Just found this today 18/12/23. Cannot believe its 12 years old. Best cooking video I have ever seen. No silly music or zooming in and out, just excellent, practical teaching, thoroughly explaining not just the how's but also the why's. Loved the no nonsense approach to curries. Just googled Nisha and found she has done a lot more videos so will be watching them.

I love how your videos are more about giving people the knowledge to create their own curries rather than just providing a recipe for people to follow blindly. I've made several different curries based on this video and all of them have been lovely.

Me too. Came out amazing and even better the second and third time. My wife loves it and is amazed I can make such great tastes. Thanks Nisha. A wealth of information presented very clearly. We are eating so much better now than the usual trashy English carb, fat and sugar diet.

i've been making home curries for months now but still learned a lot from this video, i think i'll simplify, i'm clearly putting too much in and trying too hard.. my portion sizes are massive too, i love that you had exactly 2 bowls worth.. my curries always end up with too much concentration of the spices, they're overpowering... so will drastically tone it down.

Now I am inspired. I love Chicken curry. I'm off to the supermarket in a moment. I had my first Indian Curry at 8 years old. It was extremely hot for me but too delicious to put down. At 10 years old, on a London trip, I had a craving for a real Indian Curry and found an Indian restaurant where the owner wore a turban. It was 1974 and I was probably the first white kid ever to have walked into an Indian restaurant in London. The owner warned me that it was going to be hot but I wasn't worried. I said nothing - I wanted the genuine article. And I was satisfied.
