  • In A Violent Nature left me completely grossed out and somehow at peace by the time I finished it. Chris Nash has created a truly unique slasher that harkens back to the days of backwoods slashers such as Madman, The Burning, and obviously, Friday the 13th. With some of the most over-the-top death scenes I've seen in a while, Johnny is a future slasher icon and I'm all for it!
Please like this video, but whatever you do, don't steal Johnny's mothers necklace!

I was so excited for this and checked it out this morning. Yes I enjoyed the brutal kills, the effects were good, and the cinematography was good. But my god, it was so damn boring. No tension, or any horror aspects (other then the kills), bad acting, an uninteresting and boring killer. I wanted to like it, and I really tried to enjoy it. But it was a disappointment for me unfortunately.

Ah sorry to hear that! I understand it’s not for everyone but I think the positives outweigh the negatives. The acting is solid enough for what it’s trying to accomplish. I’m gonna give it a rewatch soon and see if I’m still as hyped on it. Still though, if they do a sequel I could see them stepping up everything the first was lacking, similar to what Terrifier did. I appreciate you tuning in dude!

Saw this last night. Appreciated the effects tremendously, and the pacing didn’t bother me, I can see people getting bored. It’s about what you want to get out of this style of movie, it’s not about the story, and the tension is nearly non existent thanks to the nature of this “experiment” but what it aims to do, it succeeds! Great movie

I enjoyed it more the second time I watched it. Maybe because the audience the second time was more into it and lots of laughs, especially the way he gets the mask. And one kill they erupted into kaos for like a minute, even applause

Yea the theater experience was crazy! I was worried I wouldn’t like it as much on second viewing but it was the opposite

I know it’s probably not the popular opinion but I love the concept here and the execution, other than the last 10 or so min of the movie I loved it, near perfect for me

I am so excited to watch this movie to spend time with the killer vs the victims so for this particular movie, the characters Johnny will kill are just to serve him with opportunities and us with violence. It’s bizarre some wanted a regular slasher from a movie that promised exactly what I believe it will deliver: time with the killer.

It’s definitely a unique experience. There’s been other movies where you see things from the killers POV for an extended period of time but never like this. I think you’ll love it from the sounds of it!

I just left the theaters, not gunna lie man, idk how I feel about it. Very disturbing, and honestly kind of a pointless movie - but we can have a civil discussion about it hahah

That’s what I initially thought but after I sat with it for a while and thought about it I kinda like it. I appreciate that they didn’t go for the cliche ending.

I’ve been told it’s just a walking man simulator with flashes of cool kills but idk movie of the year not my horror movie of the year I thought first omen was the body horror and imagery that set it apart most the shudder movies haven’t impressed me this year, I liked sting so you have some good horror options but after Halloween ends I just don’t think I can take another slasher let down

Wow! Did we watch the same movie? This movie was awful! Nothing at all scary about following the killer through the woods. It was soooo boring! I hated it! Glad you enjoyed it though.

Yup, this was a massive snooze fest with 90 seconds worth of decent shock, and 90 minutes of cinematic garbage.
This movie is COMPLETELY RAZZIE WORTHY and will be recognized as such.
Do yourselves a favor and avoid this like the COVID.
No to low budget, no original story, terrible acting, “JOHNNY” most worthless villain EVER!!
    This was atrocious!!!😡🤬
I need the middle finger emoji for the movie and this dude.
