I received my Victor today including 137 pages of operating instructions, I love this module
I love that you managed to get the USB on the front panel. More designers should do this.
No kidding. Audio-based updates are a huge pain in the ass. SD cards can makes sense if your setup isn't near a PC but USB is the most accessible and easy to use for everyone. Especially with the Behringer update app. Would be nice if they put it on mobile.
Perfect visual and acoustic demo ! Thanks
Simple but powerful. Brilliant module and appropriately priced.
Excellent WORK Behringer ! Sounds BEAUTIFUL Time to order my first 2024 purchase.
I have to say this sounds fantastic. And modulating the joystick with cv and also being able to use it as a cv source is excellent.
Indeed, another toy to add to my Behringer collection. 👍
ты что все новинки от Beringer покупаешь???
gotta catch em all!! XD
@@bogelmanDDD Translation (Are you buying all the new products from Beringer???) No, only the ones I find useful.
Нет, только те, которые считаю полезными.
@@bogelmanDDD И ты не?
that thing sounds amazing! I have to get one.
The year is 6402 and the Victor is finally available for purchase at your local music dealer
Zzzzzzz
It would be nice if there was motion recording on that joystick.
Dammit Patrick! You always make me wanna buy stuff that i don't need... I don't even have a euro rack stand! Show mercy!
Hehe sorry mate (I think lol). Cheers, Patrick.
Beautiful!❤❤❤❤
I know almost nothing about modular synthesis, but this makes me want to learn! Loved your demo @PatchDog ! Victor looks and sounds sweet! 🤩
That sounds pretty sweet!
I pre-ordered VS-mini in August 2023 and you know what? I'm still waiting (Thomann)😂
Got a pair on preorder. Really wonderful sound on display here. Another excellent video. Well done!
same, i took a pair there on the way still . did you recieve ? how are two together ?
@@MorbidManoeuvres not yet. Sweetwater was saying May delivery. Hopefully we'll see a bump up.
Good work!
can´t wait to have it in the rack. The joystick outputs are a really usefull idea, Folks!
Fits next to a Wasp, Model D, Cat in a 84hp frame 😮👍
amazed baby boy 😮
@@tuneboyz5634 No u
ufff I bet that sounds so good
Really nice synth, would make friends with my moogs
Amazing sounds ☺♥♪
BRO 😍superos ♦♦♦
You did it! Nice!
Want the VS, but NEED this!
good stuff.
Nice.. Really nice. I pre ordered this months ago.. I might be getting it soon then...
Sounds really good
I gotta say, it's pretty cool. I might have to build one of those in PureData
Sounds amazing, I need to review one
This would be amazing with the vectors under motion control from my Roland AE-30 wind synth! ❤
My dream module would be the MIDI to CV converter from the Neutron (including the Assign function) with four additional CC to CV channels. The Neutron is a perfect match for the AE-30 but I want to have that conversion capability within my rack.
Thank You
Yet another cool device/module! 👍
Шикарно! Very Nice!
Super interesting.
Nice!
To the victor the spoils. I'll show myself out.
That's great and all, but is there any update on what happened to the shipping of MS1/101 mkII?
Very nice ❤
5:47 Nice modulation sounds.
If I didn’t have a solaris I might have bought it, sounding great !
Ditto 😉
I will certainly buy 3 or more. The CV I/O for the joystick are great for linking the modules or for recording. Recording the whole movement via my Hermod module from squarp and playing it back as a patch will be great.
Sound nice 👍
Can you play it paraphonically up to 4 voices like with the pro vs mini?
You had me at: "It's morphin' time"
Had mine on pre order since day one. Looking forward to giving it a whirl.
Come on Bheringer, when are you going to hit us up with that distant 'kin' of the synthesizer, the digitalized version of the reel-to-reel tape recorder?
Back in the day the synth was coupled to the long-playing recorder, it was part of the process, something we now take for granted. These largely anonymous contraptions preserved those happy accidents so that they could be recalled and noddled into something joyous.
These days we have the Daw, or the digital recorder but you can't just leave those things running, instead you have to make that conscious effort set them up and then to hit record, by which time that spark of an idea, has been and gone.
So how about it Bheringer, something new, something borrowed something true. You can make this happen. A device which is always on, always in your audio chain, always recording waiting for you to hit record ' after the event', to preserve the last wow, the last minute, the last 5 mins, the last 10 mins, or the last 30 mins of recording. You would just hit the appropriate button 1 5 10 30 for that span to be saved to SD as a lossless file. A forever moment. [This must read like something from the first episode of that netflix series Black Mirror.]
The SP404 has something called the 'skip back' providing a miserly 40 seconds of audio recall. This might be ok for a beat, but its not nearly enough for any other kind of instrumentalist. If this were 5 mins i might have jumped on it. If you could make a device to take a verity audio input/output types with a high enough audio quality to auto-loop for at least 30 mins, I and other musicians across the full spectrum of music would thank you for this 'forever machine'.. Anyone who has ever jammed and thought 'if only i could have recorded that', will thank you.
It would open the gates to original and spontaneous. It would change music. From a record of familiar muscle memories, or labored notation into a real stream of consciousness.. You could transition from practice into creation and not stop to turn something on .
After the basic 'reel-to-real' version you might add effects, and extend the time and features, it would be its own thing, a new whatchamacallit.
Great! 👌👍🧡❤️
oh no it sounds amazing
When is this available in Australia - so far not been able to find a retailer with it in stock?
We need to receive the classic version first...
"Give me the vector, Victor!" My favourite line from movie Airplane.
The first thing to pop into my mind, too 😁
mine was the one with the boobs
epic film with so many quotes
Surely you can't be serious.
@@villageidiot9867 I am serious, and don't me Shirley.
😅 This sounds really good! 👍🏾
I'm glad they're making things that AREN'T clones
I ordered the pro vs mini in August and it is still not fulfilled from Sweetwater. I have tons of Behringer gear but I want some new toys for Christmas 🎁 😊. Nice module btw!!
Sweetwater says they are not expecting these until May 2024. Ridiculous!
Same here. This video pretends like it's already out there lol.
Sounds great, especially with the Abacus. I want to know if the skiff being used (which looks like the Neutron size) will be for sale because I want ine so badly I am even considering building it.
hi, they have been for years.....Behringer Eurorack 104
@@markrundle4702 The 104 are not the Neutron size (80hp) like in the video. I calculated the size of the modules in the video and they are 80hp.
@@markrundle4702 Perhaps I should explain that I have the 3 tier stand with the Neutron and the K-2 installed. I would like the third one to be a set of modules instead of another synth.
Hey, Patrick here, I just use the Eurorack case from my Behringer K-2 for the videos. There is no similar size skiff available from Behringer products but I agree, they should release something smaller than the 104. And even better add a top section above it. I will ask Uli to see if they can consider it.
That's a good idea. Does sound good with analog filters. Guess it's real cheap too
Nice demo. This will sell units.
So did you guys drop the polyphony over USB feature you advertised at announcement?
Yeah, that sounds cool.
But would you be so kind to tell us what „sound modeling“ you used for recording? I don’t see anything in the Video or description. There „seems“ to be at last, some reverb and delay!
Its absolut okay to use these but i just want to know/ hear the „bare sound“ of the Modul. Or at last, want to know whats been used in the recording to sweeten it up!
I’d liked to have seen a patch example using the X/Y Outputs but this looks like a sure fire winner!
Hey, whats the module second from the left of screen..? Thanks
What reverb are you using with it?
I was actually just doing some research about the RCA Mark II Sound Synthesizer, which just so happens to be the first programmable synthesizer invented by Herbert Belar and Harry Olson at the RCA labs in Princeton, New Jersey 1955. It was also nicknamed "Victor". I'm wondering if the Mark II Sound Synthesizer inspired the name.
its a reference to vector synthesis, and in particular to the prophet VS synth, which has also been cloned by Arturia in the V collection. so "vector" becomes "victor" here as a cheeky nod to the original.
I ordered a Behringer Mini-VS back in August... have not arrived yet, so well.. dont get your hopes up people.
Nice ! Im Stil waiting Ford my vs Mini 😢 ! But i get Last week the edge ! Maybe you have time for a Video about the Edge ? Merry chtistmas and a Good new year!
In a couple of years from its announcement, AS USUAL, you will be able to buy it.
I don't know much about Eurorack but it sounds great!
You can see the very whobbly data wheel while tuning around with your fingers 😂😂😂
Superb !
Behringer going better and better amazing 👍🙌😍
Please, please, please, Give us a full Eurorack/module version of the prophet vs........ Ive ordered my Victor but, I neeeeed a full VS
It's one voice right? And no filter? Only oscillator?
ビクターいいですね〜、ぜひ実機を操作してみたいです。
But where is the reverb and delay coming from?
Definitely feeling the RYK Vectorwave here, but I personally like the bigger thumbstick on the Victor.
This makes me wanr to buy the vs mini, its the same, right?
I would be great if they made that an actual package, all those modules with case together.
Wonderful stuff. I have the Pro VS mini, but this sort of video make me really wonder if I shouldn't make a jump back into modular synthesis with Eurorack... I had a modest MOTM modular synth up until 5 years ago when I sold it to clear a creditcard debt, but miss the patching and experimenting if I'm honest... but first, saving up for an UB-Xa...
ue madee a vey great job like in a lot of new generation of your analog synth,...its crazy...we are far from the first compresser
i love victor 'vikiran kotor'
more BX700 news, next, please!!
What’s the sequencer used in the video? 5:17
I like 👍🏻
Nice work already pre ordered ❤
you should have it no later than 2027
I'd like to buy all of this gear. Is this all behringer stuff?
It sounds like I'm gonna have to make some room in my rack for this bad boy!
Dear Uli Santa/Weihnachtsmann: I have been a very good boy and so have my friends so please clone the new TE KO2 and fix all the design and build issues with it. Give it more memory and polyphony and charge 400 or 500, it will still be reasonably priced, Behringer-style. I've noticed you haven't made grooveboxes and samplers but you can make a killing with this. Optionally, if you made one that incorporated a two or three octave keyboard and charged 600, it would compete directly with MPC keys and make more sense for both the general aficionados and actual musicians who don't give a damn about endless production bells and whistles. Don't forget to include all the good of the KO2, including a high quality mic, a similar sound set and that super easy interface. Include resampling, reverse, pattern chaining, wait mode for record, do plenty of testing before releasing it so it doesn't glitch, and if you feel extra generous, give it an internal battery. With that hypothetical box I will be a good boy forever.
@Behringer May ask what rack case you used for this demo of the Victor?? Thank you.
Hi, I just used the Case of my K-2 synth, just removed the front plate, I've been using that setup for all the Behringer Modular videos as it fits nicely on my desk compared to the bigger case and easier to film it ;). Cheers, Patrick.
@@PatchDog Nice but the thing is I have many of the Behringer modules & purchased the skiff cases which is a bit long for my desk. I've not yet purchased any of the Behringer gear like the K2 ect. Just wish Behringer produced shorter mod cases
Yeah I agree, I'd prefer a case that is roughly the size of the Eurorack Synths and maybe with a thin standup section above it of the same length so you can add more modules above it. Something more compact than the Eurorack GO and less wide than the Skiff case. I could ask the head of synths about that possibility. @@thepcgamer2169
@@PatchDog Indeed so. Seem Behringer are using there short cases from the K2 ect. Just wish or hope they produce these cases avail soon over the Skiff case.
Yes that's what I'm using, I'm the guy who makes the Behringer videos. I've asked the Synth Dep to consider making a smaller skiff case available. @@thepcgamer2169
Whats the Reverb used?
yessss 🤤👍
What eurorack case is this?
4:41 is the best part, even though it's just the wavetable
10:12 Nice Nice
Where can I study electronic sound design?
Nice. But with 2 Eurorack Go cases already full of stuff i've either got to kick something out of the rack to make room for Victor, i i'm going to have to expand to a 3rd case :o
why is the patch cable running underneath the case?
It makes it look neater when I'm filming the demos ;)
Behringer is pure love ❤
If only I could get my hands on a JT or Pro VS 😩
Can I upload own Wavetables?
I dont need those old Prophet VS waves to make 80s sound. The wavetables sound kind of boring, I‘d like to upload my own fresh ones, that would be awesome Behringer!
Uli, my Pro-VS mini has been delayed till February 2024 but this is shipping? 😤
can the frequency be modulated at audio rates?
Yes, he's doing that in the video.
@@EricBlair-jg2ux All I see him modulating it with an LFO at 100hz. I'm asking if you can do FM synthesis with it
Exactly, you answered your own question, he's modulating the FM with an LFO (the Four LFO module) set to audio rates...you can easily hear it and see it. Whats the confusion?@@cooksoni.a
Do this with the EMS please.
