companies should really invest more in training the csecurity guards... it is embarrassing...
That's why they contract the security in, not their job to to train them. They tell the security company what they want from security, so they don't have to pay the security guy on the gate, nor holiday pay etc, works out cheaper apparently? Same principal as company using agency workers. Can get rid when required, and no administration to worry about.
DJ is doing the training. All they have to do is watch his videos.
And management , its often Corporate ignorance , and the blame starts at the top , as they should know that drones are able to legally film, so they can ensure that there is no leak of IP or any security risk .
You need to direct that to the SIA. They're the ones who dictate minimum training standards.
Someone should make some SIA security guard dolls, with the pull cord at the back that say "Not Allowed". They would clean up.
It's just so easy helping security dig a absolutely huge hole for them to jump into. They have no awareness how stupid they come across as.
Proof companies and security just aren't clued up on the law :)

Why do so many security guards have no idea about public photography.
I know that it's not an actual course you have to sit to learn about public photography.
It's a simply "If it's being photographed or filmed from a public space then it's legal".

The citizenship test must be awfully similar to police training. "What are you doing? Why are you here? Not allowed, protected site, restricted area, you must take the permission first." Must make it easier for the police to hit their recruitment diversity quotas, they'll fit right in.

The SIA needs to revoke all licenses, and reissue them on a case by case basis where every single applicant must have a solid grasp of the English language, the English legal system, and not have a strong foreign accent.

After an overnight stay in a luxury hotel they are driven to their new job as a security officer fully conversant with all aspect of UK law.🤣😂

That name immediately sounded familiar, Plastic Omnium, was a firm my old employer used to deal with, can't remember exactly what, but I think they supplied resins or regrind for moulding of automotive parts, something like that. its a long time since I worked there!
By looking at the drone footage, & the contents of the scrap bins, definitely car bumpers, being made or processed there.
NOT ALLOWED! You can only film the cheap premesis! Btw you need a soundboard so you can play a cheer and air horns with the worlds strongest Indian accent saying not allowed every time someone says not allowed you can hit it.

99% of videos watch have the same security people, none English background…why? Is it a firm that uses ethnic workers? They also don’t know the laws, not that others do, but sometimes the language barrier is unreal.
