You're absolutely right. With the cost of living so high, people are barely making it through the month, there's hunger all over the world, and yet here we are with this untouchable bubble-the fashion world. They're doing everything to convince us to buy something because "you must have it in your wardrobe," and two months later, they tell you it's no longer in style. It's insane.
@@rikiklein7870 We are so fortunate in this country, if you have 2 pair of shoes you are considered "rich" by most people around the world that have 1 pair of shoes, usually the ones their wearing. Yep I agree. The other purses that she showed in her video are trending right now. I think it's more of showing what's trending not that Crossbody bags are not in style. They are functional and will always be something that people use. I can't imagine traveling with one of those bags.
I will still wear my cross body bags, I’m a really absent-minded person so it’s just from a practical reason. I don’t want to lose it. The rest I absolutely agree.Love your sense of humour sure Shea❤
Same here. I have a couple of cross body bags of a very high quality. Just take a step over the border and buy some beautiful pieces in Italy. They are beautiful and functional at the same time :-)) Greetings from Austria and A Merry Christmas...
Some people wear Apple Watch for things like blood oxygen monitoring (asthma) or heart rate, or other health monitoring purposes. I hate how it looks too, it’s never going to be a fashion statement, but it does help warn people of impending issues.
Same, and any top that hangs over a belt, bow, or button detail makes me look like I have tummy chub that doesn’t otherwise exist. Cropped or tucked all the way.
Shea, honestly agree with everything you mentioned. It blows me away with people injecting Botox and fillers…really crazy to put added stuff in our bodies, we have enough toxins around us daily, but I digressed
I appreciate the perspective! I''m a little shocked that so many people are complaining about trends when the title is "Fashion Trends that are officially Dead".Just don't watch if you hate trends lol. ! The one I'm happiest about is that lip filler is finally going away .
Apparently I've been living under a rock because I've completely missed the bows and suede clothing all together. Never saw it not even a little 🤷😂 I also just purchased a cross bag a month ago and it's super functional soooo it's a keeper. 🤭 Thank you Shea for your awesome videos.
I use crossbody bags not for the esthetics of them but I feel like they are more thief-proof when you keep them on the front. I literally had a shoulder bag cut by a knife when carrying on the side, and now I always try to keep my bags safe.
I have come to realize we are the dumb target of all marketing companies. They tell us barrel jeans are fabulous and we should all run out and buy several pairs to be “in” and like lemmings we follow along. Twelve months later they are “out”, on to the next big trend. They have created massive consumerism at our expense. We are the only ones that can stop the madness. I loved the oversize look on you. It took many fashion fails to realize at 4’11”, I looked ridiculous in any thing oversized. Unfortunately, for quite a that was all you could find. Wide leg jeans are not my friend, I’ve kept my straight leg and even skinny jean and gasp have been out of style. We must learn to dress for our own bodies, be damned with what’s “in”. You look stunning in almost everything you model, you dress for your body, not mine. The one thing I can wholeheartedly, applaud is the end of the poofy lips. I can’t for the life of me believe anyone thinks big disfiguring lips look good. They are not attractive, sexy or pleasant to look at. It is laughable that the cosmetic industry sold that joke to the masses. I love your channel and outfits you model, but I know very seldom are they meant for me, and that’s okay. Don’t get me started on the $60.00 sweat that look like jeans. 😂😂😂 Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!!!❤
I always hated the from tuck…looked so prepared and done on purpose, not at all”casual” as it was meant to be and if you had a tummy, it totally emphasized it. SO GLAD THIS TRICK IS OUT!!!!
I’m glad to see lip fillers going out of style. A little is okay on some women but a lot of times it’s overkill. I don’t care if it’s out, I’m not giving up my cross body bag. I’m a mom 😂
Will never ever give up my crossbody purses. Did I say never ever? YEP. Also until the fashion industry stops the extremely long tops especially for us short ladies I will do the front tuck. Thank God about the jeans. So hard to find just JEANS, with no rips, no discolored, low rise, Thank God its out. Good Cropped sweaters for again us short ladies. I found a few and they fit perfectly just below my waist. So I'm hoping with this new trend there will be more on Amazon. Thank you Shea.
Yes, as an hourglass, there's no way I'm gonna wear a shirt loose over my giant hips. It's extremely unflattering and also makes your legs look shorter.
All of my bags are crossbody and quite a few I purchased this year. I love being hands free. Shoulder bags slide off, it’s so annoying. I also look better with a front tuck, it’s more chic than a frumpy loose top. The others I agree on, though. Barrel jeans are hideous! No one can afford a new wardrobe every year to keep up with trends (which are just a ploy to get people to spend, spend, spend). Wear what you feel good in.
The Apple Watch also makes sense for teachers that use it as a timer to quickly be alerted of a reminder or time to transition without disrupting the students’ concentration.
I have to add that I'm glad lip filler is going out. I never liked it and I think it makes people look plastic. If your lips are not naturally full it looks fake. Just my opinion.
Hi Whitney, love your channel however, I have to say a couple things struck a chord with me. 1) That designer bags that show who made them are out of style is really a slam to people who work really hard and save up and purchase a bag like that and for me, my mom used to have Louis Vuitton and now I have several of them and they remind me of her now that she is gone. 2) The Apple Watch is not just a watch as you know. It is a life-saving device for me personally with my heart condition and falling issues. I have a Rolex. I have it safely locked away and very rarely do I wear it because I need the safety of my Apple Watch. 3) I don’t think Crossbody bags are going anywhere. They are such a secure way to toss your bag strap over your head and go without someone being able to grab it off your arm or it falling off your shoulder, etc. I wasn’t going to even say anything about this so I waited a couple days and thought I would share. You probably won’t see this message but if you do, great.
I'm sorry it struck a chord with you... but you act like she is talking just to you. She isn't. If the designer bags make you think of your mom, great! Use them. I personally think they are super tacky. That's my opinion... Nobody is saying don't use your apple watch if it is a lifesaving device. That would be like saying don't use an inhaler because they arent cool looking. And I have heard from other "influencers" that crossbody bags are out. But WHO CARES? Wear what you want. This person is just telling you what is popular right now. Don't take it to heart.
I also want to add that small businesses and handmade are really in. I don't know if they will ever be out of style but I've noticed it's definitely what's popular.
Don’t follow trends, stop trying to be like everyone else and for goodness sakes stop letting people dictate to you how you’d should be. It is a sign of weakness! I make my own damn trends 😜
I have always dressed for comfort and SELF approval instead of watching/following trends thank goodness. But I DO like to see what’s in or out (even though I will never follow the trends thank goodness, but that’s just how I roll). Love your videos.
I am wearing skinny jeans again! They look great! I never stopped wearing Golden Goose, if you have a thin foot they are extremely comfortable and very chic. For some reason influencers want to negate this entire brand but I do not think it is working because they are too cool no matter what people say.
I made to the 3:30 mark, and I’ve reached my threshold of you. The only thing you said so far that makes any sense is the no more front tuck. That’s it. Thank you much for imparting that wisdom.
Crossbody bags will still be in for safety only. Barrel jeans will be here for another year, people love them. I prefer classic style in everything. Melania Trump will bring class back!
With all the concert venues, airports, etc now banning big purses, Crossbody bags are the way to go. However, you wear what you want and makes you feel good. Large bags causes back problems so that part. My Apple Watch counts my steps, I can talk on it, and so much more. Speak for yourself. 😂
@@kelly.nicole Because some people have long (or extra long) torsos? Also, perhaps some people appreciate the extra coverage. If they want to hem the top or have it altered, they have that choice at least!

Funny when you say "nobody is wearing this anymore..." Then i step outside and everyone around is wearing, what you just said nobody is 😂 like the cross body bag..... people will never stop ditching a practical thing 😊
Crossbody bags will never go out of style. It is the most functional and suitable for every season. Not forgetting the winter heavy coats & jackets, nobody is going to carry a shoulder bag with it.
I always like these videos and then to see the comments. 😂it’s hilarious. I can definitely see large chunky cardigans aren’t as popular as they were before and the bigger bags are making a come back. I think luxury is still popular but since the luxury brands make it more difficult to purchase plus the decline of the economy you just don’t see as many purchasing like in years past. Even you Shea, I notice you just don’t unboxing or maybe you buy and just don’t inbox but seems like Alot of us are just enjoying what we have. ❤❤great video.
Cross body purses are classic because convenient. I have much more things to do in my errands that constantly having to grab my purse. I've always had a cross body purse and will always will.

If you looked at RUclips videos of Europeans Xmas 2024 shopping in the streets of Milan and Sweeden, they are wearing crossbody bags. Milan is one of the fashion capitals of the world, and Sweeden has a minimalistic, sustainable and exquisite fashion culture.
I have lived in Europe and they use crossbody bags because Europeans walk everywhere, the bags are convenient and I don't think they see it as a trend.
My bows ARE staying , crossbody bags ARE a must and ARE never going out of style ever.
Yea my bows r staying to😊
nope the older you get you wear the things you love and don’t care about trend.
Crossbody bags are still on every website and in every store that sells bags. From Target to Neiman Marcus. 🤷🏻♀️
They will always be in.
Facts
Yep I agree. The other purses that she showed in her video are trending right now. I think it's more of showing what's trending not that Crossbody bags are not in style. They are functional and will always be something that people use. I can't imagine traveling with one of those bags.
I will still wear my cross body bags, I’m a really absent-minded person so it’s just from a practical reason. I don’t want to lose it. The rest I absolutely agree.Love your sense of humour sure Shea❤
I feel that Crossbody bags worn the way they are meant to be worn help deter theft! I will always have one or a belt bag.
Same here. I have a couple of cross body bags of a very high quality. Just take a step over the border and buy some beautiful pieces in Italy. They are beautiful and functional at the same time :-))
Greetings from Austria and A Merry Christmas...
Better safe than " fashionable"..
@@mariecoleman4706 👍❤
I have carried a cross body bag for fifty years, I find it comfortable, safe, and easy. I will continue until I am too old and frail to carry a bag.
Some people wear Apple Watch for things like blood oxygen monitoring (asthma) or heart rate, or other health monitoring purposes. I hate how it looks too, it’s never going to be a fashion statement, but it does help warn people of impending issues.
I wear mine for heart monitoring and won't be parting with it.
I'm 51. Glad I wear whatever I want to wear and that's that ❤
Functional never goes out of style
Front tuck forever! I’m short and small so I look so frumpy without the tuck
Same, and any top that hangs over a belt, bow, or button detail makes me look like I have tummy chub that doesn’t otherwise exist. Cropped or tucked all the way.
Ditto! On point! I’m a shorty too!
Yesss to front tuck.
Me too…I’m sooooo short waisted with long legs!
I’m tall but I have to front tuck because my big boobs….makes my top or sweater tank out like I’m pregnant or something.
I don’t care, I wear what I want ! Always have, always will……
Apparently I've been living under a rock because I've completely missed the bows and suede clothing all together. Never saw it not even a little 🤷😂
I also just purchased a cross bag a month ago and it's super functional soooo it's a keeper. 🤭
Thank you Shea for your awesome videos.
Me too Lol
@@nancydowns3045same here, was clueless about suede
Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!!!❤
A totally sane comment. I agree 100%
People wear what they like what u say is not what everyone thinks sorry 2:39
Agreed 💯 especially the tuck in front; that is very flattering for pettite women in particular but I think for many women in general
Natural beauty is always timeless 🥂
The shirt tuck helps some of us who are petite show off shape .
Yes ! Like most of the "trends" it really depends on how you feel and Look like.
I'm not petite at all, 5'11" very muscular build and I need the front tuck to look out together.
I always hated the from tuck…looked so prepared and done on purpose, not at all”casual” as it was meant to be and if you had a tummy, it totally emphasized it. SO GLAD THIS TRICK IS OUT!!!!
I agree. The look appears too contrived.
Not for my body type at all!!!
I’m glad to see lip fillers going out of style. A little is okay on some women but a lot of times it’s overkill. I don’t care if it’s out, I’m not giving up my cross body bag. I’m a mom 😂
Cross Body bags are the best, will not give that up.
Shea, where do you get your information from? Is this all just your opinion?
Will never ever give up my crossbody purses. Did I say never ever? YEP. Also until the fashion industry stops the extremely long tops especially for us short ladies I will do the front tuck. Thank God about the jeans. So hard to find just JEANS, with no rips, no discolored, low rise, Thank God its out. Good Cropped sweaters for again us short ladies. I found a few and they fit perfectly just below my waist. So I'm hoping with this new trend there will be more on Amazon. Thank you Shea.
@@terwya MORE cropped tops on Amazon now?? I have seen soooo many this year!
I never thought of a front tuck as a trend. It’s simply a way to make an outfit flatter your body, which to me is what’s important (for myself)
Exactly !
Yesss
Yes, as an hourglass, there's no way I'm gonna wear a shirt loose over my giant hips. It's extremely unflattering and also makes your legs look shorter.
Thank you!!! I see all these outfits without the tuck and they look so bad on me
All of my bags are crossbody and quite a few I purchased this year.
I just bought a shoulder bag yesterday 😂
Crossbody bags are the best, hand free n easy to use ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Crossbody bag can never be out of style
These videos are fun. I like knowing what's in - what's out. I wear what I like. Keep it up Shea, Thku😊
I’ll never give up my cross body bags.
@@Mo-mt7co I didn’t ask your opinion and I really don’t care to hear you lecture me. Bye!
I’m all about what I LIKE! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Shop second hand first!
Yes. Yes. And yes!
Well said.
News Flash:::: In 2025 we dont give af about what's in or out, we're going to wear styles that are flattering on us. Period ❤🎉
Wear whatever you want in 2025 and beyond. I have never followed trends, and I’m always complimented on my style.
Crossbody is here to stay. It's like luggage - there never used to be wheels on suitcases, but very few will go back to wheelless now.
It’s a good thing at my age, trends don’t matter to me. Good pieces that are classic looking never go out of style.😊❤
Can lip filler just be gone for good?! It’s so weird IMO. I miss just natural unique beauty.
And BBL’s!!!
I am allergic to PABA and if I use a chap stick that contains PABA my lips swell. Cheap lip enhancer 😜
Shea you will say anything to sell the products you are told to sell for Amazon just to get paid.
Shea, your fashion sense is truly enlightening. Absolutely love your ideas and predictions. Thank you for great advice❤❤❤
Thankfully, I never got on board with any of those trends as I actually didn't like them, but the crossbody bag I will wear forever.
I have always dressed for comfort and SELF approval instead of watching/following trends thank goodness. But I DO like to see what’s in or out (even though I will never follow the trends thank goodness, but that’s just how I roll). Love your videos.
🤣😂😅🤣😂🤣😅 I wrote the above comment before you said what you did about going to the comments part. 😂🤣😅😂 Proves you are 100% correct!
I only went longer bc I was in comments, she's annoying
Crossbody bags are a utility for me to free my hands, and I've been known to sit my purse down and walk off. I'll never give up my crossbody bag.
Crossbody bags will still be in for safety only. Barrel jeans will be here for another year, people love them. I prefer classic style in everything. Melania Trump will bring class back!
Cross body bags are in.
This was such a great, fun video! Thank you for posting it Shea! 💛
I JUST bought a sweater with bows attached to it. oops I like it
With all the concert venues, airports, etc now banning big purses, Crossbody bags are the way to go. However, you wear what you want and makes you feel good. Large bags causes back problems so that part. My Apple Watch counts my steps, I can talk on it, and so much more. Speak for yourself. 😂
Front tucks are great if you’re short like me. Tops are so long nowadays. They swallow me up.
Yeah like why?!!??
@@kelly.nicole it makes us short ladies look longer legged.
@@Stacey7742 Interesting, I am 5’7” and have a long torso and I have been seeing ‘cropped’ style tops everywhere!!
@@kelly.nicole Because some people have long (or extra long) torsos? Also, perhaps some people appreciate the extra coverage. If they want to hem the top or have it altered, they have that choice at least!
@ there are a lot more out there now (and I’ve bought a lot of them) but I do find a lot of tops that I’d love to have but they’re just too dang long.
I will always use my crossbody bag. I can’t stand the front tuck.
You’re right, Love you, Shea!❤❤❤, still wearing my crossbody😍 it will come back…eventually 😂
So agree about the watch!!! The best accessory is a big smile!!! xxoo Ava
Cross body is the only safe purse when you live in a city to keep your valuables close to you.
Great video!! I wish you could have seen me in church this morning. I had on a sweater with two silver bows and shoes with bows. Also, yes to wearing crossbody purses. LOL...thanks so much for all of the hard work you do in giving us great videos!! Merry Christmas
Funny when you say "nobody is wearing this anymore..."
Then i step outside and everyone around is wearing, what you just said nobody is 😂 like the cross body bag..... people will never stop ditching a practical thing 😊
I'm so glad crossbody bags are going out of style!
That means the thrift stores will be full of them.
I'll score bigtime.
Haha!!
Crossbody bags will never go out of style. It is the most functional and suitable for every season. Not forgetting the winter heavy coats & jackets, nobody is going to carry a shoulder bag with it.
Shallow is the word in my mind right now. I cannot bring myself to finish this video.
I feel like if one is a smart shopper, you can always make your existing wardrobe work - if you style things correctly.
Very informative..I loved this vedio..I always skip otherwise. Everything was making sense..Thankyou so much
