I feel so bad for swoop because she interviewed him ready to listen to another victim and instead her own SA got minimized to “pretty cut and dry”

I think his enthusiasm in his interviews was the thing that a lot of people noticed first when the other victims were a lot quieter and less cheery in comparison.
He is just happy to talk nd hve people asking him questions about himself 🤑
Especially his creepy smiles, like he so happy to be getting the attention
In my mind at first it was like he’s also a lot older then all the victims and might been able to work thru things faster and feel as if he’s dealt with the issues as he’s older and able to do that possibly.
i noticed he put words in the other victims' mouths sometimes too, to make the already horrible situation seem even worse. i was not surprised at all that he turned out to be lying

Colleen's own grooming (of gay male teens) demonstrates this too so it's weird he's using 'they weren't my sexual preference' as a defense. It doesn't matter. You can still groom them and be inappropriate to them.
I'm glad Colleen's situation has brought more awareness to this. Too often grooming is viewed as sexual/lustful when it's about flexing power over someone vulnerable.
its because when you hear the word some people mind goes straight to "sexual" even though it's not which is why colleen believes she does not have a role in it that's why she not taking acccountablility

his stating that he was confident in his sexuality in the context of being in a chat with teenage girls is disturbing. Why did sexuality come into mind when in that context unless there was something implicit there in the culture of the people of tour with Colleen

And then he ended up getting close to and video chatting with a bunch of teen girls anyways? It looks like most if not all of John's "fans" are girls.

Except he barely analyzed any of his body language. It’s more like a reaction/commentary on the situation with some minor comments about Johnny’s facial expressions. Really wish I could find a video where his body language is actually thoroughly analyzed with supporting ideas from theory and a sociology/psychology perspective.

@@Quietworld43 this is the reason I unsubscribed from Observe last year. He's a reaction channel. Nothing wrong with being a reaction channel. It's just now what I'm after. I actually want that body language analysis, since that's what he touts himself to be.
The most ridiculous part of that "pick me up from the airport" story is that it wasn't a formal invitation at all. Josh tweeted about his show and Johnny replied to that tweet saying that he was going and Josh was like "Yay! That's awesome." As Swoop put it, if that was an invitation, then hey, all of us were invited, too!
He was trying to copy Adams story. Adam was stranded in Dublin by Colleen as a kid. Johnny lied saying he was 17 when stranded before the show but he was 19. You can't even rent a car at 17 like he said. He's a liar.

Colleen groomed me = Josh groomed me
Colleen left me stranded in Dublin = Josh left me stranded in LA
Colleen sent me lingerie = Josh sent me a ball of duct tape
Colleen sent me unsolicited pics of Trisha = But I was sent those too, and it's far worse, somehow. (Something he actually said to Adam's face)
But then again, so many people were taken in. :/

Seems clear that Johnny’s intention from the beginning has been achieving fame. He chose the husband, that didn’t work. He switched to Colleen, that didn’t work. Now he’s seen the attention Adam is receiving (as he should) and is trying to ride that ‘train’ by attempting to mirror/out-do Adam’s and other victims’ stories, but it’s all smoke and no fire. He’s a terrible, self-absorbed human who feels the world owes him something he’s never earned. I think the best thing we could all do is stop saying his name.
Maybe Colleen was referring to Johnny when she sang Toxic Gossip Train 🤔

He was just trying to steal the attention they were getting. Turns out he and his former best friend and partner in Colleen-coattail riding may be even worse than she is.

So I'm pretty sure Adam actually said that Johnny is completely lying about bullying Adam and keeping him out of the "tiny chats" and said he doesn't know why Johnny is making all of this up because the years didn't even line up. So some of the red flags you picked up were maybe because he was just straight up making up stories about Adam since Adam is a big part of this story.
Adam has said a few times that Johnny is completely lying about the bullying, Adam would have been like 10 when that happened so not possible.
Yep! Johnny seems jelly of Adam & the gifts & the attention. He seems like a piece of work. He’s actually blaming them for his transportation problems! As if he doesn’t understand what it is like being a performer on show day.
Bullying Adam is probably true. The details are what he lies about to suit his narrative.
I believe the only time Johnny potentially took part in bullying Adam was in 2020 when Adam put his story out about all this crap….when he was 17 years old. We know from tweets that Johnny supported Colleen’s response video in 2020, but I don’t think I’ve seen proof that he was a part of the online bullying & harassment that people like Kodee Tyler (sp?) did to Adam in 2020….on Colleen’s behalf.

Survivors get exhausted and embarrassed when we rehash trauma. There’s often a lot of shame. But Johnny got energized and excited the more attention he got. He was delighted to talk.
Not necessarily, depends on your own journey to healing and context I believe… What I mean is I do talks and conferences about my own PTSD in order to help, inspire others, spread awareness and open much needed discussions.
Therefore, its painful and exhausting to revive all these horrific traumas… but Im not embarrassed (worked hard for years to not be) and I get energized and « excited » because of my goal : helping everyone I possibly can.

I talked to survivers of the ukraine war, and they seemed to get "energized" while talking, but because they finally had someone to listen and wanted everyone to know about the war.
❤❤❤ sometimes it's a release to get it out of your head and when you hear it out loud and it doesn't hurt you as much as you feared, that can give you energy
I believe that Johnny had his own "intentions" reagarding Josh, and when Josh wasn't interested in him, Johnny decided to destroy this man.

I agree! I think he also just wanted to jump on the Colleen Ballinger train to get attention like Adam, Oliver and Becky. He also is trying to be an "influencer" and wanted views and likes. He gave me a bad feeling all along.

I got a very bitter/scorned-love-interest vibes, from the way he spoke about Josh and downright pissy about Josh's relationship with colleen... he was pushing so hard at relaying to ppl how Josh was being slyly "inappropriate" towards himself and the way Josh may or may not have thought of him... the, "well he didn't propose for NINE YEARS... he slipped me his number and was kinda like use this if you need it, wink-wink... OUR little COFFEE DATE... he reallyyy WANTED ME to come to his show..." was all very narrative driven... it was laid on super heavy in an attempt to push that idea, without out and out saying it... imo...
Yup. First tried to destroy him in 2016 when Johnny bullied and harassed Josh during Josh’s divorce to Colleen, and now he’s trying to do it again.

I see something more sinister in his "I don't care if he's a victim.. we're not talking about that right now." I believe he is telling everyone he may have wronged: "Shut up. We're talking about the Ballingers."
It seems to me he doesn’t care about any victims at all, unless he himself wants to be a victim to garner sympathy and attention.
I took it as “shut up, we’re talking about ME”. Like, I don’t even think he believes Joshua should have come out about it earlier purely because I don’t think he believes or cares that Joshua was abused. He’s so resentful of Joshua that he very much sees this as HIS time and he doesn’t want Joshua getting any sympathy because that would take away from him
Actually now that I think of it, if Joshua HAD come out about abuse in the year or so after the divorce, I think Johnny would have taken the side that was looking more convincing. If colleen was getting more support he would have backed her and called Joshua out, but….I think he just as likely would have tried to platform himself off of Joshua’s pain. He would have been super vocal online, would have tied himself to Joshua, would have come forwards with loads of fake stories of things he witnessed to be a key source. Whatever could have happened, he would have hitched himself to whatever horse was looking like a winner and tried to build his fame off it
it’s like he wants to be "the perfect victim" if that makes sense? he lied, changed the narrative many time and even adapt the stories of some victims to his own so it can look like he had it worse than anyone.

Swoop’s poise is absolutely admirable. I don’t know how she managed to hold herself together when he made that ridiculous statement regarding his grooming being worse than hers. The narrowing in Swoop’s eyes is a whole video on it’s own.

Not gonna lie, kinda wish Observe had also commented on Swoop. She did such a good job keeping her composure, I want to see if a body language expert could pick up discreet signs of anger or disbelief in her

@@IronWangCreateswhen I watched Swoop's video and saw her reaction to his bs, I was practically praying that he was gonna comment on her body language too when I saw that Observe covered this cause got damn!! She held her composure like the damn GOAT that she is!! Swoop is the realest, and deserves every bit of the recognition she's getting and I hope it helps spread her work far and wide so she can help more people.

I watched Swoop's whole video when it came out. I can't believe how calm and collected she can remain while Johnny continues to say things that are lies or just outrageous. Minimizing her own experiences, and downplaying things that her own fans have gone through. She is very protective over abuse victims, and his attitude towards them made her so upset. She did an amazing job, keeping him talking, while seething on the inside. She ripped him a new one in her video. I have no doubts whatsoever between Johnny and Josh, who the real monster is.

That is what interviewers are always supposed to do. To let the person interviewed talk, whether it's good or bad, judgement belongs to audience who gets to know the story, not the interviewer. Their job is not to act like parents to people they interview telling good from bad or make it about themselves or their own opinions at all.

It's funny, I didn't necessarily notice it the first time around but when you go back knowing what we know now it's very noticeable that she is exasperated, frustrated, skeptical, etc.
@@MegJuniper I know right. I don’t hit people and I’ve never even spanked my kids but his face became more and more punchable through that documentary. Especially when he said things like that his experience was worse than being SA and when he was so reluctant to take down Trisha’s photos. Ugh…. I’ve always gotten a creepy vibe and when he accidentally said Boys, I thought bingo there it is.
One thing I just realized is how he says multiple times he went to “surprise” Josh. Is it just me or does that also seem extremely weird? I feel like when people say they’re going to “surprise” someone it’s a family member they haven’t seen in a while or someone they’re really close with like a partner. A fan going to surprise someone at their job… that sounds more like stalker behavior, and I’m really not sure why anyone would appreciate that or why he thought he was blessing Josh with his presence.
This!! It reminds me of the cringe birthday drama when he made his sister dm josh guilt tripping him to make a video, and all of the fan videos kissing his ass…. I feel like we’re seeing into the ego of a stalker irl it’s crazy!! He thinks he’s so special😂

The amount of anger that Johnny holds for Josh, just because he doesn’t share the same feelings he does is REALLY scary.
Johnny* explaining how he thinks gr**ming for power is worse than for se*ual motives is awful enough, but the pointing and saying it to Swoop, when he knows that’s what she went through, just makes it 10x more disgusting. I hate watching that moment.

Watching his response to the phone number for the fourth time I finally realize how shocking and disturbing it is that he’s focused on his own career. This is not a victim who was abused and is traumatized. This is a disgruntled employee, disenchanted fan, and heartbroken adult. He is upset that Josh didn’t give him attention but is somehow wanting to fit in the the folx who were legitimately groomed when he had the opposite goal.
Johnny was motivated to fabricate stories to make himself the Main Victim ™. Adam was and is the main victim as far as the internet and media is concerned, but Johnny started one-upping to try and make himself front and Center. To make himself the face of this current controversy. He wants to be The Victim, he wants to be the one that had it worse, he wants to have everyone talk about him.
Yes, I think it was a mixture of him being promised fame and getting attention both by josh which is why he targeted him.
I think that after dropping out of HS he was just holding on to the hope josh gave him without realizing that he will be having his own stuff to worry about. He is highly miffed that nothing worked out how he wanted it to so now he is trying to take control.
And his wordings such as 'he dumped me' 'coffee date' 'dinner with family' makes it seem like he became infatuated with josh too.
That Johnnys “left at LAX” story is Adams left in Dublin by himself without parents as a child by Colleen. Where she absolutely said she was meeting him….
Everything he said made me angry but nothing made me more furious than when he said “I don’t care that he’s a victim, we aren’t talking about that story anymore” I hope he fails, I hope his life is full of minor inconveniences and he never feels fulfilled.
May he stub his toe and hit his shin on the coffee table every morning.
Someone can inform me if I am wrong but I do find it interesting that Johnny tells the story of Josh and Colleen leaving "little Johnny" stranded at LAX (while continueing with the show). Perhaps maybe Johnny wanted to draw a comparison with Adam's telling of the time he went to meet Colleen when he was young for a meal next to the hotel (can't remeber the exact specific detail) but he phrased it that he was stranded alone by Colleen after she invited him. Did not click at first when I watched swoops video because it was a lot of information at the time. Maybe someone else have notice it already...

What he needs to remember is that people aren’t inclined to feel bad for an 18 year old looking for a lift to a show he invited himself to. He tried to make it out that he was 17 at the time to make it sound worse but even then there was no formal invitation meaning the responsibility of getting to the show was his own, I don’t really see how josh or Colleen have any responsibility in this situation. The comparison to adams story was a transparent tactic which backfired because he didn’t count on any doubting his blatant lies
yep, the difference is that adam showed an entire string of messages between him and colleen proving that she actually did strand him. plus he was actually underage at the time, unlike johnny who lied about being underage
yeah I noticed. The more I think about the things he told swoop the more I feel like he was "copying" Adam's story. The whole "yeah but what happened to me is even worse" "Little Johnny" "MY interview was 6 hours long" plus the similarities between the two just made me really doubt his story, I really tried to pull it aside cause i wanted to believe him but yeah idk about that

The way Johnny characterizes certain things...
- They "encouraged" him to come to the show. Yes. Most creators would probably encourage fans to come to a show.
And the majority of fans would probably have a level head about it and take that statement at face value, and not expect
the PERFORMERS or anyone else close to the performers to pick up a fan.
- We had our coffee "date." A date? Did Josh know it was a date? I've hung out with friends 1 on 1 before and
would not call it a date. An interesting choice of words there.
I feel like either he genuinely did not understand where the parasocial relationship line with these people ended, AND/OR
he had a crush on Josh and was projecting a ton of shit onto that man. And when he finally realized, oh shit, Josh
doesn't like me that way...he lost it and has gone out of his way to slander him. "Well what did Josh do?"
Oh he had an ego...and he's not attractive, but is attractive, but has a bad personality. Mkay. I don't know
if you think you answered the question, John...but we weren't asking if he was attractive...
So many things he said in the Swoop interview are victim blame-y and disgusting. So, as butthurt as he is that
the interview painted him in a bad light...eh, he made himself look bad several times, and that would have been evident
even without Swoop's commentary.
Just as a note, the term "coffee date" is a commonly used phrase for folks getting coffee together. "Lunch date" and "dinner date" are variations of that. :)

So CLEARLY it was grooming, it couldn’t possibly be that he misinterpreted their relationship and thought the parasocial relationship was actually real. 🙄
I love how he says Swoop made him feel safe and betrayed him… he’s basically admitting she made him feel comfortable enough to show his true face. And he’s trying to make it her fault, like she did it to him by not covering up the horrible things he said.
@@doodlydungeon8576this is true, but I still think it’s meaningful that Johnny chose those words. He used finger quotes as though implying Josh used those words and it meant something important and romantic. So it’s possible Josh used it casually and Johnny is trying to make it seem sinister.

I remember stumbling on a quote in an article on the intentions of politicians which went something like: "If you want to know what someone is really like, put them on a stage and let them talk." It's quite ironic that this six hour long interview, which Johnny thought would be his entranceway to fame, was ultimately the thing that would unravel his construct of lies, half truths and leeching. Kudos to Swoop and her team for all their research, effort and bravery

He thought swoop not having a strong reaction meant he was saying the ‘right’ things to build up a positive narrative around himself. It shows how professional swoop is giving him leading questions and bringing back questions he danced around but let him say awful stuff with no very obvious reaction (especially if you haven’t watched a lot of swoop to know what her behaviors are) and so he said even more terrible stuff to her, not realizing he was digging his own grave the whole time
If swoop send you over the full 6-hour interview, I would absolutely love to watch every single hour of you reacting to that interview!!!! ❤

That would not be professional of Swoop. There was likely a ton of footage that got left on the cutting room floor.
I think watching body language experts such as yourself has hugely helped because when I first saw his interview with Swoop, I just felt an overwhelming sense that there was strong deception in it. He came off almost smug and gossipy about it all than a genuine victim who cared to share their experience to help others like the others were.
you don't need a pseudoscience "expert" to tell you when someone is smug and gossipy, you probably were just intuitive enough to pick that up by yourself
@@jules8273 Intuition definitely plays a part but I see body language deciphering more as an art form than "pseudoscience". It certainly puts what we see into a framework and perspective. It doesn't claim to be an exact science.
Anyway, I find it helpful in my business.
You probably felt weird because real victims don’t WANT to tell their story but know they must for the safety of others, and they get exhausted talking it. But Johnny wanted to talk, he was delighted to talk, he was energized the more nasty and spiteful he got to be.

You know a lot by dealing with people irl but yea. People give lots of signs in their body but also their choice of words. Sadly, a lot of people have no clue how to analyze or use critical thinking ..but it is very easy to see his lies if you know. You just didn’t learn to think for yourself and many others are the same. Emotional judgmental support is scary

Fun (read: not fun) story! I was almost exploited as a young adult by a guy a decade older than me. I was able to dodge the bullet before anything sexual happened, but I knew of others who didn't who to this day wish to keep quiet. It's been a decade since then, and he is still actively around young adults (age gap now being 20) and unfortunately, my own story is filed as "dubious but not malicious." Those unspoken stories would quickly change that perception but it would also mean revictimizing the people he has hurt by sharing their experiences without their consent. It's been difficult to keep silent while constantly worrying that doing so could implicitly help my abuser manipulate someone again, but I don't want to be yet another person who hurts his victims.
Soooo, yeah. Having Johnny co-opting people's stories because "ThEy ArE pArT Of mY sToRy nOw!!" put me through a spiral for a bit.
As a survivor of grooming and csa, it blows my mind why anyone would want to make up stories about these things. I would give everything to erase those events and all consequent issues from my life, to not carry this burden everyday is my fantasy. Johnny is a dangerous groomer and predator. I suffered limmerence whenI was in elementary school. It does seem like it went that route, kinda, there's obviously more to it lmfao. But like, this dude was attached to Josh lol. Depends on the person but sometimes some people will have extreme rejection dysphoria, but whatever snaps you out of it, it crushes their fantasy, their "safe" person/space (your persception of the person, even if it's made up. basically rose coloured glasses). So when that image is crushed they either get anxious, depressed, or uncomfortable. Some get very bitter. Some may even start to harass the person and try to take them down.
I’ve had that too and it never got anywhere near this level but even then the way my mind got so deluded about the other person was terrifying and I absolutely think that’s what happened here, the way he randomly ranted about how silly it would be for Josh to think he’d find him attractive when nobody asked, it was very telling imo

I noticed that too. When he was talking about that on other platforms I remember him specifying that josh and him had “a moment”, didn’t mention his parents being right there, and heavily implied josh manufactured an intimate moment between them

It’s interesting to see Swoop’s expressions during this interview in comparison to her other interviews. At one point she looked triggered and upset, but was trying to pull it back. Power to her, as I would have struggled to remain professional.

Josh always distant from Johnny. Josh always kept him at arms length. When Josh started to do RUclips, a couple of times you see Johnny next to him.
Conclusion : Johnny was in awe of Josh, maybe in love. But Josh never adressed him as friend, never lead Johnny on, never spoke to Johnny his personal life. Josh mostly ignored Johnny.
Josh was haunted before he wedded Colleen, even when he started as a boyfriend to Colleen. She always instigated gaslighted bullied Josh through her fans. 😢 He was always put in a corner bullied his entire relationship and after the divorce, still to this day Josh is bullied.

I think Johnny's main issue with Josh is when he came out to Josh & Josh's response was something along the lines of " Well, that really doesn't involve me"..or something like that & Johnny took it as a rejection. I think Johnny had/has a thing for Josh & since it wasn't resiprocated he became bitter & still is til this day. Josh has,from what i have seen, apologized to Johnny 4 times for things he supposedly did and all Johnny has done is go after Josh more, like apologizing 4 times isn't enough. And he joined the fandom to make friends while hiding his full identity. He didn’t get into this Colleen subculture because he enjoyed her content. It’s really weird.
