Symbicort twisted wrong - did I take too much medication?

- Common questions I receive about Symbicort and a demonstration of correct inhaler technique. If you twist the Symbicort more than needed, will this affect the amount of medication you inhale? Is it possible to overdose with medication this way?

Thank you so much. 🙏 I wish doctors and pharmacists were half as interested as you are in explaining to us how to use an inhaler properly before we get started and make a bunch of mistakes.
Appreciate your detailed videos simplifying the symbicort device. Thanks a ton
thank you for your demonstration now i understand how
What my doctor said when i was a kid was that you're breathing it in right if you hear the whistle sound.
My gf took 80 dosis at once, we went to the doctor immediately and they told her the drug is not letal. She was ok after 2 hours of shakings and chest pain .
Gracias very much
I accidentally took more than 5 doses at once and im currently shaking my hands are shaking alot , my doctor said it will go away after 24 hours is there anything i should do or worry about ?
Uhhh I twisted 5 times to see if the numbers on the side even moved. It moved very slowly. I just realized it's about doses in grams and not amount of dose sooo I kinds ruined it.
I wasn't sure if it was working cuz I didn't feel or taste anything.
Is it normal for a dose counter to stay at 120 even though I used it 5 times?
Can you drink coffee with symbicort
Thanks for the good info and demo. I’ve been taking symbicort for years and I’ve gotten a bit sloppy. I’ll be more conscious of using it now. I also use it for rescue once in a while.
Since it’s a steroid are there long term effects?
I basically thought that if its 60 , when i take a dose the number should become 59 .. so i thought im not taking the dose cz im still seeing number 60 ... and kept on trying and taking doses until number 40 appeared 😅 i dont think im okay 😂 plz reply
yeah this number issue is terrible!
Oh my god did you really take that many doses all at once?
Yes 🥲
Can I use a spacer ?
MY PROBLEM IS I AM LOSING MY VOICE, ITS VERY RASPY, AND HOARSE!
IS MY DOSAGE TOO MUCH?
I WAS TOLD TO TAKE 2 PUFFS IN THE MORNING, AND 2 AT NIGHT
i made a comment about these situations in this video: ruclips.net/video/-58lIK2LcTI/видео.html
I twisted it too much and now it's zero so is it empty? what should I do? I’m freaking out
may just need to get a replacement, no need to freak our
Doc i inhaled so may times but i dont know if i overdose or no powder came out
Lol that's what I thought. It's micro powder if u hear a click its correct. You want feel anything. I twisted it 5 times to see if the numbers on the side move and it did... one twist click breathe in. Twist next time.
Good day, I kept on twisting my brand new inhaler and now its on zero without it ever being used, does this mean its empty or can i reset it?
i am not sure to be honest, may be wise to get a replacement
Symbicort side effects are horrible. Stay with advair/sereride.
Not everyone has side effects. Every person responds differently to medication and only that person's doctor can advise them what medication is recommended in their case.
@@DrStefanCristianStanel you right. I am at the moment in the Philippines and I have to tell the Doc what I want and need. At the moment I have a flare up and got me Medrol and switch back to Seretide tomorrow. Symbicort is not working anymore after 4 month. Doc here want to give me Meptin, tried 2. Not working at all. Anyway, thanks for all videos. Very interesting. Really enjoy your channel.
Thanks for your support i hope you manage to sort it out with your doc!
