Will Russia Invade The Baltics? | NowThis World

- Опубликовано: 14 фев 2018
- It's been 100 years since the Baltic states: Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, first gained their independence from imperial Russia, yet aggressions towards the region still have yet to subside. Although it's unclear whether Putin will actually challenge NATO and invade the Baltics, it is certain that tensions are still very high.

Hey everyone, Versha here. What do you think of the tension between Russia and the Baltic states - will it spill over, or are there chances for it to improve this year?
Versha Sharma idk
Versha Sharma u are awesome 😍
Ya ISIS it is also a great threat too less than north Korea and more than Indo pak war😂
I think with Trump as president and his stance on Nato has led to this anxiety of fear in the baltics state but i don't think Putin will invade the Baltic States it is to risky unless Trump makes an announcement to leave Nato or he threatens the world with nuclear weapons
lam Kupar Well the fact is that your dear leader Putin is a major threat to world peace while NATO tries to play as a mediator and a protector for the Baltics.
I'm Latvian Russian, I gonna say so if you live in Latvia learn Latvian, put some effort to learn it. If you don't like Latvia as independent country and Latvians , you can go back to Russia nobody is holding you!
You are an enlightened gentleman! If you identify as Russian and don't want to join in a free idenpendant Latvia, learn the language. The Rodina will welcome you back. Indeed!
Thats is very nice to read!
True, but why comment that here?
"Many new countries were born"...
Ekhm Lithuania is older nation than US :*
JOhn CEna I guess she meant that they were created again, not that they were newly, never seen before independent states
JOhn CEna it is not hard to be older than the us.
True
But not the Republic of Lithuania. ;)
@@roathrobin Here's the thing, In lIthuanian's case there's a clear historical precedent (Lithuanian great duchy - rulled by lithuanian ethnicity people, in Latvia's and Estonia's case, no such thing (so clearly, they were newly created in this case)
How is speaking the language of the country you are residing in discriminatory?
Eventhough I do not side with the people that call these measures racist, I do understand their point. In most western countries there are living minorities along thier borders without such procedures.
For example in northern Germany, in Schleswig, there is a Danish minority, that speaks Danish. The federal state of Schleswig-Holstein even has Danish as an official language in thier constitution. Same goes for German minorities in Alsace-Lorraine/France and the Sudetenland/Czech Republic, Austrian minorities in South Tyrol/Italy and western Hungary, and so on. Even regional languages like Occitan, Catalan, Breton, Welsh, etc, etc. are represented or at least officially recognized in thier country.
Since the Baltic states are seeking to westernize in thier politics and economy this seems to be a bit of hypocrisy in the eyes of foreigners. Especially since Russia is kind of liberal toward most of its many minorities (eventhough there a quite a few exeptions).
Maurice B Wrong and wrong. 1. You can’t compare the Danes in Schleswig-Holstein to the Russians in the Baltics and Estonia. Danes are a historical minority in this region residing in this are for hundreds of years. In the Baltic’s and especially in Estonia there were no Russians before the Soviet Union. Recognizing Russian as an official language in the Baltics would be the same as recognizing Turkish and Arabic as official languages in Germany. 2. Russia isn’t liberal to it’s minorities at all. It organizes blood baths in Chechnya and wipes its Finno-Uralic and Siberian minorities out. The only minorities they are somewhat liberal with are their Slavic ones.
@Igor Smolovski Yeah right! Russia is gravejard of finno-ugorians. Lets take Karelia, Leningrad oblast, don't even want to talk about Siberia where oil is taken from finno-ugric land.
Jens J
That’s not true Riga had a majority Russian population during the Russian Empire. The Baltic states have had a large Russian minority for hundreds of years.
@@Gamenetreviews there has never been majority Russian population before the war, check your facts. Majority of Russians now in Latvia are immigrants or offsprings of immigrants sent to Latvia by USSR without ever asking Latvians whether they want it or not. You can't compare forced immigration without giving voice to one nation with a natural immigration and long co-existing in other European nations. So Baltic states now have a difficult task to integrate all those people. Unfortunately Russia is only making things worse, because it is actively seeding distrust and suspicion. They are doing it for political gains, they don't really care about people here. If they did, they would first take care about their own citizens in their own country where there are abysmal level of poverty, corruption, alcoholism etc.
Well the Baltics are in NATO soooooo...
No
95keat Yet. But if it does, NATO will be there to fight back.
95keat It doesnt go like that. If Russian wants to invade baltics it would be easy. Nato cant defend baltics.
Kommervenkki Kommervenkki Yes it can
Kommervenkki Kommervenkki easily in fact. The russian army is big, but it's not modern or well trained.
Maarten Pennings It is modern and well trained enough.
It seems that you know alot
about this subject, so could you tell me how Nato would defend against Russia?
Do you know how many Nato troops there are in for example in Estonia? Could you tell me wich kind of weapones Nato would use to stop russians?
I'm from Lithuania and this topic always makes me so anxious because what I learned in history class, movies, books and etc. are so terrifying. Baltic countries deserve to be free and happy and it's not possible if we were in Russian hands.
Short answer: No.
Kyros Papagos. I agree
Long answer: nooooooooooooooooooooooo.
Hm what do you know it might happen but i agree with your answer
Russia lost against a bunch of skiers in Finland, they can't win against Baltics
Especially when they have the help of the US
Btw, sorry for responding really late after you posted that comment
Wow, It's already been 4 years since the annexation of Crimea.
yep, and the Crimeans probably couldn't be happier! :D
Mike Spearwood And the Ukraine is still salty af.
Mike Spearwood so funny no media in crimea reporting for the West. Luckily there's an abundance of independent reporters to show the positive changes
can't wait til Kaliningrad will pronounce it's independance
What annexation? There's no troops in Crimea! *Please don't hurt me Putin*
Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia are great independent countries that deserve to stay free and happy. Also, Latvia and Estonia did make very confusing laws about ethnic Russians, and I’m not saying I agree, but I can see were they are coming from, as Russia did send Lithuanians, Latvians and Estonians to Siberia as slaves or to torture. I just hope Russia doesn’t hurt my homeland (Lithuania) or any other Baltic or European country. Peace and unity, god bless.
Well the world isn’t all sunshine and rainbows...
Russia will 100% invade all of you. DPRK will also annex the US one week into their war
You HAVE to be joking, Russia is too weak to fight off NATO and the UN
mecha roblox they are, they couldn’t take on NATO and the EU and the UN would hate it.
Baltic King
China is all alone in a WW3 scenario. Russia be easily over powered, and by the time the communist party is dissolved, they’ll go after the rest of the communist countries like Cuba and Vietnam.
No. I saved you 6 Minutes and 46 seconds.
thanks.
Niko0902 plot twist yes
Niko0902 But I watched the video before reading the comments.
It could easily happen
Niko0902 thanks
I understand that alot of people are opposed to Nato forces in Eastern Europe. But they are in those nations for a reason, the Baltic states are understandably terrified of Russian green men crossing it's borders. You know........ after being ruled by the USSR for 6 decades.
Matt Kid Only war mongering Russia and their dogs oppose NATO. We don't have to listen to them.
Matt Kid You are everywhere.
And ruled by the Russian Empire for even longer
Matt Kid The USSR and Russian federation are different. "You are wise to remember the USSR you are a fool if you want it back." -Putin
Totally agree.
Only 2 things - 48 years not 60 under the USSR, and please kill the Cold War concept of the Eastern Europe. Most of those countries are geographically anywhere but the Eastern Europe. Thank you :)
Now do "Will Russia invade Uruguay?".

Next question:"Is America going to invade AGAIN an oilrich country and claiming it's because of the terrorists, but in real life it's for the oil?"
TFX24 well no they just make up the terrorists to do the job for them like in Syria
Venezuela is very oil rich but I don't see any American troops there. LMAO
Novocastrian Winter that would be likely
paul han I see a corrupt president and a country with hunger and huge inflations
TFX24 a president who was firm anti-US

Come on. Russia has enough land already. It's not like they are running out of living space.
Adam Banks they don't have sea acces in the winter

Adam Banks Russia doesn't want NATO at it's borders.
It's not about the land, it's about revenge for them, cause Soviet union collapsed.

Empyros will Russia invade Sealand?!??!!

Well actually that's Russia which is much closer to level of Malawi. Just check out its place in world's corruption, poverty and alcoholism indexes.

Americans: but under gadaffi the people lived in poverty
Don't worry. You're both right!
Sir McKackboon Try living under Ghadaffi's rule. You wouldn't last a day. Just because current situation of Libya is bad, doesn't make the former regime any better.
paul han But it was far better.
It was actually decent
paul han under gadaffi the nafri(arabic) people had a relatively high living standard. Especially young families.
"Invaded and annexed crimea." Oh boy that sentence is a literal powder keg nowdays.
If the ethnic Russians in the Baltic states feel as a second-class, first step should be taken my Baltic governments in order to prevent Russian intervention. Recognize the Russian language, give them opportunity to become a citizen. Because, Latvia and Estonia are the homeland of these Russians. And this discrimination policy helps Russian government to use ethnic Russians more flexible
Waiting for the Putin bots
Sure , all the people on the Internet are Putin bots
Michael Clasby is it ok for me to scrutinise my own side mike? I am not fussed about Russia, if my side are up to no good I care, but hey mate if you want to war it out with Russia for kicks then go for it mate!

Will Texas invade California😂😂😂
reincarnation of Kurt Cobain Yes, please! As a Californian, I am done with liberals ruining my state. Please bring conservativism as you go.
Jerry Gaming Then leave. No one is forcing you to stay in California. If you think the grass is so much greener on the other side then go to the other side. Also, I am disturbed that Conservatives think that the best answer to everything is a show of force.
They don't even share a border
klutz395 Texas will take other states😂😂
Nathaniel Hellman The democrats in Cali aren't even economically liberal. They're conservative on economic policy promoting crony capitalism.
Russian in Estonia here. No Russian aggression.
A country should be able to place their defense wherever they want.
NATO flexed it's attacking muscles near the Russian boarder and that's tottaly acceptable while Russia upgrades it's defences and that's considered as an act of aggression.
Westerners are very weird.
Your comment aged like milk.
Before you hate any country, just research little bit and make your judgement.
I mean in general view. Not in this particular video. Western media and channel mostly emphasized and prioritized themselves. I comment this coz. I can fell it.

Dont worry baltic brothers i am sure we are srong enough to defend against russia
of course russia will not invade the baltics, this is just fearmongering hahahaha
Stevio Gaming Just Like Crimea and Ukraine?
Crimea and Ukraine rly xDDD Crimea is in Ukraine and just for you to know Ukraine is not in NATO, Putin is not that dumb to start a war with NATO. Crimea was just a luck for him that there has been a tension between pro-russians and pro-ukrainians and so he used of this to gain a harbor that is usefull the whole year. Unlike the others that are NATO controlled and frozen in winter that is.
As a Russian, these propaganda videos are funny to me.
People, Putin ain't crazy, he will not invade the Baltics
Putins smarter than to invade a nato member
Yeah ... the moment when I heard that they are in NATO I already knew the answer

Thank you for your intelligent summary and comments about the tensions between Russia and the Baltic States. Wish the best for the Baltic Countries in their Economic and Political future and that Russia will leave them alone. We here in the United States fully support their Independence.
Russia tryin to be USSR again
nah Russians are more religious than you would think
oh, Russia will cry about its Russian minority in the Baltics, but is fine with discrimination and forced assimilation of its own minorities. Hypocrisy much?
Russia is not going to invade the baltics then they would be in war with the nato, a much stronger power!!!
TFX24
I'm not so sure about that, NATO being much stronger, stronger, but Russia is increasingly able to handle itself.
Novocastrian Winter in 2024 all countries of the nato must spend 2% of their bbp, so they will increase their power too
In NATO agreement says they MAY join a war in defence of a country
greekmarine Idk what you mean but I assume you are saying that a NATO member dosent have to join a defensive war with a fellow member which is false because NATO is a defense organization and attack on one of the countries is a attack on them all
MARGIRIS1 Its on the official terms of NATO.Also do you really think america and others will sacrifice millions of lives just for a small nation of baltic with 1 million population If attacked by russia?
Bears on Unicycles and Vodka
as a Polish i consider west as bigger threat to our culture and independence
NATO will be too scared to defend the Baltics.
"Imperial Russia" 🤣 look im no Russian nor I like Russians, it's just irony, typical American propaganda. I think we all know who is the Imperialist here. "America"
I am an ethnical Russian from Latvia, and in my hometown we've been discriminated for ages. Here are a few examples. 2 of my friends were walking and talking Russian, and because of that, they have been threatened to get beat up, if they don't speak Latvian. My grandma could't handle the discrimination anymore, which lead her to move to another town with the majority of the population being Russian. My cousin got in countless fights, started by Latvians discriminating him.
NATO hasn't really done much good in Latvia either. We see NATO soldiers litter on the streets, driving with high speeds on roads, fight other people etc. usually their excuse for these acts, is that they defend our country, so we should be grateful.
Since the Soviet union fell and left the Baltic states, ethnical Russians have been discriminated upon, with no the opportunity to leave the country, since the government won't let them.
actually Russia came under fire from Georgia...so might wanna check the facts on that one
Hi from Lithuania.
What's with the wrong coat of arms? Those shown are of the capital cities not countries.
Great video! Please do more videos about this region of Europe! :-)
Oh Russia definetly wants its empire back. Under the cover of protection, glory and unification of the russian people, it will go to any lengths.
Its scary when you think about it, that Peter the Great wanted to conquer as far as Mecklenburg in Germany
yep, Uncle Vlad's coming to get ya. It's funny how you don't mention all the European nations that invaded Russia over the years!
Yep, Russia has been invaded so many times in it's history by different countries and empires. Russia literally originated from a Mongol invasion. But you know, it's Russia who's the war-mongering country that wants to take over the world. :/
Mike Spearwood They have either all fallen or been remade into good and peaceful nations. Russia hasn't. Its the bad guy. And grows ever stronger...
It's rare to get all the details right! Thank you!
So old....the worlds moved on. Russia has every right to defend itself from USA threats

About the citizenship: When Estonia regained independence, people who's parents, grandparents or themselves had been Estonian citizens prior to occupation got citizenship automatically (including ethnic Russians, Jews etc). Those who were brought in touring occupation (basically as colonists) and didn't want to leave had to apply for citizenship. Proportionally a large part of them were ethnic Russians, though there were significant number of Ukrainians and Belorussians and small number of other ethnic groups from the former SU.
Indonesia has 240,1 million people russia has 143,2 million people
Look at the world map with military bases on them then you will see the difference between Russia and America
Yeah, you can see that No body wants to have a Russian Base on them nor can Russia afford them.
This isn't about Russia vs America!
This is about a group of countries being threathened by Russia - and yes, it also has to do with military acces!
Russia wanted to regain military acces to the Black Sea so they invaded and annexed Crimea!
Russia wanted to secure its military installations and naval station in the Mediteranian so they got involved in the war in Syria!
Russia want to retake the Baltic States to secure acces to the Baltic region and make the oblast of Kaliningrad landlocked with the rest of Russia!
You mean Georgia attacked and commited Genocide against Ossetian civilians and then attacked Russian Peacekeepers.
Russian peacekeepers? Sounds like an oxymoron

Russia had the right to invade georgia, it was protecting abkhazia and south ossetia. Russia also annexed crimea because the people of crimea felt more russian than ukranian
Brainwashed. Like North Korean.
The part about crimea being inclined to russia is true, look it up they voted at least twice for some level of autonomy from Ukraine. The thing is their identity wasn't the reason for invasion. The reason was that russia kept its fleet in Crimea.
Lithuanian has been a country for 1000 years its was never born it was re-born and are brothers will all ways know this and we will stand and fight alongside each other
Russia has learned its lessons
-They can`t wait to redirect all of the Baltic Transit to its own newly built ports... the transit which made single greatest contribution to economic growth of so called Baltic Tigers. ( some 20% of their total GDP)
-They can`t wait to see EU financial support program stopped..
-They watch as Baltic States DEPOPULATE at staggering rates.
-They enjoy finding out EU support is spent on building hi-end gyms in villages no longer inhabited .
-They rejoice at the thought of Soviet built industries withering away as part of EU deal.
-They are curious how all of the above factors will work together with ever increasing energy costs and Russian sanctions on their agricultural and food exports.
Russia won't invade the Baltic States as they have no intention of supporting the population.
Hello there fellow Russian! I'm here to break these points for you:
"-They can`t wait to redirect all of the Baltic Transit to its own newly built ports... the transit which made single greatest contribution to economic growth of so called Baltic Tigers."
That is not really true - Baltics got this title once they decided to shift their exports to Western Europe, which really worked. The gas transit did contribute to their economies, I do agree with that.
"-They can`t wait to see EU financial support program stopped.."
It won't be stopped, but rather the amount of money they receive will be decreased.
"-They watch as Baltic States DEPOPULATE at staggering rates."
I can tell the same about Russia, Bulgaria, Moldova or any other ex-Warsaw Pact member country. According to some studies, immigrants from all over the world are getting back already.
"-They enjoy finding out EU support is spent on building hi-end gyms in villages no longer inhabited ."
I don't know where you got this, but once again, it's not true. The amount of people living in villages has been on a decline since early 2000's. They use those funds to build roads, rebuild parks, buildings etc.
I would write more, but I'm a little tired. You shouldn't be surprised why Baltics are so scared of Russia - throughout their history, they only had bad experience with them. We do not hate Russians, just Kremlin. Russians in my area are a little loud, but by all means, I do not hate them - they're quite warm and nice people. You would be surprised to hear that Polish is the biggest majority in my country, not Russians :)
Greetings from Litauen!
Make a video on the economic history of world.
That would just be a stupid idea
I could have sworn the Baltic States acquired their independence in 1990, which was only 28 years ago, not 100.
1991*
😉
Could you make a video on the Balkans as well, where you talk not only about former Yugoslavia but also the other nations on the peninsula?
Why start history there? Why not the Polish/Lithuanian Empires annexation of Russian land?
Which Russian lands? There was no homogeneous Russian state at the time. At the beginning of Rzeczpospolita Moscow and Kiev were two different slavic institutions. When Lithuania emerged, Moscow did the same on the account of smaller states.
Will Estonia join Finland???
No lol.

i am lithuanian and i think russia is a good economic friend, but otherwise it is controversial
marius754 I'm Latvian but I don't want to see American troops in the country
olegmark Another Latvian here, I really do want full cooperation with Russia and that latvians and russians should be friendly, but I do think that we should have NATO troops stationed here since, well, one should learn from history...
Kārlis Kokorevičs History is history, you don't complain about Germany that murdered Latvian Jews. Myself I would not like them there, and if Russia and Latvia cooperate and have better relations, there would be no need for them
I am an Estonian and although I completely agree that NATO troops should be stationed in the country, I believe that the extend of military exercising we have is kind of "poking a bear with a stick". If we are really afraid of Russian intervention we should kind of try to keep things smooth and stop increasing the tensions with massive hysteria, cause you know article number 5 is a really cool thing to have, but I really doubt that other NATO countries would really care that much about Baltics...
MrSujg You see if the Baltic states improve relations with Russia, there would be no need for Nato troops.
Invite Russia to join Nato. problem solved.
Dracomet they don't want to anymore. They'd rather create their own Eurasian Union and become independent and self sufficient from the west
The Russians?
Yeah
Why would Russia want to become a slave to the West, especially america.
Vlad Ask Xenia Sobtchak
Lithuanian here, you really over-dramatize the whole "there are ethnic russians in the baltics and tensions are so high!"
Truth is, at least here in lithuania, russians are a small minority and pose no realistic threat from within and there are no systemic clashes between lithuanians or russians happening. Russian government itself is naturally trying to use the minorities as leverage and pretext to put their nose in everything. In some cases they use this pretext to invade, but the Baltic countries are seeing that from miles away, that's why they join NATO and actively whistle-blow on Russias agression. I feel like part of the whole culture here is shifting towards being a guard at the gates of europe. People were really messed up by those consecutive occupations...
I am from Latvia and i really hope Putin will change his mind because our small countries have big problems without him
Russia would start war with not just the EU but also with the NATO. Russia in all it's might, can not win a conventional war against all three. The result would be an open use of nuclear weapons and therefore nobody would win.
Even when Russian seperatists would start something, Russia would do nothing, because those three are NATO countries.
Also Russia involves itself only in areas around the black sea and Crimea. Leave the black sea alone and Russia won't do anything.
Even if in some outlandish scenario neither side uses tactical nukes, Russia would still lose. They wouldn't stand a chance against a NATO force at all and their allies are either weak or unwilling to back them in an offensive invasion.
marvelfannumber1 it would be a long stalemate without both sides really invading each other. Until Russia would wait out it's winter, but the NATO would use it's airforce and drones to destroy Russias infrastructure. All it's ressources wouldn't help them, If they have nothing to get to them and there big numbers wouldn't help them without weapons and moral.
China would not involve itself in such a war. Not with a newly militarizing Japan, Taiwan, Southkorea and the other Asian states and India against them. Also China would loose any economical gain in a pointless war and would fall into a civil war thanks to more liberal influence from Hongkong.
There is no gain from war. For no one, because the US had to deal with a new inflation, world economics pretty much ends, the middle east would tare each other apart even more than now and the EU had to rebuild almost every country in the east of Germany and handle the refugees. Hundreds of little wars would start after it. Over the whole world. Three generations later we would still clean up that mess. Think about it! We are still cleaning up messes that originated in the first world war.
+D.M.S.
True, contrary to popular belief a full-on war between countries would be a massive ecnomic drain on everyone and give more disadvantages than advatages. Still, Russia would probably lose if we hypothetically leave out nukes. They simply don't have the resources, diplomacy, population or geography to allow them to successfully push back all of NATO, let alone invade NATO countries. Russia isn't the Soviet Union anymore, they can't compete with NATO at all, which is exactly why the Russian strategy has consistently been to weaken NATO from the inside, because they know they can't beat them in an all out conflict.
D.M.S.
sorry mate but it is the Eu who are the aggressor I mean have you seen any of that Verhofstadts speeches recently?
Novocastrian Winter it isn't like the EU forces the countries to join. Every nation should be allowed to choose for themself.
Also Russia wants the EU as a Businesspartner, they just don't want the NATO
Why would they ever risk war against nato that would overpower them?
Mlg Sty Dont forget russia have many powerful allies like China and India
Russia alone can wip out the whole of NATO if America don't help them!
Wake up boys, you're dreaming!! Russia cannot defeat an alliance of 29 nations.
Except that NATO won´t fight an all-out war with Russia for defending 3 small countries.
Sprint Right Option Do know what NATO is? It is a organization that was mainly made to deffend Europe against soviet aggression and if one of the countries get attacked NATO has to join in basically an attack on one of them is an attack on all
There's literally no reason Russia would just attack, this is just more double standards
Why is it always Russian aggression? All of a sudden Russia has thousands of US troops near its border. With thousand of military bases, isn't it time to view this objectively and not only talk about Russian or Chinese aggression, but also about American aggression.
You forgot to mention that they are all part of the eu
Sean Barry true but most EU country's are not ready for war and some like my Ireland have a Neutrality policy so yea your on your own on this one but tbh er wouldn't be any use in a war anyway
I am sorry but EU is German Caliphate soooo am not so sure of that.
what!? what's next? "will Russia invade Alaska?"
yep, Uncle Vlad and the russkies are coming to get ya!
Alaska is a russian land, it was borrowed by america only for 100 years and that period already passed, so americans have no right to live there, and hopefully Putin will return it
Same as kaliningrad.
Russia will invade New Zeland, Mars and Narnia next. Everyone should be scared.
Parabalani It wasn't borrowed, the United States payed money to Russia in 1868 and bought it and made it a US territory.
Lithuania has a long history, we weren't a "new country" in 1918.
she means independent not recorded history but i see ur point
As a Latvian Political Science student I would say this: invade - probably not. NATO has invested enough resources in signalling to Russia that it will not take an all-out assault lying down. As in, that if Russia attacks, the entire force of NATO will be behind the Baltic countries. However, you don't need to create an all out assault to destabilize the country. There are propaganda and disinformation options, targeting not only Latvia's ethnic Russians, but also nationalist Latvians, creating an increased sense of insecurity and tension. Secure and stable Baltic states are not in Putin's best interests. When these countries are insecure, with an increasing political standoff between the ethnic Russians and nationalists (who Putin portrays as fascists, playing on historical trauma from WW2) then Putin can portray himself as a defender of ethnic Russians and rally the nation around common enemies. And that is tremendously useful to Putin, whose grip on power in Russia has been loosening due to sanctions, human rights abuses etc. Basically, as long as Putin can maintain his strongman stance he has a better chance of maintaining the sympathies of the Russian people and staying in power. That's my opinion.
RUSSIA LEAVE US ALONE. WE WANT TO BE LEFT ALONE.
Marchosias Aoi lol, We dont want your land
Stay alone baby as you wish, russia Will allowed it. Relax.
Al Hagen Your sentence made no sense.
Marchosias Aoi I think the same about your histeria for russia!!!
Al Hagen Says the one who probably learns fake russian history.
Why do almost all of these American women presenters voices crack on the last word of a sentence?
It was only Latvia’s 100 birthday and LATVIA, ESTONIA AND LITHUANIA IS MUCH MUCH OLDER THAN US!
No they won’t because Russia already has a sea port on the Baltic Sea that is farther south then the Baltic States
Matthew Belamont Reaching Kaliningrad by land could be a plausible reason
Please do a video on "War in Iraq" by the U.S and U.S's interest in that region.....
You are about a year too early
The thousands of NATO troops on the border of Russia doesn't really help ease the tension :/ (not saying it's not Russia's fault but the Western aggression is certainly not helping. )
Keetoh Sil The invasion of Transinistria, Crimea, Donbass, abkhazia and South ossentia doesnt really help ease the tension!
fabioshire97 yes that's true, but the so called "peace making" countries piling troops on the border isn't going to stop the aggression. If anything it seems to be backing them( Russia ) in to a corner, where it's easier to justify war and violence.
russia placing an army several times the size of the nato forces on the border doesn't help ease tensions either if russia truly wanted peace they would demobilize their forces on the balitc border instead they continually build it up
John Smith first of, the buildup of NATO soldiers is far larger, and with way more countries backing it. Sure Russia doesn't want peace but we aren't gonna force them in to peace by further mobilization. It's gonna corner them and make them fight or flight.
russia was the first initializer they started the buildup on the border and at present keep an army several times larger then the nato forces on the border this is not an equal response to western aggression but a clear flexing of military might to try and provoke nato
As a Lithuanian man, I personally have no coral with Russia, they are not that stupid, if they were they would have lost in Donbas by now
We're they really "Occupied" by the Germans though? I mean I've seen whole things on here about Lithuania having volunteer SS Battalions and pretty much fought the Soviets didn't they?
As a Latvian, I agree, I maybe be a discriminator, but it is for a reason, I hate them, they sent our people to Siberia, but we are nervous, and the russians in our country think their life sucks but we etnic Latvians have TO KNOW RUSSIAN TO GET A DECENT JOB, I am not joking at all, everything here is made for their welfare and the mayor of our capital is a russian, so not a good sign
Are you 10?
Empyros why would you say so?
1. It wasn't just "your" people, a lot of people from Russia itself were sent to Siberia, including my grandad who was Ukranian. It wasn't Russia who was sending "your people" to Siberia, but the USSR. The days of the USSR are long gone. It's like still blaming modern Germany for WW2.
And yes, you do have to know Russian to get a decent job. Latvia is not alone and many countries in the former USSR do. Let's not play the victim game and pretend that Latvia is the only victim here. A lot of people are, and you can't do anything about it.
I'm form LV too and I agree. I hate russians who live here they whole lifes, but can't learn latvian language, I know people who live here few years from EU and they have better language skills than russians and they are happy to learn something new. It is disgusting that russians are saying they are mistreated/oppressed here, RussiaToday has "informative news story" about this issue. They have fu*king schools here where they can learn in russian! Most
of Russians in LV are degenerates.
Empyros you know I am talking about the Latvians exactly, that were sent in massive numbers in 1941 and 1949
Isn't it up to Baltic states to decide if they wanted to join NATO or not? What right does Russia has in this respect?
Fobus In the dark not everyone is treated equally in the realm of geopolitics.
Hush with your logic.
Don't poke the Russian bear with a stick guys ! :v
I literally just finished an essay about that topic half an hour ago 😅
Of course Russian bots are going to dislike this video. Nothing she's said was wrong.
It was wrong and biased
She left why Russia got involved in Ukraine and Georgia. Both times Russia protected her allies.
Crimea voted to join Russia
