I’m perimenopausal, and have struggled with weight gain in my middle. Over the summer I added in walking to my TA routine as my main form of cardio, and the weight in my middle started to fall off - FINALLY! I too fall in and out of my commitment to the TA Method, but I always make sure I walk. The weight stays off, and TA is there for me to build back into my routine when life calms down. Every vain benefit that you mentioned is a benefit that I experience ALL from just walking. I think I love it more than TA!

Another GREAT and probably best way to make walking a regular habit is to adopt a dog. Because of my dog I walk 45 mins to 1 hour every day. Even when I don't feel like walking I have an obligation to make sure he goes outside to do his thing. And once there it makes so much easier to keep going. Thanks for the informative video!

I love walking!! They don’t call them “hot girl walks” for nothing 😂 I work from home so when weather permits (south Florida constant rain 🙄) I’ll walk before work, on lunch break and after. I’ve heard lots of little walks are better than one long one.
    LOVED this video! 😍

If I didn't walk here in England with the constant rain, I'd never leave the house.

I love walking because it's so easy and you don't really need any special clothes unless the weather is impossible. It takes us 20 minutes to walk to our nearest hypermarket and it's so convenient because we usually walk there and back. And we have to go several times a week because you cannot buy as much because you have to carry it home.
People shouldn't worry too much about taking 10 000 steps. It's not based on scientific evidence but it was decided by the company that invented the first pedometer. The word 10 000 is lucky to Japanese and it's a nice round number so it was included to the name of the product. I once heard that you can get the benefits of walking if you walk about 6000 steps a day. I think it was based on real research but I haven't read the paper so I might be wrong.

Love this video!!! I have really bad lumbar scoliosis and DDD. I was unaware how bad until I trained to the point that I herniated 2 discs….it was the absolute worst pain of my life…I couldn’t sit upright for 2 weeks and got to the point I could barely walk this past July. I went on bed rest and SLOWLY began moving again. Swimming, then slowly walking. I’m now walking 2 miles almost every day! I feel so much better and I agree, the cravings are no where near what I had when I was interval training. I also love the “vain” portion…you speak my speak😅

With the bone density thing- I imagine this would also improve facial aging, as we get older our bones shrink in our faces leading to sagging and hollowness. Aging isn’t all about the effects on the skin, bones are just as important!

Fabulous video Rachel 😊This is great timing as I’m traveling this week and not sure if I’m going to want to do TA in my hotel room or rest my body for the 5 days of travel and incorporate walking when I can during the day/after meals. I don’t track my steps anymore since it definitely played into becoming obsessive and I’m still learning my hunger cues which is a priority for my health. That being said any videos on how you learned and worked with hunger cues would be great! I know you’ve mentioned some books in the past with your binge disorder however my area is finding how realistically what symptoms etc you could tell it was time to eat. Have a wonderful week & Happy Halloween 🎃

The way I get walking is when I’m out for a medical appointment or going to the store or getting Dunkins/Starbucks I walk around and I walk on an incline at the gym when the weather is crap. When I can’t walk or go to the gym I hop on my Elliptical Stairmaster and listen to music or watch Netflix.

Thank you, @@RundownwithRachel! And I’m not a “new” fan, by the way! Hope you’re doing well. I’m thinking about starting to do videos for my own youtube channel, and would appreciate some tips from you. Wondering if I can just start by taping and uploading from my iphone, maybe doing audio with a “decent” handheld or clip microphone (clipped to my top). And, I’ve been a “yuge” fan of rebounding for YEARS- like 20+, so I’ve appreciated your enthusiasm since I first found yr channel. “Normally,” I also have a vibration plate, but right now I’m at home in Italy, and I don’t yet have one here, but like you, I also appreciated the similarities between these two workouts. Today and most days, in addition to doing squats and planks and floorwork, walking, using my ballet barre, dumbbells and kettlebell, I just do mini-sessions on my rebounder. Feels so good! So, yaaay, us! 😊👍🏽 vote november 💙💙💙😏 Thanks again, Rachel!
