I’m am at my lathe today. I’ve been making vases and “flowers” from a “Capital Pear” tree the was toppled by high winds a couple of years ago in a neighbors yard. The broken tree has already made a dozen people happy…. and I still have some left to turn. I get my greatest pleasure at seeing my work displayed in the homes and businesses of people I love. At the age of 68, I hope that these works of love last a long time and give pleasure to many……. and maybe a bring back memory of me after I’m gone!!
Interesting thoughts. As spring approaches my time in the workshop diminishes, but I did get to spend a day carving "dust collectors" of the cartoon kind. Hopefully they will bring smiles out of waste wood.
Lee Valley, would you consider printing this on a metal sign or poster? I would hang it in my shop garage for inspiration. Especially when a project goes horribly wrong!
Sounds like Nick Offerman!
It's gotta be, right?
Hey! It's Ron Swanson!

Blessed are the people who are fortunate to pursue their passion and not have to become the slave of monies.

Woodworking is a great way of finding peace within yourself.
I love this ad. Inspiring. Nice work.
Making a stair rail, but mostly sharpening a plane iron, it seems 😊
I built more than thirty cabinets for a single kitchen today. Just another satisfying day in the cabinet shop.

Too bad you don't deliver most tools, for pick up only is why you are losing out on many sales.
