I always love your tips but please don't ever use coffee grounds, coconut oil or citrus on your face, the coffee grounds are away too rough on your facial skin, the coconut oil can clog most people's pores(even if your washing it off) and citrus can damage your skin so bad!!!
Not to mention that bottled/boxed orange juice barely has any actual vitamin C left in them. So you're basically just putting sugary water with citric acid on your face.
@@ArtsyCupcake yes you can use it on your body because the skin on your body can take the abrasiveness but on your face you would be doing more damage than good
I use a mixture of lemon juice and water as a toner. You want it to sting just a bit so start with 3 parts water to one part lemon juice. Gradually switch the mix rate as your skin stops tingling ( that’s how you know it’s working) to 3:1 lemon juice: water. It REALLY cleared my skin after my evening routine. Since there’s no sugar in it, you are getting citric acid, vitamin C, and water! Feels good, too. I exfoliate no more than once a week and only use baking soda as it has a smaller and more uniform surface for the job so it doesn’t damage the skin. I just mixed it right into my facial cleanser
Fair point about fresh grounds, but the ones Shae's using have gone through her espresso machine first and are therefore soft. And I wouldn't use them on the face except for the lips, but sugar is just so much better... Talking about microtears: a version of that was my first concern when I first heard about microneedling: how is microneedling supposed to be good in the long run? Wouldn't it lead to the buildup of scar tissue and thus rougher skin with prolonged use?

Thank you ❤️
To everyone hating on the coconut oil til I just want to say I've been using coconut oil on my face for YEARS and I have incredibly clear skin. I have combination/ Dry skin and I rarely ever get a pimple. A lot of my friends that use artificial make up remover always have pimples and are always breaking out. I really think it depends on the kind of skin you have and the climate you live in. I live in AZ btw so the air here is soo dry.
Well not everybody can take coconut oil, actually, most can't, I think. It's very heavy and comedogenic and it leaves a film that you can't really wash out with water. You have dry skin that must be very resilient so you can take it
Love these tips - can't wait to try some of them out! I have been adding a few drops of frankincense oil and few drops of lavender oil to some extra virgin olive oil....I use an exfoliator on my hands a few nights a week and then follow up immediately with my oil mixture before bed...makes your hands baby soft and I think it is supposed to fade age spots over time too..

I also use the spoolie for removing mascara but i would not recommend coconut oil or orange juice on the face, i had a lot of issues with my skin and had to look more into skincare. Essential oils can be skin sensitizing on the long run, there are so many good oily that can be used instead : rosehip ,jojoba ,grape seed, marula, argan.... for each skin type there is an oil that is safe to use without causing harm.

I’ve been using Frankincense and Rosehip Oil as my moisturizer for a few years. RHO doesn’t work well for everyone but it does work for me. I am 44 with no wrinkles at all! (And I’ve had no work done, no Botox, no fillers).
Great tip re hairline. I use a larger blush brush and some colored hair powder and it really helps. Wear a bonnet for bed or you’ll have dirty pillowcases
I agree, I've been doing that too for a long time and it's the only way I'll look great! (my face is darker, so any foundation I use there has to be much lighter, like my neck; then, it's amazing 💖😍😁)

Thank you so much for your awesome tips Sweet Shea-! 🙏😘💞
I guess some things work for some people. Coconut oil has worked great on my face. But aloe vera plant/gel has always made my face breakout. Gotta try everything to find the magic
Great tips. A makeup sponge will also remove mascara from your eyelids, it’s amazing. I’ve never heard of adding frankincense to my face !!! Thanks for the tip , I’ll try it tonight?
I love your videos! But since I'm here, I'm gonna clarify just a little thing. Rubbing orange juice all over your face, unfortunately, won't give the expected benefits: vitamin C is water soluble, and won't penetrate the skin since this last has a natural lipidic barrier. So, it sits just there and decomposes very quickly, so it won't have any whatsoever effect. The acidity of the solution, however (if properly diluted) could work as a toner because it helps rebalancing the pH of the skin after cleansing. But be careful because too acid solutions could be drying and harmful!
Coconut oil has done wonders for my skin. I’ve used it for years and my skin is clear and my make up always goes on so smooth. The citric acid in fresh squeezed orange juice breaks up the dead skin & speeds up new cell turnover.
I have extremely sensitive skin. No problems with coconut oil. It actually prevents skin irritation and clogging. It is very protective for dry air and windy days outdoors.. Please calm down people. It works wonders!
I started to like watching you not only because of your informative videos, but because of your funny and entertaining way of talking. Keep up gorgeous.
Almond oil or jojoba oil does a great job at moisturizing skin and removing makeup. Fyi on Frankincense, it can be harsh on skin so add to the almond or jojoba oil sparingly. Neroli oil, although more expensive, is less harsh. Thanks for the fun videos!
Any blondes out there that have tried products for your hairline? I’d be curious how well it blends, how natural it looks, etc. Definitely not sure I could get away with using eye shadow!
Absolutely! When I have plenty of time, I use the WOW brand www.colorwowhair.com/us/root-cover-up. When I'm tight on time, I reach for L' Oreal. Both products blend well, they're just different. Wow is like eyeshadow applied to the scalp with a wide brush and L' Oreal is like (forgive me here;) spray paint for hair. It took me a minute to figure out how far away to hold the can because distance determines the width of coverage. I still apply mine in short strokes. Getting the color right was important for me, so I asked my stylist for help. I wouldn't be without either product. Love them both!
I actually just saw a video in which Samantha Ravandahl (a blonde beauty youtuber) uses her eyebrow powder to do it! Looked very seamless and natural. I’m sure that allows for a more forgiving color match and easy blending. I think she used an Anastasia brow powder, but I know a lot of blondes like MAC “omega” eyeshadow as a natural brow color, and it’s very gently pigmented. I’m sure anything along those lines would work great! Experiment at night before you wash your face 😂
I’d try the same shade you would use for filling in your brows. By the way, I use the root sprays and a trick (or downside) to those are you have to seal them with hairspray. If you don’t, everything that touches your hair will be stained. Fingers, pillows if you are in-between washes, hats, scarves etc. I hate the stuff tbh, I’m a brown/black hair color, but it’s the best option out right now for when I am between root touch ups.
Well, I tried the coffee grinds and coconut oil scrub and I think it worked great. Yea, this isnt something you would use every day, its very exfoliating and moisturizing. Also great bc it doesnt have chemicals that irritate my skin. Thanks for the tip!
Shea, you are so funny! I crack up when you are lively and tell your dry jokes. You are so entertaining. Keep up the does and don't videos, plus all the tricks and tips, along with the fashion videos.
I have oily skin and I have used organic coconut oil for years to remove my make up. No one believes I'm 42, I have no wrinkles and very rarely any breakouts at all😊. Find what works for you!
Shea, THANK YOU, the hair soft high/or lowlights is what I’ve been doing in the salon for years, about time someone admitted this is the key to pretty hair. I’m so over bayliage I could tear my har out by the root! It’s a look we will wonder, what we’re we thinking?
Love your tips. I love using coconut oil, but i hear so many are so sensitive to it. i get a big no no all the time, but i promise it protects, as well as moisturizes my skin. I have been looking for a natural perfume for forever!!! Thankyou so much, but i peaked and i wondered if you knew of any more affordable ones? i usually mix oils, but sometimes I just want that nice perfumy smell. Love these tips!! Thankyou!!
Since I don't have anything major to hide, I prefer using BB cream. The Cover Girl Matte BB cream is my go to when I just went to look flawless and since I have acne prone skin, I don't break out and it so helps to control that annoying oily shine during the day. When making an error with mascara. I simply use a Q-tip tipped into Micellar Water and without even rubbing much the mascara is removed and you can continue to look flawless.
I lived in Ethiopia for a couple of years and it was common to burn frankincense. It smells SO good and soothing and nostalgic. I would try your last tip just for that.
Your videos are always so informative and I love your enthusiasm and the fact that you have so much fun with everything. Makes me smile no matter what kind of day I'm having.
Okay love all the advice but I am horrified you are suggesting coffee, coconut oil and orange juice on the face! Coconut oil will clog pores in most people, coffee grounds need to be sanitized before they go near the skin as they grow mold instantly and they are too rough for the skin, and Vitamin C needs to be stabilized before it can go on the skin which OJ is not. This is why caffeine and vitamin C are in more pricier items because they have to go threw quite a process to become safe for the skin.
She isn't saying use the oil and leave it, just a few minutes during your skincare routine if you need it. Same with the coffee grounds. Obviously don't scrub it as hard as possible into your face, don't use it daily, etc.
No it doesn’t depend on your skin type. Yes you may not find coconut oil as pore clogging but it is definitely not moisturizing and people who claim it is don’t really understand what moisturizing is and how to do it properly. Coffee grounds like any other homemade physical scrubs are too rough for the skin simply because the particles aren’t perfectly round so they create tiny microtears on the skin. And just because you don’t see the negative impact of your skincare practices (lime juice?!!!) right now doesn’t mean you won’t see them down the road. Seriously people there are so many dermatologists on RUclips you can follow and still people take advice from influencers.
@@AsKatherina but obviously a RUclips dermatologist is the answer... I have been to 5 different dermatologist in my life and my skin always ends up hurting... every skin is different, for me, scrubbing my face every other day works wonders... I have a clarisonic, I also use dove exfoliating body polish or simply my scrub mitten... my dermatologist told me not to, that my skin needs 8 days to regenerate after exfoliating, I started doing it as they advised, next I had a breakout. You know your body better than no one else, simply listen and observe it
No obviously listening to RUclips influencers is the answer to your skincare concerns. I had acne for most of my life and used to do crazy things like that myself. It ever occurred to you that perhaps the problem is not that you aren’t exfoliating enough but simply that your exfoliation is taking place of a cleanser and by not exfoliating you also aren’t removing makeup/sunscreen and dirt and grime that’s on your face after a long day? There are multiple reasons why you may have broken out- but I can guarantee it isn’t because you aren’t exfoliating enough
Blown away! This video is GOLD! My fave tip is the Vaseline and the perfume! BTW, you couldn't look prettier if you tried, Shea. Prettiest girl on RUclips! 💕💕💕💕
I have extremely dry skin. Coconut oil is fantastic fir dry skin. It has antibacterial properties.. Since I have dry skin, I do not have a breakout issue. You have to know your skin type & go from there. That being said, Shea is right about the coconut oil. I am 45 & most people think I am 32-34 years old.
I had a hard time finding face cleansers that work for my skin and also contains exfoliating beads/granules in it. My skin needs to be exfoliated daily otherwise my foundation sits on top of dead flaky skin and it looks bad and textured. Now I use those stretchy shower gloves that you use to wash your body in the shower. Put them on after wetting ur face and after pumping a bit of your face wash into each hand, massage your face. It’s a physical exfoliant that can be reused daily and doesn’t add any actual ingredients to your face wash. If you use this tip make sure to rinse the gloves thoroughly and hang dry after each use to keep them clean for next use.
It is comedogenic ,especially on oily skin !! I can't use coconut oil on my face ,I get whiteheads & bumps everytime ! But,for dry skin not so bad . But,yes it is comodegenic indeed !💜🥁🎵🐉🎤🎶💞
Hi Shea, I love your channel and usually use several tips. Your tips for Vaseline and Frankincense are appreciated. FYI: I just turned 70 and still love your tips. See...you can teach an old dog new tricks! 🥰
I really liked your tips, but, I question the mixing of additional ingredients to products that have already been mixed. Is that a good idea? Again thank you for your tips.
Love the tips! Just wanna point out that I have tried the coconut oil + coffee grounds mix and it was amazing for the skin, but a pain in the ass to clean up the sink 😰 Next time I'll just use water instead...
Interesting!! I havnet had too much trouble but I know what you mean. The coconut oil just feels SO good on my skin! I only do it for about 5-10 seconds and then wash it off. But using just water works too!! :)
THANK YOU! These ideas actually sound credible and doable. Never mind that, if you use them, theu certainly work well. You look absolutely gorgeous and dont even look made up to boot!
Oh I mix my double wear with my moisturizer and a couple drops of my rose hip oil to give me a more natural look! Really changed my morning routine. I might have to try that foundation brush though.
The root coverup works great in a pinch, but my stylist has had more trouble coloring my roots since. While she's able to cover the gray, where I had applied the coverup always came out lighter than the rest of my hair.
I always love your tips but please don't ever use coffee grounds, coconut oil or citrus on your face, the coffee grounds are away too rough on your facial skin, the coconut oil can clog most people's pores(even if your washing it off) and citrus can damage your skin so bad!!!

Coffee grounds straight from the grinder are not safe and can cause micro tears on your skin. Get a professional product with coffee to avoid this!
Beauty Geek also, coconut oil is not great for most skins, so breakouts are very possible with this combo

same i use my fingertips, brushes or blenders dont work on me
You mean the the way most professional make up artists apply make up and the way we have been doing it for 100 years?
It looks horrid on my skin when I try that
😭 you must have really great skin to be able to do that
Well, I tried the coffee grinds and coconut oil scrub and I think it worked great.
I have to try your tricks , you look fabulous!
Balayage. No “I”.
I'm always excited to see new videos from you! You always have great, super helpful tips. Please keep them coming 😊
Awe thank you Cassie - I really appreciate you saying that!!!
Thankyou!!
The effort u exert in preparing ur videos is highly appreciated ❤️ BTW ur sweater looks gorgeous on u 💕
That’s so kind of you to say...I truly appreciate that!!❤️
@@SheaWhitney looking forward to your next video ❤️💕❤️
Since I don't have anything major to hide, I prefer using BB cream. The Cover Girl Matte BB cream is my go to when I just went to look flawless and since I have acne prone skin, I don't break out and it so helps to control that annoying oily shine during the day.
When making an error with mascara. I simply use a Q-tip tipped into Micellar Water and without even rubbing much the mascara is removed and you can continue to look flawless.
You did it again Shea... another great video😍😍
Wow thanks Gaby - I'm so glad you think so!!!
Shea watching you and your awesome tips is always time well spent!
"Coconut oil is so good for your face" any Susan Yara watchers cringed with me ? 😖
You don't leave it on long, just a few minutes during your skincare routine
coconut oil is amazing for removing eye makeup!!!
@@nigguhplzx6672 but that doesn't mean that coconut oil is good for your face. It isn't.
Wikroria Ebertowska 🖐 I cant believe she’s sharing this!!
100% !!! And the coffee grounds too😭
You have done so much research on products, I appreciate your effort!
I enjoy watching your videos and always interested in beauty tips.
Thank you
Note: in order for the spoolie to remove the mascara from your eyelid, you must first allow the mascara to fully dry. 😉
Yes! Major key point! Must be dry
THANK you. I have heard about the spoolie removing mascara before and now this and it never works for me. I will try this when it dries now!
LOL you definitely got me hooked on the tart foundation brush❤️❤️
It depends on your skin type and sensitivity, I can use lime juice once a week and my skin looks amazing... she is not saying to do it every day
No it doesn’t depend on your skin type.
Also for the hair tip, batiste has dry shampoos that are tinted that can be used for that too
Yea thats so true!
Blown away! This video is GOLD! My fave tip is the Vaseline and the perfume! BTW, you couldn't look prettier if you tried, Shea. Prettiest girl on RUclips! 💕💕💕💕
My mother taught me this foundation and moisturizer mix trick , she did it all her life
Love this video.... I love how excited you are ..... Love love love great video Shea
Ahh thank you so much!!!!❤️❤️❤️
Clean Air is my absolute favorite perfume, but doesn't last. Can't wait to try the vaseline trick
What was the exact name of the foundation brush I can't access the link? Love the videos and great tips BTW 😍
It's the Buffer Airbrush Finish Bamboo Foundation Brush by Tarte. I know it's on Ulta.com, probably also on Tarte.com, maybe.
@@Throatzillaaa Thank you!!!
They have it on Sephora as well
@@ECmom thank you!!!
Thanks for the 15 ways ... I plan to try them!!! Lots of new ideas! Great!
Thanks for these tips. I immediately went to pick my coffee, the scrub was great! Hugs from france.
These are all great tips! I use lemons instead of orange juice, but for the same thing.
That's a great tip too!!!
Hey, I think you should do a video on 'Watches every girl should own' for all the different occasions like office, date night, party, outing etc..
Where did you get that green sweater!?
I NEED that 😍
I got it from JustFab!!! Like a couple days ago!
Shea Whitney
You’re the best! ☺️ thank you!
I love the sweater too!
If you use this tip make sure to rinse the gloves thoroughly and hang dry after each use to keep them clean for next use.
coconut oil is actually very camedogenic 🤦🏼♀️
it's comedogenic
Depends on your skin.. once I started using TRETNOIN it doesn’t break out my face anymore
It's tretinoin
It is absolutely comedogenic!! But...if you mix the coffee grounds with coconut oil and use on you body...perfecto!
It is comedogenic ,especially on oily skin !! I can't use coconut oil on my face ,I get whiteheads & bumps everytime ! But,for dry skin not so bad . But,yes it is comodegenic indeed !💜🥁🎵🐉🎤🎶💞
Love your sweater!
"They brought it to Jesus you guys, it works." 😂
Hahaha it's the truth LOL!
@@SheaWhitney , maybe they were bringing it for Mary! Poor thing giving birth in a stable! 🥴
Jenny S. 😂😂
I just about dieddd when she said that 😂😂😂😂 love her!
Hi Shea, I love your channel and usually use several tips. Your tips for Vaseline and Frankincense are appreciated. FYI: I just turned 70 and still love your tips. See...you can teach an old dog new tricks! 🥰
I like. Do you know if the first hair root product has a lot of alcohol? I was told products with a lot of alcohol makes hair fall.
yes it can becareful
I love you're energy ❤❤!!
I sneezed right after I applied my mascara and the spoolie totally worked 😂
I really liked your tips, but, I question the mixing of additional ingredients to products that have already been mixed. Is that a good idea? Again thank you for your tips.
Love the tips! Just wanna point out that I have tried the coconut oil + coffee grounds mix and it was amazing for the skin, but a pain in the ass to clean up the sink 😰 Next time I'll just use water instead...
Interesting!! I havnet had too much trouble but I know what you mean. The coconut oil just feels SO good on my skin! I only do it for about 5-10 seconds and then wash it off. But using just water works too!! :)
I think BEAUTY = PAIN 😊
THANK YOU!
These ideas actually sound credible and doable. Never mind that, if you use them, theu certainly work well. You look absolutely gorgeous
and dont even look made up to boot!
Shea just a question, i thought coconut oil is bad for face because it clogs pores ... I may be wrong though
For most people it will clog your pores but some people can use anything and be fine
I personally think it’s great for skin!! I wouldn’t just leave it linger on there...but a quick gentle scrub is very moisturizing!💕
Awsome cool... I was always afraid of using it but ill start using it now 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Nio Usha it makes me break out like crazy. Be careful
It's not supposed to be like, absorbed by the skin, since you're only using it with the coffee scrub
Oh I mix my double wear with my moisturizer and a couple drops of my rose hip oil to give me a more natural look! Really changed my morning routine. I might have to try that foundation brush though.
That's a FAB idea!!! And yes, definitely give that brush a try! It's SO GOOD!
Perfect! Just as I'm binge watching your videos 💚
Awe yay!!! That makes me happy!
The root coverup works great in a pinch, but my stylist has had more trouble coloring my roots since. While she's
able to cover the gray, where I had applied the coverup always came out lighter than the rest of my hair.
You always have on the prettiest nail polish. It's so simple and clean looking. What color is it? lol
Wonderful tips. Great video. Thanks
Loved the vidoe...ur always sooo pretty and beautiful 🥰🥰♥️♥️ love your videos...Most favourite RUclipsr ♥️
You’re so sweet...thank you so much!!!💕
you should try the black cotton swabs from Amazon for wiping up mascara mistakes
Love your videos Shea! I really like the root touch up spray you mentioned. I need to go get some now!
Yes they even have some for blondes...so many shades actually!!
omg Shay i have that exact tarte brush but i didn't know what to do with it !Thank u
