Just finished getting a Big Brass block into my 2019 Indonesian Squier Stratocaster. Probably the most extreme before and after case, as I went from a shorty pot-metal hollow block that weighed maybe 5 ounces (150 grams) to the Big Brass Block (very heavy). The sound difference is astonishing, especially in clean amplification: clearer, brighter, and more mids & bottom end with much better tone (sound) separation. It's really, really shocking how much better it is. For dirty, like hard rock & metal, night and day. Highly recommended! Thanks Adam!

quite possibly the best video on trem block comparisons. simple sustain test, open chords, only wish we could've heard some hard rhythm strumming... only then you can hear the maximum harmonic output of the guitar.
it is great for observing the effect of material density on sound. the more density, the slower sound will travel: Ti has 4.5 g/cm3; Brass has 8.5 g/cm3; Copper has 8.96g/cm3. i loved the titanium block: you can clearly hear the fast vibrating harmonics (small wavelengths, sound travels faster through it); meanwhile in brass, the harmonics are slow-vibrating (big wavelengths), more so in the copper block. it all comes down to which you prefer. i like my overtones fast, and i have a thing for piercing high overtones: titanium favors the higher partials, so...

I use the “L” Brass block and I absolutely love the sustain and note definition it brings to my guitar. What the video can’t capture is the how much more responsive my guitar feels. It’s hard to explain but it adds a little magic to the guitars feel.

I Love the Big Blocks ! I use the Brass ones and a Copper one. In my case it increases the output, sustain and adds a lot to your overall tone (Definition and clarity.) Once you've built one into your guitar the difference is noticeable when playing your electric guitar acoustically.
Want more ? Add the Naval Brass inserts and a Naval Brass locking nut for instance.
Oh and don't forget the the PMS (brass bar) which you can install to put your pick up on. It'll do wonders !!
But hey, it's all up to personal taste........ I'm a tone hunter. ;-)

I do have a 8mm brass block installed. I am thinking about upgrading to a fatter block to gain more clarity and overtones. Will I notice any difference? The new block should be a slanted 12mm. Thank you in advance!

I like the copper best. For me the brass compared to copper muddies up both the clean and distorted tones slightly, note separation gets somewhat lost. This is also true on 2 of my guitars that have the brass blocks installed, although the brass is still an upgrade from most stock blocks for sure. Thanks for this vid!

Does the tone block on a floyd really do all that much? I feel like its impact on tone/sustain is greatly diminished since the strings don’t run through the block like they do on most non-locking trems. I could be wrong. I have mostly non-locking trems, and on those I have noticed pretty big improvements in tone and sustain when using brass blocks, since the strings are running through, and vibrating inside, literally making contact with the block itself. On a floyd, the strings are only contacting the saddles, which in turn make contact with the bridge plate, which, finally, makes contact with the block. More “middle men” to chip away at tone/sustain in that equation.

The biggest difference between Brass and Titanium is the increased bass of the titanium block, right?

The brass block sounds huge, do you know what size would fit in a MIJ or MIC Wolfgang? I’ve fitted alternative blocks in the past but they’ve been too big for the route and I couldn’t dive the trem all the way without the block fouling on the under body

Great demo but one suggestion for future demos. I think it would be very beneficial to volume match all these samples so we can hear what the block is doing strictly to the tone. The brass in these clips are obviously louder (whether that is inherently due to the brass or was recorded/mixed louder is irrelevant). Also the brass mixdown here sounds like it is clipping somewhere in the chain (especially apparent on the clean demo). Overall these demos are very appreciated and I am now an owner of your tone blocks!

It should fit on any floyd rose special, original, or 1500 series.
Any other floyd license wont fit,(sometimes)
But for floyd rose pro wont fit
It has a different screw dimension block
      Meaning
The block from the Floyd Rose pro is more narrower than what you get from your stock Floyd rose blocks

The Titanium sounds more hi fi and more sustain. The brass is more sustain but doesnt sound as good and the copper about the same sustain as the titanium but not as crisp sounding. I listened a bunch of times, the Titanium has the best clear tone. The brass sounds like a fuzz box. They all sound fine and im sure you can make adjustments but that Hi Fi sound seems like a better starting point.

The tone difference is obvious to the ear which means its also a big improvement. I have personally purchased and installed many blocks made from different materials with happy results. I have also invented a stupidity obvious device that will improve sustain and enhance the existing tone of any guitar with any fulcrum tremolo of and make on any guitar and considering your passion for this industry welcome a inquiry with me to discuss a licensing agreement with FU tone to use your marketing structure and my device to improve the way every guitar with a fulcrun trem sounds and should in future be logically included as standard stock equipment. Let us take Leo Fender and Mr. Floyd Roses designs to the modern world. Of course waiting for our great nations government to grant my patent on this invention. Once anyone with a minimal amount of common sense sees this devices everyone of them will exclaim "why hasn't this been a part of all tremolos as an MANDATORY OEM inclusion. Thank you
