Nice video. Thanks. FYI - I watched another video and a little bit of shellac sealant was wiped on the surface first to make sure no leaks. I thought that was a good idea especially for a surface that has worn or rusted areas that could leak under the sleeve.
my god thanks for having these videos i know their was a sleeve to repair this but the was a million years ago that i did a repair but now i remember how to do it can not thank you enough . Dan
Very good video. Where did u get those sleeves. My boat trailer spindle where the seal would ride is 1/16 inch and I have checked a lot of places nobody seems to have them. Thank s
My axle looks like this and the simple is slightly bent upward. Is there a way I can straighten it and not buy a new axle or spindle ? I’m trying to avoid welding or replacing
SKF's web site isn't exactly user friendly for the layperson. None of their products are identified as "trailer spindle repair sleeve". What was the part number of the sleeve you bought? If I can find that one, I should be able to find the rest of them as well. Thanks!
wow...i literally almost bough a new axle today because the bearing seals keep leaking....thank ypu for this

Bought something similar at advanced auto parts today. Thanks for making this video!
you are my savior thx my man!!!!!!!!
Glad to see this video. Very helpful.. Just a heads up though to future viewers. These little sleeves are pricey.
expert job! how did you learn this?
For the tool, I just went to the exhaust shop where I deliver parts and borrowed a scrap piece of pipe that fit the collar on the sleeve.
Wanted to commend you on an excellent video. Great job! Thanks.

Spindles can get digs if you let rollers break up. Pulls products can rebuild low spots with a metal compound.
How do you Measure for the correct sleeve thanks John
great video!! thanks for posting
You should have also shown the grease seal fit over it
Do you have to remove that flange?
Why does the flange have to be cut off? The seal does not ride back against the axle.

How did you get the old wear sleeve off?
Where do you buy these are
Does that rear flange always have to be cut off? Is it made to break off or does it have to be folded back-and-forth until it breaks off in sections?
i think it is marked to break off with a little work
where did you buy these ? ..thnx
