@MarKuS yeah btw I don't think the deathadder v3 clicks are any lighter at least there new ones also pulsar clicks are light for the type of click they are using I hope this makes sense but I do think the switch to the deathadder v3 will still be a bit better

For people wondering, the scroll wheel is extremely loose compared to any other mouse I've used. It's difficult for me to get used to right now, it seems they've gone way too far with tweaking it. I find myself wishing for the one from the Viper V2 Pro.
In warzone / cod loose scroll wheel sucks because you end up double scrolling easily or not scrolling enough because you're afraid of double scrolling which in turn causes you to not switch your weapon and end up losing an encounter because you couldn't switch from AR to SMG on time or because you only had 4 bullets left in one of your weapons and needed to quickly switch to another one only for the animation to start, then cancel wasting time and leaving you with 4 bullets. This mouse seems to have so much going for it. But the loose scrollwheel and lack of at least one extra side button/easy to reach mappable button is really shitty. I wish more mice had that third side button that the g502 has. I mainly play warzone, and a third button is basically a must for me on my mouse (mount, armoring up, and melee) all easy/convenient buttons around WASD are already taken by other stuff.
Not to be a dick but u really shouldn’t be using the scroll wheel to cycle through guns. Its a bad habit so u should get use to using 1 and 2 to switch between guns
@@swaveyqua9721 The scrollwheel is a lot more convenient since it allows you to keep your fingers on the WASD keys. But I do kinda get where you're coming from.

I was ready to pull the trigger on this mouse until I saw they removed the BT/2.4ghz toggling that allows the device to be paired to both a gaming pc via usb dongle and a work PC over bluetooth. My desk setup is dual purpose for gaming and working from home and having multi pairing support is a must for me. The V2 Pro had this, why did they remove it? So stupid.
I was in the market for a new mouse somewhat recently, and I was looking at a Deathadder because I used to have one years ago and it was just my favorite shape. I was debating it for ages, but decided against it because of it's weight and super large shape. I ended up getting the Viper V2 pro cus of the weight, the feet, the clicks and everything just being like 5-10% better than the original Viper I was using. If this came out before the viper, I'd have picked it up in a heartbeat, but I've already spent 100+ on the Viper, so I'll give this a miss.
Here’s a suggestion that I have been using for the last few years my buddy told me who worked at Best Buy. For all your peripherals (headset, mic, keyboard, mouse, etc.) get it at best buy and pay for the 2 year geek squad protection. Anytime within the 2 years you can exchange it for anything. Technically there has to be something wrong with it but you can just say the mouse is double clicking. Or if you liked the product and want to keep it, you can always exchange it for a new one after 2 years. The protection plan cost depends on the item but I’ve spent only $15-30 on each and when you consider the flexibility and usefulness of refreshing your tech it’s super nifty. I’m gonna do this now and trade in my gprox super light and try the DAV3.
I hope the plastic is somewhat better than the v2 model. I've had mine what little less than 2 years and it flexes and squeeks like crazy. Got a 10+ year old copperhead that's still solid as a brick.
I had the same issues with the v2 that you did and the creaking is completely gone on the v3, I think it's because on the V2 you have that top shell that wraps around the entire mouse, makes it a lot less rigid. Now that the v3 has individual buttons for clicking instead of them being built into the shell, it's a LOT more rigid. I also actually have the mouse unlike a lot of people commenting, if you're at all interested I'd recommend getting it.
I think it does come with a dongle, but a 1000hz polling dongle (what basically every other wireless gaming mouse dongle polls at). Their "HyperPolling" 4000hz dongle is sold separately.
its really tough because razer and logitech to as certain extent can charge as much as they want and people will buy them because of how big the lead between them and everyone else is. owning both i would def say the deathadder should be the same price as the newest g pro superlight model whatever that may be. they are the same caliber of mouse
I'm super tempted to buy this. But both this mouse and the viper v2 pro only have 2 mappable buttons (right/left mouse buttons don't count, nor does the scroll wheel).. I need at least 3 or 4 mapable buttons. I don't get how this is "a super gamer performance mouse" while only having 2fn mappable buttons. I blame the tarded tac shooters honestly. I currently use a G502 lightspeed and I have mount, armor on the side buttons. Melee on another button. And 2 buttons left that I use for airstrikes and munitions boxes etc. I can do without having killstreaks etc on the two buttons. But I really need armor, mount and melee on the mouse since there are no comfortable and quick options to put those on my keyboard. So that means I have to give one of these up. While all the easy to press keys around the WASD are already taken by other important stuff. It's really annoying. My hands aren't small perse, but I don't want to take my fingers off the WASD keys to perform a mount, armor up or to melee. It's super dumb that they have gone ultra minimalistic just to please a handful of people that only excusively play 20 year old tac shooters and or clones of that tac shooter.
I mean the Deathadder Crowd is definitely competitive. Many of the valorant pros use the G703 which has a similar shape and style. Shazham from Sentinals has been using the V3 recently as well and says he likes it.
Glad to see that Razer hasn't forgotten about fans of larger mice. But I think I'll probably stay with my DA v2 since I use the Bluetooth connectivity pretty regularly
i love this mouse for csgo. i used to own the gpx superlight but i get crazy hand cramps and i find it unusable without grips even if i find the coating of the mouse feeling really premium
I have both the Viper V2 Pro and this Deathadder V3 Pro. Biggest difference is the swipe clicks on the Deathadder V3 Pro has more control (maybe because I'm right handed and it's built for right handed users). However, the Viper V2 Pro feels like it can register faster, especially noticeable when using a pistol in CS:GO it fires like a machine gun. Deathadder V3 Pro seems slower despite using the same switch; I suspect it's because of how the mouse is shaped. Other than that, I really love this mouse!
I'm not sure I'm gonna like this. I own every model of DA since the 3.5G and it feels like it's molded just for my hand. I'm sure I'll buy this one too when they come out with a wired version but I'm not sure I'll like it as much as my beloved V2.
I can't understand. They should name this different. Definitely don't feel like a DA, don't weight like a DA and don't seems to be one too. Wellp. Will but a v2 for cheaper now
@@dollymix5 I thought so too. The flares that nobody seems to like in these reviews is kinda what made DA's stand out. Again, not hating on it but I hope they didn't get rid of everything that made it a Deathadder.
@@macleod1592 I think having it lighter is probably a good thing, at least thats something I've noticed to prefer on the gpro compared to my V2. Though I definitely feel the same how deathadders seem to fit so snug compared to any other mice.
I've beem bouncing back and forth from razer to steelseries to logi and by far I do like the razer mice the most so far. there shape, size, and the optical switches have really been good to me. I have the DA v2 pro with pulsar glass glides, but I also have a steelseries aerox 5, and a Logi G Pro X superlight. what kills it for me is synapse. I look at synapse the same way I look at Asus Aura, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, MSI Mystic Light, etc its ok at first but you end up avoiding it as much as possible and some times forget you even have it.
The one thing I can't stand about all the "pro" models is the lack of a DPI button under the scroll wheel. When did that design become bad? I never used that button for changing DPI... it was always just clutch to have an extra bind there
Considering switching out my Model D for this. I don't like the price, and I don't like the wireless-ness actually, and it doesn't seem a wired version will be released anytime soon. But I can't deal with the janky/scratchy/wobbly mouse buttons on the model D. It's great for the price, but coming from an MX Master, I can't deal with the build quality/feel of it. I wonder if this is better in that regard though? It should be I hope, considering the price.
@@Rz4rect0r Yeah. I found out about that just after getting an SS Prime which does the dob (without any horribleness in the clicks/buttons). The wired DAv3 would probably have been my first choice though. A much better deal than the wired version. But I'm glad I got the SS Prime, as it is kinda unique (in a good way, for me at least) and an amazingly good mouse for the price.
Without the DA's two middle buttons from the last edition, not even in my consideration anymore. I would remap them in Synapse for other keyboard shortcuts to use in games and programs. Meh...
This one is clearly built for strictly FPS games, but the other ones are still available to purchase so nothing is stopping you from getting those instead
I’m really disappointed they appropriated the Deathadder line for this release. But all good things come to an end. Glad I got my V2 when I did and I’m likely grab another one on sale for a rainy day.
This mouse is better than the Logitech G Pro Superlight in every single category. - course surface for better grip - more comfortable shape. (My opinion) Similar to Zowie EC2 - better mouse buttons. Especially the side buttons. - 4000hz polling rate - USB-C
the competetitve players dont think like you 50% they use Logitech G Pro and only 19% is for razer deathadder/viper they dont have money for buy razer? watch CSgo and Valorant gear all of then use logitech mouse and dont forgot the G pro is 2020 the deathadder 2022 for 3yrs logitech need to give new technology mouse soon
I just got my G Pro X Superlight and I set it to 250 Hz just to try it out. I haven't noticed any difference so far. Apart from the battery life, which is now more than double the default amount. LOL I can't help it, but this 4K/8K Hz pulling rate just seems like marketing dogshit to me.
There are profesional fps players who use 500hz and seem to do well lol so yeah the 4000/8000hz is kinda marketing mumbo-jumbo to try and justify absurd prices.

@@NickZhurav i literally just went from my g pro superlight to this. Hands down a worthy upgrade and i LOVED the g pro superlight. You will not be disappointed
I don’t know how to feel about the loss of Bluetooth. The V2 is extremely versatile because you don’t need the usb receiver and as a result can also free up a USB port. I believe that the new design is probably better but that lack of Bluetooth for me is not insignificant.
Bluetooth is only really good on the go. If you seriously game with a Bluetooth connection you should reconsider. The delay is crazy, doesn't stay consistent at all and drains more battery
@@anorax001 yes thank you. The V3 doesn't even look like a DeathAdder. Completely unnecessary redesign and tons of V2 features cut just to make it lightweight. Such a disappointment
The trend of removing features but increasing the price is starting to tick me off they are taking a look at the g502 wireless price and saying well that's 150 and doing great why can't we? The thing I would liked to see was this mouse have Bluetooth, the free scrollwheel button ability to take off the top shell to hot swap the switches and clean the inside. The feature that let's you tilt the scroll wheel left or right to activate buttons. While all this being under 70 grams would make it worth the price.

-No Bluetooth?, Ok
-No RGB?, Ok
- No dongle?, Uhh
- Same price? Razer WTF!
Shazham from Sentinals has been using the V3 recently as well and says he likes it.
asuna uses deathadder too
Glad to see that Razer hasn't forgotten about fans of larger mice. But I think I'll probably stay with my DA v2 since I use the Bluetooth connectivity pretty regularly
And the dock. A bit annoyed the peripherals to my peripherals aren't supported!
was looking for a new mouse for tarkov. i was surprised that u have the time to play it lol
I wish it had the extra buttons on top, not having those is no sale for me :\
im trully mad they removed the underside pins for the charger, besides having to clean it from time to time it was very confy
Well, as you can now use any cable, you can plug in a magnetic USB-C connector and charge it that way. You can't be that lazy. 😆
Im still waiting for some lightweight ergo basilisk / g502 shape mouse. Hoping to see it in the next razer upgrade.
There's a G502X coming out, but the wireless version is still slightly over 100g, so not really lightweight
Can't reprogram the bottom button, only DPI? Yikes. If I could cycle through profiles, I would be interested in this mouse.
You can’t cycle through the dpi? On here
i love this mouse for csgo. i used to own the gpx superlight but i get crazy hand cramps and i find it unusable without grips even if i find the coating of the mouse feeling really premium
Does this mouse come with the 4k hz dongle or is it separate?
you need to buy that separate
I always like mamba but don't see a new version out and cobra pro is close to mamba for me but smaller
Today payed 149 and 29 for dongle 4000Hz
Thoughts on this over the G pro superlight? Debating between the two right now
g pro for the double click bro
I'm afraid I can't get that DAV3
Wow that was fast
Looks great, but I will never be able to justify paying $150 for a mouse.
It cost 120 with a student discount on the website
Logitech and Razer have proven that sweat lord super nerds will pay $150 for a mouse.
I totally agree with you but: How much would you say is a fair price? (I'm Just curious)
@@Padlock_Steve I own many mice and my model O is easily top 3 cheapest feeling mice I own..
@@dstr3ss $80-100
I just picked up the razer orichi v2 for 50 bucks on prime day and I think it's great.
The death adder is the maba shape than they change the maba and put rgb on it
But have they fixed the scroll wheel issue? it breaks so easily!
id like to know about the music...
but Im happy with my V2 pro. I see no reason to jump up to this..
Other than that, I really love this mouse!
do the clicks feel the same? which ones mor light/spammable
Though I definitely feel the same how deathadders seem to fit so snug compared to any other mice.
those ain't loud clicks have you heard the prime optical switches lol
love the Escape from Tarkov gameplay.
I really want hardware canucks to make a video on Best Mouse pads
I never used that button for changing DPI... it was always just clutch to have an extra bind there
Good point. :)
@@HardwareCanucks surely it can't add THAT much weight
Razer Viper V2...I'm assuming you mean the V2 pro is 58grams not 74 grams. The older Viper Ultimate is 74 grams.
All mice are slowly transitioning into a G Pro Wireless
Finaly I might be able to get rid of my GPXSL! I loved the specs, but the shape was never my taste. Tomorrow I can give this baby a try.
There's a wired version with 8khz polling at 70$.
Haven't heard anyone call it dave imma call it that now too
Without the DA's two middle buttons from the last edition, not even in my consideration anymore. I would remap them in Synapse for other keyboard shortcuts to use in games and programs. Meh...
This one is clearly built for strictly FPS games, but the other ones are still available to purchase so nothing is stopping you from getting those instead
@1:07 I laughed harder than I should have at this.
I'd be way more excited if it was still compatible with the dock and if the dpi button was on top
Yeah it's way different vs the previous DA in terms of features. They are going full speed on performance with this.
-D.
@@HardwareCanucks for sure, but couldn't we have both performance and features? I really need that dpi button on top for any mouse I use.
I might buy it just so I can refer to it Dave.
I am waiting for Mini version :) I got small hands :D
I’m really disappointed they appropriated the Deathadder line for this release. But all good things come to an end. Glad I got my V2 when I did and I’m likely grab another one on sale for a rainy day.
V2 is the past, V3 is the future, I'm glad the did this.
@@markus301 clearly
Remember when 50 bucks for a mouse was a lot? Pepperridge farm remembers...
Looks good and no RGB!
Yaay, one more Razer mouse that's morphing in to all the other Razer mice.
1:07 I like to sound called "Dave."
This mouse is better than the Logitech G Pro Superlight in every single category.
- course surface for better grip
- more comfortable shape. (My opinion) Similar to Zowie EC2
- better mouse buttons. Especially the side buttons.
- 4000hz polling rate
- USB-C
the competetitve players dont think like you 50% they use Logitech G Pro and only 19% is for razer deathadder/viper they dont have money for buy razer? watch CSgo and Valorant gear all of then use logitech mouse and dont forgot the G pro is 2020 the deathadder 2022 for 3yrs logitech need to give new technology mouse soon
The g pro x superlight is 120 right now on Amazon, and is the same weight.
yup
Too small
I just got my G Pro X Superlight and I set it to 250 Hz just to try it out. I haven't noticed any difference so far. Apart from the battery life, which is now more than double the default amount. LOL
I can't help it, but this 4K/8K Hz pulling rate just seems like marketing dogshit to me.
There are profesional fps players who use 500hz and seem to do well lol so yeah the 4000/8000hz is kinda marketing mumbo-jumbo to try and justify absurd prices.
When is the wired version coming out?
Why would you want wired
@@Tee_B Because I do not want wireless.
@@blesner1983 Why?
@@Tee_B Had issues with the Mamba(OG) and Ouroboros(Other issues with left click too) battery in the past. Both had to be returned.
I also have the Bungee v3 chroma so it would be a waste.
@@blesner1983 The original Mamba, in addition to being old, also had a bad sensor. You should try out a new wireless mouse, some of then (Razer included, I believe) offer a free test period. Wireless is also way better latency wise now.
i'm a casual gamer who likes cool looking PC parts. I do love the design (shape) of the deathadder, but I don't see myself spending $150 on a mouse that doesn't do fancy RGB lol
This mouse hits it for me. I’ve been looking for a replacement for the superlight that’s larger, and specially taller.
Something that came as a surprise bonus was how well the undercut under the thumb buttons, and the ring finger makes it so much easier to lift the mouse.
Worthy upgrade from G pro Superlight? I have pretty big hands and use claw grip, the GPS is really solid but I wish it was a tad bigger NGL
@@NickZhurav same, also wondering that
@@NickZhurav i literally just went from my g pro superlight to this. Hands down a worthy upgrade and i LOVED the g pro superlight. You will not be disappointed
@@vitorcampos_ Just got the Roccat Kone Pro Air this past week and I have to say its REALLY nice, both in weight and size. Highly recommend it!
@@ogcavedonny9149 Have you tried Roccat's Kone Pro Air?
I'll be picking this up as soon as I see it on sale for $129. I'll deal with my Logitech double click issue until then :(
I don’t know how to feel about the loss of Bluetooth.
Wtf he himself reviewed the Deathadder V2 quite positively and liked it then.
Now he remarks he never liked Deathadder design.
the shape is personal though; he was likely keeping the review objective
@@BOZ_11 He said it feels like its gonna fall apart....that's not subjective lol.
@@ArnhemKnights good point. maybe his integrity needs checking
@@anorax001 yes thank you. The V3 doesn't even look like a DeathAdder. Completely unnecessary redesign and tons of V2 features cut just to make it lightweight. Such a disappointment
@@JDAWG2111 u have to put your hands on it before you can say all that
For me personally, there is no competition to razer, they’re the only mouse and keyboard I like
Looks like a good improvement!
I don't want any of those useless gimmick features. Buy a Basilisk if you want that crap.
bluetooth has terrible latency
@@gzamm it's still nice to have the option when using it on the phone or tablet and not worry about needing a USB dock especially when it costs 150 dollars and the cheaper model has it.
@@antiguy1994 yeah I’d rather buy the pulsar xlite v2. Both mice copy the Ec2 so they have a similar shape
@@gttrmgc3284 don't talk unless you know what you are talking about first off the basilisk x doesn't have anything I just said besides Bluetooth the ultimate only has the side button scroll wheel and it's "infinite" scroll wheel is just a resistance lower and not like g502. So don't be stupid and complain about people wanting more features for a 150 dollars mouse.
Love how he is angry when mentioning the proprietary connection from the other models 1:40
I am with you.
That stupid cable design needs to be berried.
-D.
That price really deflates it.
I bought a Viper V2 Pro 2 days ago and just noticed this mouse came out a few weeks ago. Although I like the Viper V2 Pro, its shape is not perfect for my grip. I regret buying the mouse.
