Dan Schneider created an apology video interview in regards to the accusations directed towards him from the recent Max docu-series "Quiet On Set." This is the second half of my nonverbal and body language analysis of that video.

@@elliebelliewatermellie155exactly. Already such a weird and unprofessional set across the board, but I suppose he was bro-y with the adult male cast specifically. Everyone else and even male minors who were black didn’t get the same friendly experience. Trying to diminish the kids discomfort just because, as an adult, he could consent to the risqué writing and in real time clocked the innuendos. Some of those kids only realized in hindsight the gross humour. It’s so demoralizing to a kid to feel used like that and to make them do alluded sexual bits AS A CHILD. Can’t consent. and intimidating parents and keeping them in the dark? He’s gross.
It’s just a case of an ex employee being sycophantic to their wealthy employer. Stay in his good graces and get something out of it transactionally to helping his public image. Dan got payed out with serious money and still likely gets his royalties. So he gets a payout of 7 million, on top of his other earnings and he’s likely the wealthiest guy BooG!e knows in the industry.
Money really does override everything, it seems.
I doubt if BooG!e got in hot water for something Dan would step in and try to help. He couldn’t even apologize without it being in a controlled environment, if he truly felt remorse he would have made comments for the documentary or went to these people in private.

I mean Dan is directly saying that he is totally okay with sexualizing children and that he thinks the whole system is set up to do that. None of this is true and most of it is really incriminating. If boogie had sat down and said "why did you molest kids why did you set up a situation where they were sexualized why did you do all these things that children are saying are gross" I think he would have shut down and he wouldn't have answered any of the questions. And yes it was all wrong doesn't mean that he didn't incriminate himself completely by not saying that he didn't do it. It seems like he was trying to walk himself out of a situation by saying that people were just being weird. I think that he was incredibly incriminating by not just admitting that he did everything and that it was wrong but instead trying to explain his behavior.

Observe is correct in that Brian Peck and Dan Schneider could not have operated with such freedom without corporate protection (aka follow the money). Regarding those 41 letters, possibly some of those 41 individuals were not at the sentencing. Did any of the 41 even ask why or do minimal research? I do agree that Dan Schneider did show some truthful comments, but the only conclusion I can come to is quite scary. Dan Schneider still does NOT get it, he believes that he was acting appropriately with the (tacit) permission of those who wanted maximum profits with minimal efforts. Whenever animals are on set, by law, there are independent entities present to object, to document and to end any mistreatment. Are there comparable independent entities present on set, to ensure that the humans, especially the very young ones, are given the same protection?

Two writers splitting a salary is what we call "paper teaming" in the business. Paper teaming is when you take two writers who don't normally write together as a team and cram them together for a show. I'm a WGA writer and for my first job, this happened to me. It used to be a very common practice done to minorities and women. A lot of white, male showrunners assume that the two writers in question simply aren't worth having their whole salary because they are "new to the business". In other words, they wanted two brains for the price of one. Especially when it came to non-white, non-male writers. Kids shows were notorious for paper-teaming writers but I believe it's far less common now industry-wide.

That would be called your “baseline”. Any body language expert reads your “baseline” by creating a rapport and engaging with you relaxed off camera beforehand. In Dan’s case this is easy to assess as they have so much footage of him online. Only after assessing your baseline ( your natural body language, vocal tone, speech patterns, eye patterns and all your standard normal body nuances etc.. ) can they start to observe and analyse an interview where that person is being held to a level of accountability but feels confronted. As a general rule of thumb to begin with it’s usual minimal 3 different movements or communication occurring simultaneously off their norm. Please note it’s all still speculation and there’s always other potential reasons, general confirmation bias and other factors that can contribute to misinterpreting.

Regarding Dan crying (I watched Logan's analysis and then paused before continuing), I wonder if the emotion is coming from Drake's mom's request. She may have come to him crying, or at least showed a lot of emotion and vulnerability when asking for his help. Maybe he remembers exactly how she asked or at least remembers all the feelings surrounding that event, and it may have gripped him. At times I experience the "try to hold the emotion in" before crying, but I've also experienced such a big wave that there isn't much of a tell that I will start crying soon. it just happens. Of course, I'm a completely different person from Dan and have different ways of expressing emotion, only relating to that specific part of it coming on so quickly.

Hi there! I’ve been in the entertainment industry for ten years and it is not unheard of or surprising that they paid two people with a salary meant for one person. You have to remember that these gigs are hard to come by and the entertainment industry at large relies heavily on allowing you to work and get that much closer to your dream of “making it big.” Whether that be a writer, a producer, a director, or an entertainer, all of it is predicated on the fact that if you make this sacrifice here you’ll be able to put this project on your resume and move on to bigger and better in the future. It’s not right but it is common practice. I’ve heard of internships lasting years before getting offered a position all because they desperately want to work at that studio.

I believe Dan was bothered by what happened to Drake, not necessarily because he cared, but I dont think he likes men and boys being victims. I wonder if he's actually unable to feel empathy but knows how to go through rhe motions especially for his male workers. He sees males as having inherent value and does not like seeing them abused since they are "higher up" in the social hierarchy of his mind. However, he is totally okay with making women and girls do inappropriately sexual things for his entertainment and to show his power on set. Don't forget the inappropriate behavior he had towards adult women writers/workers. Made one of them act out a sexual act while discussing an idea she had. Add to that the inappropriate clothing, lines and actions he had young girls do, seems like he has an issue against females as a whole. Not to mention the racism in the early days of All That. Black people and women are beneath him in his hierarchy.

A lot of this interview was very obviously a PR move, but I do feel like the moment of tearing up was actually genuine. Its pretty difficult to make yourself hoarse in the way that he did- it wasnt just a fake 'hoarse accent' he was putting on you could see his voice catching in real time with the emotion and that made his voice sound hoarse as he teared up a bit. I personally have the same thing happen sometimes when Im talking about something in the past that was emotional to me so i can understand that response. Its not like an overwhelming emotion that stays with you but the emotion just kind of catches in your throat a bit when you're trying to talk about it. For him not sure what about the topic itself has him SO emotional but it WAS about helping his mom write a victim impact letter (so a letter by the mother of someone who was r*ped/mol*sted) and if they were close thats a hard thing to have to deal with, he could just be upset thinking about how upset SHE was too. Sometimes seeing OTHER peoples pain can honestly be more emotional than your OWN.
