    Great video, but I was hoping to see exactly what happens when the computer is "up and running." What will be showing on the monitor? What will I do at this point regarding icons that stay on my screen? where does anti-virus come in? Where does "Office" come in? What else do I do?? Hopefully I can find another video showing all this stuff.

    • @JJFlores197
      @JJFlores197 3 месяца назад

      When you power on the computer, you usually see the manufacturer's logo and then the operating system (like Windows) loads. As for antivirus, Windows already has one built-in called Microsoft Defender. Office is not included in Windows so you'll need to purchase it separately from Microsoft. Some manufacturers add a free trial for Office.

      @@JJFlores197 Thank you, I appreciate the help. But I still don't know what to do about icons on my screen and the little ones on the bottom of the task bar (is that what it's called?). I don't know how they get there and/or how to get rid of them. And there's issues of even GETTING a shortcut on the screen. I.E., there are NUMEROUS unanswered questions to get a new computer up and running. So I'm hoping to find a video that addresses all of these issues. But, again, thank you!

    Also I’m confused because when I plug the mouse into any of the usb ports the mouse lights up, but it will not move the cursor?

    • @JJFlores197
      @JJFlores197 10 месяцев назад

      Any standard network cable you find will be more than adequate. There's no need for CAT7/CAT8 unless you're using multi-gigabit speeds which the vast majority of computer users will never use.

      Can you confirm the cable is securely plugged in on both ends? Sometimes reseating them at both ends can help. Do you have another computer to test the cable with? Are you connecting a 2nd monitor to your computer or is this the only one you're connecting? And what's the computer model number?

    My computer says no signal

    • @JJFlores197
      @JJFlores197 Год назад

      Make sure the video cable is plugged in securely on both ends: on the monitor and on the computer's video port. If your computer has a dedicated graphics card, make sure you plug the video cable into the card's video port instead of the motherboard's video output. Also, make sure your monitor is on the correct input. On monitors that have multi inputs, it is possible to sometimes inadvertently change inputs. Most should auto switch when you plug in a video cable or it receives a video signal, but some may not have that feature or it may be disabled.

    He's had the back off the PC 4-5 times trying to figure out WHERE this black panel (with a bunch of holes in it, it looks like a grate, etc) goes.
