Should probably invest in some weights so that I no longer have to resort to using a pumpkin. While festive, it isn't challenging and offers considerable more mess if dropped.
+VivianDarkblooom lmbo!! you may be more of a cheapskate than i am...i used canned tomatoes for weights until my daughter bought me real ones for Christmas! hahaha or maybe we just have more ingenuity than others;)
P.S. If you do this first thing in the morning, I highly recommend doing some more body weight movements/a longer warm up before jumping into this to get the most out of it. I did extra ski/wide/regular/sumo squats, lunges and standing inside/outside leg lifts after Kelli's warm up. It really helps you with being able to target a specific muscle during strength training (like the glutes) if you've practiced targeting/squeezing with bodyweight a lot first. Plus, it helps those knees get extra warm so you can get maximum range of motion on those squats! (just my own experience - the longer warm up I do, the longer I'm able to make it through a workout and the heavier I'm able to lift. Do not underestimate the power of a good warm up! I used to) How do you always look so good while working out Kelli?! Superwoman!

I love this workout, and here is why it is my go-to lower body strength training workout: In Oct 2014, I accidentally sprained my left ankle. MRIs revealed there were inflamed ligaments, but the ankle never healed properly, and I couldn't afford PT after a while. When I first started working out with FB in Feb 2015, this wasn't an issue, as I was a complete novice. However, as I've gotten much stronger, I've seen that my left leg responds differently to exercises than my right leg because of the perpetually sprained ankle. This has made unilateral, lower body strength workouts extremely important for me. There are other unilateral leg videos on FB, but this is by far the best one for getting the most challenging workout possible. When I first tried this workout, I was sore for a week. Today was my third time doing it. I not only upped each weight I lifted by 3 lbs per hand (6 lbs total), but I did 10 reps instead of 8 per set. It took over an hour to complete, but it was so worth it to really be able to focus and engage each individual muscle in each individual leg--despite my weak ankle. I post this (long, TMI) comment in the hopes that my story will help others who are considering doing this workout and who may be in a similar situation. OMG I literally just did this whole thing without ANY BREAKS OR PAUSING!! That is huge for me because I usually always pause and rest my legs if I feel them burning too much.. and also I did a very hard cardio workout yesterday so I thought today I would do half assed omgg!! :D :D -dances- I love you Fitness Blenderrrr!

I have done this workout a long time ago with just 3 kg and it was killing me . Today I came back and did this with 13 kg !! And it was absolutely amazing. This workout is one of my favorites legs workout ever . Happy!!!!

I've followed this session a few times but yesterday, for the first time, I completed it wearing a weighted vest as well as using the dumbbells. The difference it made to the engagement of my core and muscles around the hip girdle was quite astonishing
I recently incorporated this routine "as is" into my leg day, using two 10kg dumbbells. It does the trick! Love the all the balance/one-legged moves mixed in with the traditional squat/lunge/deadlift moves. You definitely feel this even if you are not a beginner. Thanks so much!

yeii...i did this with ankle wieghts (1.5 kg),with weighs all the time and 4 reps for every one of it....i am shaking ,sweating and hard breathing....but HAPPY...i had comed so far thanks to you guys...love you

Tough lower body routine if you're lifting heavy enough! Had to drop my weights on the squat/reverse lunges. Wasn't super sweaty by the end, but definitely super tired. Felt pretty sore when I woke up today, but in a good way!

Goes great with one or both stepaerobic videos. Bump up the cardio to start. With clean and presses at end keeps consistent cardio throughout the intense lower body weight building focus.

workout complete! I decided to switch it up at the end of this workout and replaced the last reps with double pulse squats into curtsy lunges. Feel the burnnnnnn
Hi Kellie, I have not been having the best experience doing dead lifts. specifically the ones where both feet are planted on the ground. I've been having lots of pain in my tailbone area after doing them ( days later). I decreased the weight to see if this would help, and after the workout the pain is there again. I'm thinking that the single leg ones would be better as I used to do these in the gym years ago without pain. Your thoughts? Thank you for all that you and your hubby do. You both are very personable, authentic, have beautiful spirits.😊

Yeeess! More like this please. I always add some resistance band and ankle weight work at the end, could you PLEASE do some as I prefer following one of your workouts rather than making up my own!
I didn't have a good sized box/table to use for the stand up exercises, so I did squats plus leg lifts or squat jumps during those parts! I feel like I got a great workout :)

But definitely my butt is higher and higher! :-))) and I have been working out for long time... but your workouts are always the best guys, that's it! Just a little thing I don't understand, during the very last exercise I cannot really feel the effort on my muscles. any advice? I am a little scared to increase too much weight with my right shoulder because I had some issues with it. or maybe I just do something wrong ! Any advice appreciated... a lot of love to you guys, forever grateful

Those squat/lunge combos...you know it's going to get truly brutal when even Kelli is hesitant to move on to another set of them!
