My main buying point is optical switches. It's nice knowing that the switch is going to last longer than every other part of the mouse, never have to worry about double clicking. Right now still using the Viper Mini, hoping they offer a midrange wireless model soon. I highly recommend not running Razer Synapse on your computer.
yh Im currently on Viper v2 pro cos of the optical switch, the shape is not perfect for me and is too flat but after adjusting to it, it's still a very good mouse. I do want to try logitech's offerings but so far they already upgraded to optical switch on a few mice. And what about synapse that make you recommend not running it? I have no issue running it so far.
@@drizzlydr4ke hoping I think i will try to be patient and wait for optical switch upgrade to hopefully come out soon for the g pro, Ive had terrible experiences with logitech's switches.
I prefer the dav3 shape to all others. I used the superlight before and after switching to the more comfortable (to me) shape of the razer I can't go back. Glad to see more reviews from ya.
@@RocketJumpNinja Hey man, using the DeathAdder V3 Pro Wireless in Fortnite I noticed that there is more delay using it wireless(1000hz regular dongle) vs using it wired USB Type C.
@RamonScott777 really? I'll have to check it out, I didn't notice any. What DPI were you on? And how did you have the dongle plugged in? Was it in the PC directly or with the adapter?
I've had the MZ1wireless for a few months now and it's by far the best mouse I've bought. My rank in Overwatch is pushing into Plat and now solid diamond. Thank you for what you do! You have always been my go to when buying a mouse!
I cannot wait for the viper v2 review, i might drop a comment how this mouse, despite my struggle with my previous first gaming mouse(the fk1+ coming from a 19/9cm hand player) really made me tame the ambi shape further and managed to improved since then, once the vid drops and good you see you back, Zy, we missed you :)
Can confirm that Zy's size/grip recommendations are accurate. I'm 21.5x11cm and this mouse fits perfectly. I do still prefer ambidextrous over ergo for aiming though. My top shapes are the Vaxee XE wireless, ROG Harpe Ace, Darmoshark M3 for L/XL size. Viper V2 pro as well with the right grips. I have yet to test Zy's rail at my hand size but I think I might have to in the very near future.
@@TinmanFPS I used to play that when I was a kid but can’t anymore for some reason my hand start to hurt like hell. I’m guessing you are a casual player that don’t play very serious or mouse dependent games? I play only apex high elo ranked so it’s very important :/
After a long time with the dav3 I can say that I would love for three things to be different: - More forward sensor position (not much just 0,5-0,7cm) - I changed my grip into more of a claw grip, and I keep noticing, that it is hard for me to grip the mouse with my pinky finger. I wish it flared in a bit more likt the older deathadders. - the older lower front of the buttons allowed me for a more secure / snug grip. Yes that encourages people to palm grip, but I found it a lot more comfortable, maybe a middleground would be the way to go.
A crazy thing you could do would be opening the mouse and putting 5% of weight on the back half of it the amount you want the sensor the be further in the front
I was using Glorious Model O for around 3 years, and lately have been getting some wrist pain due to how it is in the middle of being not large enough for me to comfortably grip it in palm, and not small enough for claw/ftip. I was given a Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 at work and noticed that I had much less strain on my wrist with that mouse. After release of DAv3 I've initially liked the shape due to similarity and latest tech. Since grabbing it, I can use it for longer and also have improved my aim since I'm now more comfortable using that mouse and don't think about how I have to grip the mouse all the time. Right now I have something in between of claw and palm - my fingers curl up a bit, but rest of my hand is rested on the back of the mouse. With balanced/speed pad (AC+) I feel like this is the best setup for me rn
Been using DeathAdders since forever. Nice to see them improving and getting on top of the game once again. When my current one finally dies seems like a nice update.
I just got the DAv3 wired and I gotta say I fell in love with it the moment I put it in my hand and started using it. The mouse shape is PERFECT. I love it to death. You can move this mouse around so easily compared to my last mouse the SS Rival 310. It feels really good going back to the Deathadder. I haven't owned one in a few years. This mouse is built so well. Ohh I am using 1600 dpi...... There is a big latency difference from 800 and you just divide your sens in half.
I totally do NOT agree with your "I would rather playing at 60hz than playing on a heavy mouse". I agree it is important but nothing to me is more important than playing at AT LEAST 144hz and fps
I do pretty well on 60hz, hit a lot of mid air rockets. Can't say the same for a 500g mouse. But the point in the video was just about striking a balance of features, not actually choosing, as it's pretty easy to get a light mouse and 240hz monitor these days.
Deathadder v3 pro with 8k dongle is a beast. Its my favourite mouse and with the smooth touch it sticks to your hand. I changed the skates to tiger ice and its better but original states are good too.
I like the v3 but the front is too high for me.. precission Seems to be less with that. But higher button height gives more stability in movement( cleaner and more straighter lines) So something in the middle seems to be perfect for me
Welcome back! After a generally meh experience with the DV2 Pro (mostly because the price definitely doesn't match the build quality and the synapse experience) I am on the lookout for another wireless ergo mouse without holes that isn't Razer or Glorious (or g502 shape). Hopefully some show up on your channel and site in the future.
yes, the mamba elite is a very good shape, even better than EC-1, old deathadders e.t.c because the mamba elite has less nuanced curves, more confident slopes. the ec1, DA dont need to be that long in length, the mamba elite proves that by having a better elevating feel that hooks your fingers more therefore not having to flay them out to reach the best click area with finger
I use the wired at 4K hz because of the price, not gonna pay 2x for wireless + dongle. All in all, the wired version comes out on top for me because of the price to performance ratio.
I was excited about the DA V3 non-pro as well, not because of the 8k polling but because of the shape. If there was a DA V3 Mini pro/non-pro, that's probably what I would try next since my main now is a Keris Aimpoint wireless which falls into the small ergo mouse category from my previous Lamzu OG, and I totally agree with RJN when he says going smaller is better. The Pulesfire Haste 2 wired also has 8k polling. I hope RJN reviews that next.
Yeah but ultrawide or 16:9? Because this is 21:9, made for ultrawides. If you watch it on a 21:9 monitor, it'll fill the screen in full screen! But great to hear if it's still looking good on 16:9, I was a bit worried it wouldn't.
@@RocketJumpNinja It does look nice and cinematic on 16:9 but I had to zoom in a bit on some stuff like text (your website, prosettings, razer software part, etc). Maybe you could do some editing magic on small text based stuff.
@@RocketJumpNinja 16:9 ratio my bad. I liked it though looks very cinematic. I also have 27" monitor, but maybe ppl viewing on a smaller, 1080p monitor could have issues. Maybe you can poll this and find out.
Been my main for a month now and I'm loving it! Been looking for mice that would replace that my existential love for the mx518 and this just about done it.
I wonder when Razer is going to update their Orochi. Actually I use V2 now and I think this is the best size and shape for me. By your encouragement I've switched Steelseries Prime Wirless to G305, and then I've tried Orochi V2. I was comparing Orochi vs G305, despite your opnion that Logi has better shape, I've found that Razer suits me more. It feels more stable and confident in my hand than G305. Maybe that's because of my hand ratio - 17:9,5cm, which is more similar to orochi v2 ratio 🤔
The huge $200-300 range for the top end of wireless mice makes them cost prohibitive for a lot of gamers. Could you consider doing a 'budget wireless' roundup video?
@@RocketJumpNinja I am happy to see a new mouse review, I thought I we would never have those from you anymore so it is a great surprise lol. You should already be aware of all of the models going around, but the Pulsar, Lamzu and GWolves mice are all great. As for super budget but still good options, the Darmoshark M3 and the Ajazz 199 are great picks. Both have top sensors and, if you reduce the debouncing time on the software, great performance as well. The Darmoshark has the same shape as the Finalmouse air 58, and although the Ajazz I got looks like the Superlight, is more similar to the viper mini, but with a better and fuller shape in my honest opinion. Both should be avaliable on Ali (although the Ajazz is out of stock atm), and the Darmoshark is on Mechkeys. Darmoshark will release a mini version of the M3, and they are also planning on a mouse that looks similar to the mm710.
Dav3 wireless with 4k here. 1) dont want to go back to 1k. 4k feels fanstastic paired with 240hz monitor 2) im usually a palm gripper, but I go into fingertip gradually and it feels good like its natural 3) I really wish the clicks were a bit quieter. I switch to my superlight at night time just because the clicks are too loud, but they are satisfying. Would of been a perfect mouse for me if the clicks were quieter and lighter just my preference and opinion. 4) 4k drains battery almost a bajillion times faster! Went from charging once a week to charging once maybe every other day. (Heavy usage) maybe can last 3 or more days if not heavy user.
Been using the DA for the majority of my gaming life, the same shape is just awesome for me, the V2 was ~30EUR in a gaming shop, so I snagged 2 and I'm all set.
recently started using deathadder v3 pro with standard 1000Hz, with 6400DPI - 0.75 in game sens Overwatch 2 and 3/11 windows mouse speed (it equals to 0.25x which is 1600 and only affects cursor movement and not raw input for games that use raw input, so i can use the equivalent of 1600DPI for desktop use and Overwatch 2 in game cursor), it feels super smooth and responsive, amazing ergo mouse
I've tried and owned many many mice, wierdly enough I aim my best with the dav3 even though I fingertip grip it something about the size and curve lets me control this mouse really good, I was maining the x2 mini before that and even though they weigh the same the weight distribution on the dav3 makes it feel much ligther.
Great content as always! Could you make something related about sound? I'm curious to see what you use and what you think is important for competitive gaming. Your take is quite unique on everything and I like that a lot.
I been running both Viper 8khz wired and DAV3 Wired and i definitely aim better and more accurately on the Viper. DAV3 is my backup now, but the Viper just has a better accuracy to me, i think its because my hand being flat vs angled gives me better reaction accuracy instead of being angled slightly, but idk. All i know is im nasty with the Viper. Razer just keeps winning regardless
I have the DAV3 Pro and love it, but the scrollwheel is jumping pretty often for me and i read that more people have that problem. So beware of that if you are thinking of buying. Love the review btw!
Well I guess you don't know until you have the mouse. It started pretty quick for me after I got the mouse. It is starting to annoy me to the point that i'm thinking to RMA the mouse. Maybe you don't have the issue. I hope for you that's the case! good Luck!
been a while, hope your doin great and, i'd rlly love if u stress more on what best shape (theories) u have cuz i have been struggling and i cant find my shape
I seriously used to love razer products, their ergos are honestly pretty top. The only beef i have with them as a company is the longevity of their products. I have broken basically every razer product i have owned within a year of buying it. Had a zowie ec2-a for over a decade, thing is still going strong, gonna retire it and put it in a display cabinet soon :p
been using the death adder v3 pro and this mouse is honestly the best mouse ive ever used, took a bit to get used to the lightweightness of it but once i got the hang of it and adjusted my sensitivity in overwatch, ive been dominating
I wish I liked this thing, but I couldn’t get a good grip on it. I bought this alongside a viper v2 with the plan to pick one and return the other. Because I was a palm gripper I thought I’d pick this no problem. Plus, I had hand pains with the viper at first. But after a while I realized I couldn’t get a decent grip on it. It always felt like it was gonna slip out 9f my hand. And the more I went back to the viper, the more I liked that, and my grip style changed to suit it. The hand pains went away too. This, plus me getting the viper for around $50 off led to me picking that instead. And now I‘ve basically been forced into a claw grip lol. It’s pretty comfortable and I’m happy with it, but I always think about what could have been, considering this was the better mouse for me on paper.
Disabling CPU C-States in your BIOS will solve the stuttering seen at 7:50 for anyone who owns a 4khz or 8hkz mouse. Your CPU will maybe run a bit hotter and consume a bit more power, but this solved the stuttering in Quake Champions, Apex, everything.
I like my DeathAdder V2 a lot, despite Synapse is horrible. Since I have big hands I would definitely choose a DeathAdder V3 if I had to buy a new mouse. I love that they removed the RGB. It's useless anyway, since you hardly see it while using the mouse. Less weight and less options to configure in Synapse is just great. Last but not least, I also like that they removed the side pads. On my V2, the pad in the thumb area was already heavily worn after a few months, which of course also continuously changed the grip feeling in that area. I'm happy to avoid the side pads and enjoy a consistent grip instead.
@@poonzy7112 8 x 4? You are talking about inches, right? My hands are 7.9 x 4.3 in inches and I can hold the DeathAdder V2 in palm grip as well as in claw grip. But please note that cramping can still occur during the first few days, if you come from a different mouse shape. I previously had an even bigger, heavier ASUS ROG Gladius II Origin before the DeathAdder V2 and it took me a few days to get fully used to the new shape and weight. But after them I really felt a lot how it was working for me way better.
inches yes sorry, sounds good I'll give it a go someone was telling me to get a zowie ec1, I don't know if you think that's a better choice or what not?
Recently, i picked up a corsair sabre rgb pro because I wanted to try out a higher polling mouse. Only cost like 35 dollars on amazon. Even though im only on 165hz, I could tell it was definitely smoother than my current 1k polling cooler master MM712. But even then, I still prefer my MM712. The shape and the coating means more to me than even having a more accurate/faster sensor. I guess consistency and comfort is more important to the pros than the latest and greatest tech.
Hi, I’ve been using a Mamba Elite for the last few years and it only recently started acting up (random disconnects from the computer at random intervals which interrupt tracking), previously I used the DeathAdder Elite but i much prefer the shape of the Mamba Elite (I find the outward curvature on the deathadder elite, especially on the right side (when looking from top down) to be too aggressive) (I also love the tilt scroll since I play games and do programming too but I know this feature is not really a thing in modern gaming mice). I have rather big hands and prefer a asymmetrical mouse shape. I’ve been looking to get a new mouse to replace my current dying Mamba Elite though I’m not sure what to choose. I’ve heard that the DeathAdder V2 has slightly reduced curvature but I’m not sure how much that is the case and how much closer it is to the Mamba and how this new V3 model compares to it too. I’m also open to other options from other manufacturers. What recommendations/suggestions would you be able to give for my case? Thanks in advance!
Now having the deathadder even if you don't have pain with the viper it might just be uncomfortable having to grip harder to get more stability on the viper especially with bigger hands, the DAV3 also gives you a more locked stable feeling (using claw grip)
I’m finding this lately. Viper v2 is an amazing mouse but with larger hands it just doesn’t feel comfortable for me. Shape is definitely more important for aim than the latest sensor and tech.
Yeah I agree DAV3 was named a DeathAdder only for marketing’s sake. Only thing in common is that it’s an ergo. Good shape though. It’s just not a DeathAdder.
What do you think about the fingertip mice like the Zaunkoenig M2K and the ones from Gwolves? I don't I ever saw you review or even talk about those? I am tempted to try them out but still unsure.
Love your reviews from a lot of years until today. Over the years I've bought mouses based on your reviews and feedback. I love the old deathadder mouses, but I simply can't use them, since they slip (a LOT) from my hand, especially where it holds the mouse with pinky finger and ring finger. Was a nightmare to me, reposition the crosshair, since mouse it slips real hard from my hand. With the new model v3, it's wayyyy more confortable and stable (less slippy ) - and I have medium/large hands 19.5cm x 10cm. I've tested the razer viper 8k and feels super Confortable using multi-task and gaming, Viper doesn't slip on my hand, at all. . Love the viper, but I am in doubt between the 2. But that's not the principal point. One ("stupid" but with logic) question; did you consider Steelseries Qck+ a control mousepad? Finally I found some mice's that I like and suites me , with great shape, flawless sensor and great specs - Razer deathadder v3 wired, and Razer Viper 8K. But after many years (since ever) using Qck (without even thinking about it) I just found now, that this mouse pad feels to fast to me, and makes me have lack of control while gaming and consistency - CS Go - essencially. But since i'de don't experienced other mouse pads, I need a real trusted feedback. Many says that Qck is a control pad, and many other says that is a medium speed mouse pad and not a control pad. I would appreciate opinions, about this subject, especially from you Ninja. Maybe it's a plabebo effect on my head. Or the qck is truly a control mouse pad, compared to all other mouse pads. Like I said, could be placebo effect, but I feel that I have no control over the mouse on this mouse pad, it slips like butter, I feel no actrict / control / stopping power., slides a lotttt, what make me think that it's more a speed pad then a true control pad.. That's the reason of my question - maybe qck is a truly control mouse pad, but I have no comparasion, since I've always used qck+ (first I used the hard surface versions 5D? I think, then I use the qck fabric version for long years, till today . But I notice that I can't place the corroshair always on same spot, even I spend hours training aim, and mechanics.
Btw: I'm a "no fore arm" player, with a hybrid palm/fingertip mixed grip style. From the 2 mice's which one you can advise me in this conditions ??? Hands 19.5x10cm, I fell the Deathadder v3 is little big on hand, and the Viper is a little small - some mm extra on Viper and would be perfect to me , anyway, both they are the closest mice's that I found that fits my hand well and my game style + both are affordable to my wallet size 😅
Great review as per usual, also a bit nostalgic :D. Anyways, I wanted to ask you something in regards to the MZ1 wireless, because I'm considering buying it. I know that it uses a slightly controversial MCU known for its idle delay (about 10ms extra click latency if the mouse hasn't been moved for 5 seconds). However, I also know that XTRFY's newest mouse - the M8 - has some new firmware that removed this 'problem.' My question to you is: Do you know if this firmware has applied to the MZ1 wireless as well - or in other words, is that idle delay no longer an issue? Thanks in advance, and hope more reviews are coming soon!
Neither the M8 Wireless (w/ default firmware) nor the MZ1 Wireless have the flat delay added after five seconds of button and sensor inactivity. The flat delay is only present on the X2/X2 Mini w/ launch firmware and Atlantis Mini with the "short sleeping mode" firmware. Instead, on the M8 and MZ1, the first click event after the five second idle delay will be extended to an effective click latency of roughly 9 ms, provided the debounce time is equal to or lower than 6 ms. Hence, if debounce time is 2 ms, 4 ms of latency will be added, at 4 ms, 2 ms will be added, and at 6 ms or higher, nothing will be added.
In your video from January 2021 you stated quake champions runs fine on the 8k viper (1:07 in that old video) yet here you showed there were stutters in quake champions. So QC is unplayable at 8k hz at the time of recording?
Good memory. It's because Quake Champions added raw input since then, so whatever their X input is seems to handle it or just bypass it, while raw input makes it the same as Quake Live and other games with stutters. It's a game engine thing, so whatever games are doing to handle the higher Hz is why some stutter and some don't.
@@RocketJumpNinja ahh very interesting. Thank you for the response. I'm not too knowledgable on the topic but I wonder how Nvidia reflex might affect it. QC did remove the reflex nvidia option from the menu back in October (i'm not sure the reason) but are returning it to the game in the June update (one of the devs stated on reddit). Might be worth testing again then. Thank you for all that you do regardless :)
i am curious as to why you havent designed a "wide" mouse? like the coolmaster mm720 with width of 7cm or more? i have 20x10 hands and even though this mouse is short it is the WIDTH that makes it feel good in the hand. this is because it fills more of the pouch of your palm therefore reducing the manipulating needed to "grasp" the mouse, reducing fatigue and causing your hand to flare outward by force so no energy is spent on contracting your hand. we need mice with new ergo shapes with 7CM or more width
I bought a dav3 wireless and after maybe around 5 months the shell started to creak and the scroll wheel started skipping steps and scrolling when moving the mouse around. The right click also feels significantly mushier than the left. Disappointing that the build quality still isn't that great.
Interesting, I've been testing these for months now and haven't had any issues ... I'll keep one on my desk though for comparison, so maybe I'll see. Hopefully your experience is a once off, thanks for sharing though!
I really like the starlight 12 but it is just a bit too small for my hand size. Does anyone have any suggestions on like grip tape or anywhere I can find something similar to the infinity skins to add just a bit to the shape? Thank you! Love the review Zy and very glad you are back
little warning, the deathadderV2 is an incredibly comfortable mouse but ive already used the V1 and they translated their biggest downside. this mouse is made for specific usage. a very good high precision mouse for clawgrip users. but , its scrollwheel clicks 100 times before it litterly stops functioning. that is a big big downside for games like factorio or dyson sphere or any sorts of games wich require you to third person swap arround with the camera angles. so be warned about that clickfunction. that however are the only breakable parts of it. if it wouldnt come down to me beeing in need of a mouse with better mousewheel quality, i could use this mouse for ever. it has very nice dpi djustment buttons in the middle, wich for example helped out a lot in games like planetside 2 where you want to have a finetuning of the precision in a gunner seat on the fly when you happen to enter a vehicle for example, for that this mouse is basically a cheat code
its actually the first deathadder i can use because with the old design i always got my ring finger stuck under the right mouse button or pressed it by accident xD
you should buy or see if theres a viewer who would be willing to send you the original razer boomslang mouse. ik it would be different compared to what you usually focus on for this channel but it would make for some really cool content if you compared the two since your channel is actually focused on gaming mice.
I bought this at £120, and it's miles better in any aspect for my hand shape than my older Superlight Pro X. However, the battery life is not exactly 90 hours. It lasts around 30-35 hours
I think to this day Mamba had the best shape for me or atleast i got so used to i want it on other mices. The verticality helps with better ergonomics. I cant stand flat ambidex. designs. Gives discomfort. but mamba is way to heavy comparing to the new better mices.
Yeah it's a shame how underrated the Mamba was when they finally gave it a good sensor. I think I'd still prefer it over the new DA V3 shape wise, but can't really tell until they make one that competes with the other specs of the DA V3.
I had problems with razor mouse. I had the Razer mini's and it stop working. I bought another one because it took 4 weeks for a replacement, So I end up with two of them. Then I started to get cramps the death header version two special edition, But I had to pronounce that. Where I rest my thumb on the rubber side grip got pushed in and made a round crater, like my thumb melted an Indent on it. Then the second part I don't like is the switches we're hard to push down the click, so my finger started to hurt. So I ended up getting the wired Logitech G502X but Their switches have an annoying sound click to it. I don't like their shiny buttons.
My hands are at 17.5cm x 9x5 cm. i’ve been claw/palming my deathadder v2 forever, and the deathadder elite before that. I tried the steelseries rival 650, model O wired, and the razer naga. none of their shapes have called to me since. i’m interested in the v3. i’m very used to larger mice, as you can probably tell, but i’m also very curious about smaller mice due to so many people saying smaller is better. i cant seem to find anything that’s wireless, has updated specs, and is small enough that is sold on US Amazon. (i have a gift card i’d like to use on my next mouse) Any suggestions are highly appreciated. Thank you guys:)
The stuttering in Quake Champions at higher polling rates with raw input enabled is a conundrum to me. I have two PCs one x470 based one x570 and I’ve found that the hitch only happened on the x570 pc. I have tried all the tricks and hints I could read up on to fix it on the x570 none have worked. It happens at 4k polling with a viper v2 pro and a Gwolves 4k as well but stops at 2k. I don’t have any wired mice to test the 8k but I’m sure the issue would persist.
The shape is so close to a perfect ergo but I just absolutely despise the front right side. The ring finger ledge feels like it cuts off way too early (I have never had a mouse feel like it's just missing over an entire cm for a finger before), it's not rounded or wide enough, and the flare somehow seems more intense than the V2 in my hand despite clearly being more recessed. But I'm a picky 403 user who literally only likes the Makalu 67 and MM712 lol
Not sure if placebo or not but ive noticed higher scores in kovaak's and better valorant scores in the firing range 8k vs 1k and if i focus enough, i can notice the difference in accuracy Edit: am on viper 8k
@rocket jump ninja The reaction time test is an incorrect test to use for this case. As the click latency doesn't change with different polling rate. It only affect the sensor delay.
@@RocketJumpNinja You're correct, but as seen in Battlenonsense analysis. V8k's Button delay didn't change with the different polling rate. It only changed the sensor delay. Another mouse behaved like you explained, which was the G203. The G203 button delay changed with the different polling rate setting. So it depends upon the manufacturer to let the button delay be affected by polling rate setting or not. reference: youtu(DOT)be/mwf_F2VboFQ?t=130
Yeah so for the wired mice, the clicks are always polled at 125us intervals. The user setting only affects sensor data. For wireless mice, the sensor and click data are tied together, and are both affected by polling rate (explained by someone at Razer).
Also since you've replied, I've found a fix for "laggy" or "stuttery" high polling rate mice (4000hz+). And am more than happy to share it in the gaming community. it works by assigning a single core for your mouse, and a single core for your GPU. (they shouldn't be assigned to the same core, and not to core 0) By using "microsoft interrupt affinity policy tool" -Find Intel usb controller and set a single core -Find Usb Root Hub and set the same core as usb controller -Find Nvidia gpu and set a single core If using SMT/HT then assign to every even number (0,2,4,6,8) or odd (1,3,5,7). Because core 0 and 1 are actually the same core, but different threads. So you should assign to only one thread, not both. If you need further help we can comment here or through discord "amb6994"
@@RocketJumpNinja hmm, interesting. I guess that makes your point valid. Button latency is currently too good. (But wouldn't be too sure to say the same for sensor latency)

@@RocketJumpNinja Palm medium size.
For me ir is viper v2 pro all the way
Tho if viper signature was available here i would really like that
@@RocketJumpNinja Hey man, using the DeathAdder V3 Pro Wireless in Fortnite I noticed that there is more delay using it wireless(1000hz regular dongle) vs using it wired USB Type C.
I cannot wait for the viper v2 review, i might drop a comment how this mouse, despite my struggle with my previous first gaming mouse(the fk1+ coming from a 19/9cm hand player) really made me tame the ambi shape further and managed to improved since then, once the vid drops
and good you see you back, Zy, we missed you :)
What grip? I have 20x11,5 and can only fingertip grip it.
@@dopetruck8382 Hybrid Claw Fingertip, most refer as "Knuckle claw".
@@TinmanFPS I used to play that when I was a kid but can’t anymore for some reason my hand start to hurt like hell. I’m guessing you are a casual player that don’t play very serious or mouse dependent games? I play only apex high elo ranked so it’s very important :/
@@dopetruck8382 I still use this grip as an Apex Master level player.
@@TinmanFPS cool guess My hand is weird
After a long time with the dav3 I can say that I would love for three things to be different:
- More forward sensor position (not much just 0,5-0,7cm)
- I changed my grip into more of a claw grip, and I keep noticing, that it is hard for me to grip the mouse with my pinky finger.
I missed these reviews. Hopefully we get one for the ULX. Either way, wonderful video as always.
YES FINALLY I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!
Its called hybrid grip for future reference
HES BACK
Been using DeathAdders since forever.
I really do wish they would bring a left handed deathadder back with the shape of the new V3 pro. Would love to try it out
I totally do NOT agree with your "I would rather playing at 60hz than playing on a heavy mouse".
Man how much we have missed you!
I like the v3 but the front is too high for me.. precission
Seems to be less with that.
But higher button height gives more stability in movement( cleaner and more straighter lines)
So something in the middle seems to be perfect for me
No one does it like Zy, welcome back
Welcome back!
As always thanks for the detailed review!
Maybe have a look at the Haste 2 next if you can, Zy.
And by the way, welcome back king!
Will do and thanks!
I would like to see a video about the "lower vs. higher dpi" you touched on during the review sometime. Speaking of, it's very good as always.
yes, the mamba elite is a very good shape, even better than EC-1, old deathadders e.t.c because the mamba elite has less nuanced curves, more confident slopes. the ec1, DA dont need to be that long in length, the mamba elite proves that by having a better elevating feel that hooks your fingers more therefore not having to flay them out to reach the best click area with finger
I use the wired at 4K hz because of the price, not gonna pay 2x for wireless + dongle. All in all, the wired version comes out on top for me because of the price to performance ratio.
I hope razer will make a dav3 mini wired 8khz
does the pro have the same shape as the normal one
I was excited about the DA V3 non-pro as well, not because of the 8k polling but because of the shape. If there was a DA V3 Mini pro/non-pro, that's probably what I would try next since my main now is a Keris Aimpoint wireless which falls into the small ergo mouse category from my previous Lamzu OG, and I totally agree with RJN when he says going smaller is better.
The Pulesfire Haste 2 wired also has 8k polling. I hope RJN reviews that next.
Testing the wireless, should be getting the wired soon, so not next, but yes working on it!
Heck yeaaaaaaah
I wish razer will make a dav3 mini wired 8khz
Keep em comin Zy. Missed ya bud hope all is well.
Whatever aspect ratio you used to record this I love it. Looks awesome in theater mode.
Great to hear, what resolution are you on?
@@RocketJumpNinja 1440p and that's what I watched it in.
Maybe you can poll this and find out.
good to see razer adapt to the market needs, without needing holes or led gimmicks
Awesome video and explanation 🔥Still loving the MZ1 wireless by the way! Would be great if an updated version was to be released down the line
Been my main for a month now and I'm loving it! Been looking for mice that would replace that my existential love for the mx518 and this just about done it.
Great review as always. Waiting for the Lamzu atlantis and Pulsar X2 review
More from Zy
Once I get familiar with all the latest mice, yeah I'll see what I can do!
g305 has entered the chat
The goat is back in town.
@unholydonuts V2 costs the same because it is always out of stack xd
recently started using deathadder v3 pro with standard 1000Hz, with 6400DPI - 0.75 in game sens Overwatch 2 and 3/11 windows mouse speed (it equals to 0.25x which is 1600 and only affects cursor movement and not raw input for games that use raw input, so i can use the equivalent of 1600DPI for desktop use and Overwatch 2 in game cursor), it feels super smooth and responsive, amazing ergo mouse
I've tried and owned many many mice, wierdly enough I aim my best with the dav3 even though I fingertip grip it
something about the size and curve lets me control this mouse really good, I was maining the x2 mini before that and even though they weigh the same the weight distribution on the dav3 makes it feel much ligther.
LOL I have the same experience, can't use my DAV3 wired because I aim better with a viper
I have the DAV3 Pro and love it, but the scrollwheel is jumping pretty often for me and i read that more people have that problem. So beware of that if you are thinking of buying. Love the review btw!
i just ordered the DAV3 Pro, wdym by scrollwheel jumping? should i be worried?
Well I guess you don't know until you have the mouse. It started pretty quick for me after I got the mouse. It is starting to annoy me to the point that i'm thinking to RMA the mouse. Maybe you don't have the issue. I hope for you that's the case! good Luck!
I have small hands and I've always happily used Deathadders, so the size question is relative. Don't let that scare you off.
The legendary zy returns!?
great video! razer deathadder v3 is great! btw, r you gonna post a review on the finalmouse ultralight X mouse any time soon?
been a while, hope your doin great and, i'd rlly love if u stress more on what best shape (theories) u have

Nice review man, now this is true RJN content!
been using the death adder v3 pro and this mouse is honestly the best mouse ive ever used, took a bit to get used to the lightweightness of it but once i got the hang of it and adjusted my sensitivity in overwatch, ive been dominating
basically its a deathadder just like upgraded version
@@Khinh-xq6lx not to sound sarcastic, but thats literally it like its a new installment

Your CPU will maybe run a bit hotter and consume a bit more power, but this solved the stuttering in Quake Champions, Apex, everything.
it helps but equally important is the windows ultimate power plan + Nvidia "Prefer maximum performance"
I'm happy to avoid the side pads and enjoy a consistent grip instead.
how big are you hands since mine are 8x4 would this fit for palm grip on it since i dont want no cramping or anything
I guess now I'm really sure what shape of mouse I'll look for starting now
Edit: I like how the mouse skates looks like a person smiling
wow great review... i miss the old rjn, you know... the controversial one :)
I have the DAV3 pro, DAV2 pro and Mamba Elite and I still prefer the Mamba. I haven't found any mouse that's as comfortable as the Mamba. It sucks.
In the beginning which is the v3 right or left?
I wish if you implement sensor latency in your review.. Would be the first on youtube, besides that it's the most important one.
4:21 MONEY SHOT
much needed video honestly
Hands 19.5x10cm, I fell the Deathadder v3 is little big on hand, and the Viper is a little small - some mm extra on Viper and would be perfect to me , anyway, both they are the closest mice's that I found that fits my hand well and my game style + both are affordable to my wallet size 😅
any plans to test the VAXEE XE WIRELESS?
will you be doing a viper ultimate v2 review?
@@pzogel well in that case, i guess I'll cope it since it's on sale rn :)
Hopefully your experience is a once off, thanks for sharing though!
every single mouse, I need to change the switch myself, or it’s me with my hard gaming pressure.
@@RocketJumpNinja I hope it's just a once off because the shape is almost perfect and the sensor and wireless is great.

If only the MZ1 changed to a solid shell and upgrade the sensor, I’d see hordes of people getting back onto the shape.
Return of the king.
Not for me, but nice to see more light mice without holes.
What about the feel of 1-3-1 vs 1-2-2 grip?
PS. What the pros use might might be skewed due to sponsors.
its actually the first deathadder i can use because with the old design i always got my ring finger stuck under the right mouse button or pressed it by accident xD
you should buy or see if theres a viewer who would be willing to send you the original razer boomslang mouse. ik it would be different compared to what you usually focus on for this channel but it would make for some really cool content if you compared the two since your channel is actually focused on gaming mice.
I bought this at £120, and it's miles better in any aspect for my hand shape than my older Superlight Pro X. However, the battery life is not exactly 90 hours. It lasts around 30-35 hours
Are you using the hyper-polling dongle?
@@Aries0098 No never bought the 4000hrz dongle.
the click latency on the 8k mouse is still sent at 8k even if the mouse sensor is set to 1000. Its always at the lowest latency of clicks
would you choose the new wireless zowie ECs over the deathadder? I'm loving the DAV3 but I'm tempted to buy the ECW and compare.
I think I'd still prefer it over the new DA V3 shape wise, but can't really tell until they make one that competes with the other specs of the DA V3.
i got big hands and wanted a solid light mouse for palm grip I assume this fits that ?
I had problems with razor mouse. I had the Razer mini's and it stop working. I bought another one because it took 4 weeks for a replacement, So I end up with two of them. Then I started to get cramps the death header version two special edition, But I had to pronounce that. Where I rest my thumb on the rubber side grip got pushed in and made a round crater, like my thumb melted an Indent on it. Then the second part I don't like is the switches we're hard to push down the click, so my finger started to hurt. So I ended up getting the wired Logitech G502X but Their switches have an annoying sound click to it. I don't like their shiny buttons.
the king....has returned!!!
I hope razer will make a dav3 mini wired 8khz and rvm wired 8khz
I currently have a 3 year old razer deathadder v2, and I want to buy either the DA v2 pro or the DA v3 wired. Which one should I get?
My hands are at 17.5cm x 9x5 cm. i’ve been claw/palming my deathadder v2 forever, and the deathadder elite before that. I tried the steelseries rival 650, model O wired, and the razer naga. none of their shapes have called to me since.
i’m interested in the v3. i’m very used to larger mice, as you can probably tell, but i’m also very curious about smaller mice due to so many people saying smaller is better.
i cant seem to find anything that’s wireless, has updated specs, and is small enough that is sold on US Amazon. (i have a gift card i’d like to use on my next mouse)
Any suggestions are highly appreciated. Thank you guys:)
Disclaimer: The wired V3 costs half the price of the wireless PRO.
Get the wireless if you can get it for a better price, else go for the wired.
Have u tried the Viper signature edition or Pulsar X2?
I heard there are issues with Ryzen 5000 and 8000hz and 4000hz, such as frame drops and skips
Not sure if placebo or not but ive noticed higher scores in kovaak's and better valorant scores in the firing range 8k vs 1k and if i focus enough, i can notice the difference in accuracy
Edit: am on viper 8k
@rocket jump ninja
The reaction time test is an incorrect test to use for this case. As the click latency doesn't change with different polling rate. It only affect the sensor delay.
Polling rate is the mouse communicating with the PC, so yeah it actually does help click latency too.

(they shouldn't be assigned to the same core, and not to core 0)
By using "microsoft interrupt affinity policy tool"
-Find Intel usb controller and set a single core
-Find Usb Root Hub and set the same core as usb controller
-Find Nvidia gpu and set a single core
If using SMT/HT then assign to every even number (0,2,4,6,8) or odd (1,3,5,7). Because core 0 and 1 are actually the same core, but different threads. So you should assign to only one thread, not both.

@@RocketJumpNinja hmm, interesting. I guess that makes your point valid. Button latency is currently too good.
(But wouldn't be too sure to say the same for sensor latency)
This a long shot, but have you tried the new Vaxee Xe?
I have really big hands and fingers. I need all the hump, to not touch the pad on both sides all the time.
waiting so long for this review
