That skirt being detachable is such a great idea!!! It lets you put on a more practical skirt or even trousers for after the wedding yet letting you keep the look during the reception. Love it

Back in 1981, when Lady Di married that "Chuck" dude with the big ears, we were watching the royal wedding at work on a portable TV my boss brought in. My boss was a designer and maker of couture clothing, and I and another lady were seamstress/tailors who did much of the sewing. Especially the hand work. We kind of saved up our handwork for that day so we could sew while watching the wedding. We were crazy about Princess Di's dress, and how elegant everything was. Even ol' Chuck was looking pretty good! Now that I've seen THIS dress, Princess Di's dress seems almost frumpy! This is a work of art.
