Great Review. I think that you may find those leather seats are an optional extra in the Uk. The standard JCW seats are the red/black part leather alcantara sports seats. Personally, I prefer the leather ones but I'm the wrong side of 50. My JCW arrives next week, can't wait...
Just put an order in for one so can’t wait. One thing that struck me on your review was the issue with the laggy steering. I hope I don’t find the same problem 😬. I’ve had a Cooper D and and Countryman JCW for a long weekend each and didn’t have a problem so we’ll see.
Oh it's minimal man. Only reason is because I'm comparing to the older generations that's all. Hard to explain and laggy isn't the right word. The electronic steering makes the car feel heavier than it actually is. Maybe that's a better way
Remove run flats and lower by 30mm. Steering get used to it after a few drives. It’s a really fun drive but use the adaptable suspension so it’s softer on bad roads. I don’t like the weak paint.
Carbon tailpipes changes nothing, the JCW exhaust valvetronic though yes it does change the sound. if it worth is personal taste, if you lie VERY loud exhaust yes. Although the non "JCW" option is still very burbly and loud, just more managable and less annoying. For me starting my 30 and liking classy stuff, the normal JCW is enough fun and loud
I greed with you about the steering and the slower response, I have a 2017 cooper s and I got a loaner 2019 and I can tell the difference. My 2017 has a standard suspension which it makes the car more responsive
basically its BMWs fancy way of saying 'facelift', which is when they redesign the look of the car to a certain extent, without changing the model name

My 2018 JCW looks as good if not better than that car you drove. No cheap plastics in my car, 2019 was not the first year they made improvements. FYI.
I kinda meant the f56 compared to the r56 and r53 as said on the video. 👌 It's the exact same car pre LCI and LCI mate. All good. Lol
