimented with this or is it dependent on bulb quality?

So it's spring right now and I bought some bulbs,ie: tulips and hyacinths. They are grown and in bloom but the hyacinths flowers are dying. When should I transplant them into the ground? I've done a little research and think I should wait till the flowers die and then transplant, should I do this?
