    Perhaps Garden Answer and a sponsor would consider a subscriber contest. The lucky winner will have Laura of Garden Answer design a front garden/landscaping project in an upcoming either spring or fall planting window.

    Hello Laura and Aaron, firstly thank you fir sharing your knowledge with us all, I am learning so much. I must say that for me, I bought my first house last year (it is my 38th move as I was in the military) I live alone and am a Nurse so very busy. After finding your videos I actually feel more knowledgeable and able to tackle all the different areas here. You have given me the ability to just 'start', now on my days off over the last month I have been tackling rocks, stones, slate, weeds etc., as I can now envisage what a garden can look like and actually feel able to achieve these enormous projects. Please never stop making these videos or I would be lost. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Your friends are very lucky to have you both, their garden looks absolutely beautiful. Wendy (North Wales, UK)

    I really loved seeing a project of this size from start to finish, it would be great to see more like this with different styles of homes. I would especially like to see you do a balcony, for those of us that live in condos or apartments.

    It's so fun seeing different styles of gardens. Cottage/modern/formal/white flowers only---these all give so many ideas for our own gardens. I watch your videos, and my husband and I are watching the British Garden Rescue shows. Combining what we learn from both sources, we have been able to make great headway on our "blank slate" front and back yards.
    Excellent explanations, Laura, and excellent video footage, Aaron!

    I love it! The owners did a great job updating a brick ranch. That's not always easy to do. The blue/gray color looks beautiful behind the colorful foliage. The plant choices are perfect, so fresh looking. As always, you made it a feast for the eyes and Aaron did an amazing job with the filming.

    I have loved this series of videos so much, Laura! I watch all your videos, but as someone who is ripping out oversized, sad, builder-grade shrubs and trying to establish new flowerbeds in a new-to-us home, this series was perfect and so informative. Your gardens are already so beautiful that it’s sometimes hard to look at overgrown bushes/weeds/tired beds in my yard and imagine them transformed like yours. So this step-by-step change was amazing! It’s *almost* enough to inspire me to try drip irrigation! 😂 #intimidated

    Hi Laura and Aaron. The garden areas and pots turned out really pretty. I really enjoyed this series, but honestly I enjoy all of your videos. But, seeing a smaller garden like a lot of us have being landscaped was so nice. We used the fabric in our garden areas in front, but only planted perennials close to the foundation, no annuals, and used pastel colored rock on top of the fabric. Thank you for sharing!

    Looks wonderful. I love the whole process being explained on a yard that that most people can identify with. I did use landscape fabric for one of my beds and swore that I would never use it again. When the mulch breaks down and you re-mulch over the years, the weeds grow on top of the now decomposed mulch. It also makes it a pain to plant new things because you have to cut the fabric that could now have several inches of really nice dirt on top.

    • @farmerjones9612
      @farmerjones9612 5 лет назад +4

      we just spent all day yesterday yanking out 20 year old fabric with the tractor . I will never go near the stuff again..It sure lasted a long time but the roots grew down thu it making weeds impossible to pull out , getting some ideas for planting around our foundation now that we have a blank slate ! This house is so cute now with these plantings !

    • @shirleya7198
      @shirleya7198 5 лет назад +2

      Yeah, I think that's why she said she doesn't usually use the fabric when she plants gardens, but the owners wanted it, so you give your advice informing them, and then you do what they ask for. :)

    Outstanding series. Thanks for consistently sharing your process in such an easy going and organized way. The content, presentation and editing makes it easy to understand. My flower beds, containers (and my Mom’s) are gorgeous this year. Also, The honesty and calm way you acknowledge and face challenges and change is admirable and growth oriented! Such great teamwork. THANK YOU!💗

    Looks great and definitely relatable. I only have about a 100 sq. ft. flower bed so this scale translates well to my projects. Thanks for sharing!
