Those aren't brass nails. Brass plated maybe, but that would cost hundreds and take a lot of time to separate the brass plating from the steel. Which he didn't show. He changed metals.

I'm really interested by casting. I saw a guy cast Brass Knuckles from a sand mould, I know you need equipment to make it happen, but it's pretty cool that you can cast from home anything you want that is hard to buy

It is not just sand,mold sand is mixed with some binders and cooked. After cooking it becomes more rigid. Notice the sand around the mold is loose and and different color than the mold sand that is probably why you asked the question
